  • Candidate's solution to failing economy...?

Ok, I just have to voice my opinion here. I saw a debate in which John McCain said he would like to buy out all failing mortgages and rework them with the lenders at the homes current value. That sounds great....IF you own your home. So now, if you are a struggling renter, how does that help you? It doesn't. It will, however help your landlord, because the mortgage on the place you are living will be bought up and reworked to an obviously lesser amount, thus lowering how much your landlord will pay for said property. So in a sense, landlords will stand to make considerably MORE money off the already struggling renter. Some of us aren't able to buy houses now, and have been squeaking by with renting. With this plan, homeowners (many of whom overextended themselves to buy that perfect place) are being rewarded and the rest of us are kicked in the dirt. Just my $0.02.

  • Credit rebuilding with decent income.?

I have a pretty good income. I am also looking to buy a home in the near future. My credit is less than perfect, but can pay off past amounts rather quickly. My question is: if I do this, will it really help my credit, and how long will it take to reflect in my score? I have had difficulty obtaining a credit report due to some errors on it. How do I go about getting and correcting my report. Thank you in advance for any help offered!

  • Driveability issue on a 94 Ram 1500?

This truck is developing a bad stutter when under load. Backfires through exhaust as well, and is worse when in overdrive. The fuel pressure regulator, EGR valve, and MAP sensor have all been replaced (by the owner) for this concern, but nothing changed. There are no faults stored, however, with the DRB II, I have had secondary indicators trip for "No crankshaft reference signal to PCM" and "MAP sensor voltage too high." I might also add that I cannot communicate with any other modules: bus + and bus - open. I am only a light drive tech, so this goes over my head. Any help is appreciated!

  • Coleman furnace blower cycles frequently but burner stays on...not very warm.?

I am helping a friend with a Coleman furnace (model 7956-856). The blower cycles frequently on for about a minute, then off for a few minutes. The burner seems to remain lit. A repair facility replaced the thermocouple for this same concern and it didn't seem to effect anything.

The thermostat is set at 70, but show a temperature of 55. I took a thermometer and at the furthest heat vent, got a reading of 82 when the blower was on. That seemed low to me, as my own furnace blows out at 140 at the vents.

I appreciate any help on this and any advice will save a good friend some "hard to come by" cash.

  • Mobile home draining problem?

My mobile home has developed a few drain issues. First, when my washing machine drains, the kitchen sink gurgles (separate rooms). This isn't such a big deal, just annoying.

Second, and this is a more recent problem, my second bathroom toilet acts as if it is stopped up. When I use the plunger on it, it forces everything back up the sink drain. Is this a major blockage, or some other issue?

  • How do you let your employer of 3 weeks know that you are leaving to return to a former employer?

I was offered my old position back with a substantial increase. I have been with my current employer for only 3 weeks. How should I let them know without burning bridges. Note: I like my current employer as well, but would rather go back.
