Tips for staying awake?
I'm taking this new medication, fluoxetine, that makes me really, really tired. I'll sleep 10 hours a night, but after two hours awake I'm really tired and craving sleep again. I've tried drinking both coffee and tea, but coffee makes me nauseous and tea doesn't really have the strong effect I'm looking for. Any advice for staying awake and alert?
1 AnswerOther - General Health Care7 years agoRomance manga with yandere guy?
I'm looking for romance manga where the male love interest(s) is an extreme yandere. He acts really sweet and gentle towards the person he loves, but would do anything to keep him/her. This includes kidnapping and/or locking up the person/beating up or killing people close to her or him/being overly jealous and possessive. Yaoi or normal shoujo both work. It would be nice if it was a longer/completed work, but it doesn't have to be. I know there are a lot of manga with yandere girls, but don't include them as I know about most of them already. I'm just interested in guy yanderes, specifically in a romantic relationship. The more you can list, the better. Thanks!
4 AnswersComics & Animation7 years agoI can't remember the name of this trance/techno song?!?
The name/band name had something to do with colors, light, neon, that sort of thing. It started out slow, then picked up about a minute in with violins, then slowed down again towards the end. Towards the end there was this sort-of beat boxing thing done with this clicky sound.
2 AnswersOther - Music7 years agoWhat is the name of this song?
The only lyrics I can remember are "When will your silver clouds // Stop spilling acid rain?" I heard this song more than 7 years ago, and I don't remember the name of it. I already looked on a lot of song lyrics sites, so please don't suggest those.
1 AnswerLyrics7 years agoWhat's the name of this yaoi oneshot?
I found this oneshot several years ago, but I haven't been able to find it since. The name has 'strawberry' in the title, but I'm not sure what the rest of the title is. The story starts off with the seme asking the uke if he wants to f***, and the uke says yes. Later on, the uke walks in on the seme having sex with a girl while eating a piece of cake. Then, he and the uke have sex on the roof of the school building. Anyone know the name of the oneshot and where I can find it?
1 AnswerComics & Animation8 years agoAnime characters with tan skin and glasses?
I'm looking for an anime character to cosplay, but I'm not sure who I should try. I'm half-Indian so my skin is pretty tan, and I wear glasses, and I know that there aren't many characters out there that have those two qualities. Does anyone have any suggestions?
2 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoWhere can I read Swan by Kyoko Ariyoshi?
I absolutely love this ballet manga, Swan, but as far as I know they have only released 15 out of 21 volumes in English. I really want to read the rest of the manga, so does anyone know where there might be scanlations of it or if someone plans to scanlate it? I don't read Japanese so raw downloads won't work!
3 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoShaving problems! Red itchy bumps when I shave my legs?
Whenever I shave my legs, I get these red, itchy, bumpy rashes all over my legs. I've tried a multitude of razors and shave creams, including the gillete electric razors and venus 4 bladed ones, but I keep getting the bumps. It's gotten so bad that I can't even shave my legs without causing myself extreme pain from itching, and since it's summer and very hot, you can see why that would be a problem. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the lubricating strip on the razors. Anyway, does anyone have any advice for me on what I could do?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions8 years agoCould anyone tell me what this painting is called?
I bought this painting at a thrift store that looks a lot like a Van Gogh piece in terms of style. I think it's a remake of one of his works, but I'm not sure which. The painting is of a flower garden. In the forefront, there are some white flowers; behind them are some purple irises. In the back there is a white picket fence covered by some red flowers, and a stream runs from the back to the front on the left side of the painting. If someone could tell me what this painting is called, that would be great! Thanks!
3 AnswersPainting8 years agoAny really good romantic comedy shoujo manga?
Just like the title specifies. I'm looking for something that will make me laugh out loud and will have really relateable, adorable characters. I've already read:
Honey and Clover
OHSHC
Kimi ni Todoke
Gakuen Alice
Boku ga Ita
Red River
Kitchen Princess
Vampire Knight
High School Debut
Beauty Pop
Peach Girl
Shugo Chara
Hana Kimi
Boys Over Flowers
Lovely Complex
Kaichou wa Maid Sama
Hot Gimmick
Gentleman's Alliance Cross
MeruPuri
Beauty is the Beast
Kare Kano
Pluses for series that have magic or the supernatural. I'd prefer series that are longer, at least 10 volumes. No seinen/ecchi types please.
4 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoWhat is the name of this manga and where can I find it?
I clicked on this manga I'd read before, but the first chapter was from an entirely different manga! Thinking that they got the title wrong, I continued reading it, and I actually really liked it! I only got through the first chapter before the scan reverted back to the normal manga, and because the manga has the incorrect name, I couldn't find it. Does anyone know what it is? A quick summary of the first chapter: the main character is a girl who wants to be a model, but because her mom was a model and suffered a lot of strife because of her work, her dad doesn't want her to pursue her dream. Despite her dad's wishes, she enters a model competition and is selected as one of the top 50 competitors. She goes to the agency for the 2nd round of the competition, and the first chapter ends after she does a practice shoot with a photographer who turns out to be her childhood friend. Here is a link to the first chapter; to reiterate, the name it is under isn't the name of the manga.
2 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoCalculus Question: Only Those with Calc Experience Please?
Each of the curves y=(ksub1)x and y=(ksub2)x^2 pass through the point (20,10) in quadrant 1. The base of a solid is the area between the two curves. Find the volume of the solid when the cross-sections perpendicular to the x-axis are equilateral triangles with the endpoints of an edge on each of the two curves.
1 AnswerMathematics8 years agoWhat's worse than being in the friend zone?
This is asked purely out of curiosity on my part. Now, I've heard and read a lot of complaints from guys about being "friend-zoned", when a girl tells you that she "just wants to be friends" or she "likes you, but not like that" . I can understand why this would be frustrating and depressing. However, is being friendzoned the worst thing that can happen, or would it be worse for the girl to tell you that you have ruined your friendship and that she no longer feels comfortable around you, and asks you not to contact her again? Honest opinions please!
4 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoWhat is the order of the Gundam series?
I'm interested in reading/watching the different Gundam series. I know that there are several (Seed, Mobile Suit, etc), but what order do they go in? If there isn't an order, can someone please list all the different ones and tell me which one I should start with? And overall, which one was the best in terms of plot and art? Thanks!
2 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoChristian Mom vs Agnostic Child - Help!?
I made the decision to become agnostic several years ago, mostly because there are many things in religion that I just don't want to be a part of. That said, I have the utmost respect for all religions, and would never demean someone for what faith they had. My mother, on the other hand, has always been a steadfast Christian, especially of late as my siblings and I have been busy with school and my father with work. She goes to church every week, as well as bible study and other Christian groups. I don't feel the same, but I try to respect all her choices. However, she's never really acknowledged that I'm agnostic, and continually asks me to go to church with her. I always decline, except for twice a year on Christmas and Easter when my whole family goes. Sometimes when I decline, she lets it go; other times though, she'll try to goad or guilt me into coming with her. She'll say things like "Everyone else is going" or "Why can't you do this one thing for me?" I just want her to respect my choice and accept that I'm not a Christian. I love her a lot and she's a wonderful mom, and I do feel bad that because no one else in our immediate family is very religious, she often will go to church alone. At the same time, I don't want to force myself into doing something that I don't believe in. Am I right in my behavior, or am I being selfish?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow to find out where a function is differentiable and continuous?
First off, this is a calculus question; those without experience need not answer. Also, prior knowledge of derivatives is needed. Here's the question:
Find a and b so that f(x) is continuous and differentiable:
f(x) = { ax - 7b, x (less than or equal to) 2
bx^2 - 3a, x > 2
I understand how to find the continuous part, but I'm confused on how to make sure this function is differentiable. Thanks in advance!
1 AnswerHomework Help9 years agoIs KHR anime worth watching?

5 AnswersComics & Animation9 years agoQuestions about persistent cough?
For several months now I have been plagued with a persistent wet, hacking cough. The cough comes on several times per day, and often I will hack and cough until I feel like I'm about to throw up. No phlegm or blood comes out when I cough, but I do sometimes feel a heaviness in my chest. I do have both asthma and allergies, but I have been taking medicine for both so I don't think that's it. All my vaccinations are up to date, and besides the cough I've had no other symptoms of sickness. Any thoughts on what it could be?

2 AnswersComics & Animation9 years agoQuestion about Toradora and Okamisan?
I was watching episode 8 of Okamisan when I saw and heard something really strange. In the episode, they briefly show 3 girls who look exactly like the three main girl characters of Toradora. Not only that, but they were introduced by the same last names of the girls too (Aisaka, Kushieda, and Kawashima)! Is this some crazy coincidence, or is there another reason for this?
