  • Police night traffic stop safety?

I was recently pulled over at night and the cop was relatively close to the rear of my car. after he let me off with a warning (first speeding offense), I pretty much had to make a leap of faith to pull out back on the road because his headlights were blinding me so i could not see if there were any other cars coming behind me. Does anyone else think police officers should be required to turn off their headlights to allow a car to merge with traffic after a stop?

This is an un-lit 4 lane divided highway. I was in the median and he was too close for me to see around the car and i could not look through the windshield of his car to look behind me because of his lights

the X is me and the cop is the P

what I am saying is there was physically no way for me to see past him to see if anyone was coming. It is not inexperience or poor judgement, I just couldn't see around the officer's car or headlights to safely pull into traffic from a dead stop. IF he would have turned off his headlights and left his running lights on it would have been safer for both of us.

  • how do i fix a hole in a subwoofer?

I have a pair of 12" subwoofers made in like 2003. i got them for doing some work for somebody on their truck. came with a box and a rockford fosgate amp. they are well used to say the least. the whole assembly has been more or less flopping around in the back of a SUV all of its life and now one of the woofer cones has a hole in it about as big as a dime. I was thinking about filling it with JB weld after backing it with a piece of tape. any ideas? its an older style MTX sub. I think its some kind of composite paper construction. its not metal or plastic

  • Need Help tracking down my father?

I am 19 years old and I have a lot of unanswered questions. I have found some information about him and I have used a public records search site. the lat trace of him i can find is a release date from Clay County Jail in Florida from November 2009. His Name is Bernard Benjamin Godwin. He is 58 years old. I have no idea where to look for him. he has no listed phone number and his last listed address(on his release report) traced him to a motel in Orange Park, FL. Any advice? Leads would be very helpful if anyone knows of him. its a long shot i know... i can give more information upon request including a link to his release record page.

  • Is it worth it to remove my air conditioner compressor?

i have a 1996 Saturn SL1. I don't have the money to replace my worn out A/C compressor, and I need to install a new accessory belt anyway. since the belt that drives nothing but the alternator and water pump is cheaper than the one that drives the A/C pump too, that will be a savings. My car is equipped with a manual steering rack, so it doesn't have a power steering pump. would it be worth my time ( about 1.5 hours) to remove my old compressor and just leave it off. will i gain any horsepower?

  • transmission problem?

I have a 1996 Saturn SL1 w/ a 5-speed manual transaxle. Every time i perform a hard launch and quick gear changes, the shifter becomes abnormally hard to move, not like it is stuck but like it is dragging or something. please do not tell me that i need to just not try to push my car. what could cause this problem? i have heard that shifter bearings are bad about going out in these cars. any advice would be helpful. thanks.
