  • help with coolant leak on a Peugeot 106 1998?

I have a severe coolant leak, coolant runs straight through and all over the floor!! My dad thinks it is coming from a pipe that goes into the intake manifold. How easy and how expensive would this be to fix? Both by my dad or a garage.

    Many thanks in advance

  • help with Saxo alternator / battery wires?

My car failed to start yesterday and a kindly AA man passing by had a look and jump started me only for the car to die when he took his cables off. He had a look and said that the connection on the end of the wire that goes from the battery to the alternator, and thus charges the battery I guess, was missing. So I called my recovery and they said the same thing, cheap and easy job did I want to go to garage. I say no, I will get someone to do it if it is easy and so he towed me home.

Phone Citroen today for a quote on the part and they say no, no no. I need a new engine harness which is going to be a few hundred.....

Any clues on the actual name for this part or on what I actually need doing?

  • help, overheating clio!!!?

For some reason the cooling fan is not kicking in. So far, the thermostat and the fan switch have been relaced, and the fan has been tested using a bridge. When the fan is forced to come on the engine does start to cool....what else could be the problem and how much for parts to get it fixed.

  • Software running in the background?

    I run windows vista

Once in a while, I can tell that something is running in the background on my laptop. Everything slows down, the sound changes etc. It is automatic, I do not run it

My question is: how do I find out what software is running and the background and how do I stop it.

All I know for sure is that it is not Windows Defender, or any other scan etc

    Thanks

  • my pc won't turn on / start / powerup.?

I have an e system pc that it is a few years old now, but has had limited (ish) use as it is a second pc. It was working fine last night - not making any weird noises, no pop up warning etc. Went to turn it on today and nothing. I have checked the fuse, and the power lead, checked all switches etc and still nothing. It has always had a pretty loud fan. Does it sound like it needs a new PSU?

  • laptop overheating and slow?

I have a fujitsu- siemens laptop, which has 14 months old and has been great until recently.

Problem 1: It has started getting really hot and then shutting down. I think this may because the Little rubber feet have fallen off of the bottom, and so circulation is bad. How can I remedy this? Can I replace the little rubber pads?

Problem 2: It has started getting really slow!!!! I have run windows defender and AVG free etc and nothing is being picked up. Is there a good way of scanning for viruses and problems?

It has Vista Home Premium OS

Is this possible? I don't want to try it without knowing in case something goes bonkers. Thanks in advance
