  • Self employed job. Min wage?

There's a job advertised that I'm interested in. It states min wage guaranteed but requests that candidates should be self employed? I dont get it. I thought that if you are self employed that the min wage does not apply

  • Mother inlaw expecting too much?

My bf and I are expected to come every weekend. Not just one day but Fri,Sat and if possible a Sun. If she could, she'd want us there on weekdays as well. She's already got my bf sleeping over at hers 2 or 3 nights when he should be home with me helping to look after our new baby. Instead I'm lookin after baby myself and another child of school age (from previous marriage).

Mother in law has cancer and is understandable that she'd want to spend as much time as possible with her son and grandchild.(but I have suspicion she'd expect the same even if she didn't have cancer).

This is not her only grand child. She has 4 other grand children and they're there every weekend also, plus other family members/relatives so it's not like she's ever on her own. She still has 3 son/daughter living at home with her too. So please don't think she's an old lady living on her own. She's very fortunate indeed. doesn't even need to cook as her children do when I'm not there or it's a family bucket from KFC.

I don't mind so much but I've just had baby(her grandchild) 5 months ago and an older child from previous marriage to look after. It's been non stop for me since coming out of hospital.

Older child is at crucial developmental stage in her life and I want to be there for her and have quality one to one time but instead I'm off to mother in law's house cooking and cleaning for household and leaving older child at home as she doesn't want to come.

Also when we're over there baby doesn't/can't sleep due to noise level and amount of people and I'm the one to try and settle cranky babyat end of day. Bf is conked out on sofa by then. no help.

When I'm not cooking and cleaning, I'm also stuck holding baby when mother in law gets tired and had enough of play with her grandchild. Where's bf I hear you ask? Well he's on the sofa relaxing because MUMMY'S PRECIOUS son needs his rest because he works so hard, unlike me of course.

When I say 'stuck holding', baby I meant that if I was at home I could play with baby on play mat, or put favourite program on, or let run about in walker but because her place is crowded and space unlimited all I can do is sit on chair holding squirming baby or sometimes standing. I don't even get a chance to eat dinner properly.

She now wants me to move house to her area and has asked me to change my daughter's school to one in her borough. 'so that we can be CLOSE by'

What do you think? Reason I ask is because bf thinks I'm being unreasonable if I don't want to come over because I'm tired and that I'm being spiteful by not bringing her granchild over to see her.

  • spam emails from loan & credit companies...Identity theft? Virus?

I don't know very much about computers and online stuff, (don't even know how to send emails, no joke), but the other day I had applied for a credit card and now I keep getting emails from loan/credit companies. When I read the messages (thinking that it was a confirmation of my application) it takes me to another page with the name of another company and they had all my details already filled in the little boxes. Not my card details though. I'm not that silly. Just my name, address and DOB. But how did this company get my details when I didn't enter the information? I'm worried about identity theft or virus. What should I do and how do I stop receiving these spam messages.

  • What a 3 month baby's poo should look like?

I have a month old baby and his poo has changed from yellow mustard colour to a muddy green. At first it came out yellowy green and firm but now is pastey, thick tar like and a dark muddy green colour. Is this normal?

  • Are baby bottles still sterile?

I steam sterilise my baby bottles and leave them in the steriliser (with the container lid closed) ready for next use. The bottles still have droplets of condensation inside. Is this water sterile or do I need to rinse it again with boiling water before I make a feed?

  • Do you think that I'm a bad person?

I was told recently that my ex from years back had died. And my response was, "good; I'm glad."

Am I a bad person? Bearing in mind that he has done many bad things and has put me through hell during and after our relationship.

I can't give too much info but the things he did ranged from gambling debts, drugs to making friend with my future partners to get near me and stalking

  • Laying my own floor tiles?

I want to lay some floor tiles myself. problem is that I don't know what to use.

Do I use tile adhesive or grout?

And what is the difference between the two?

Do I have to use tile spacers for floors?

Is there a method for laying floor tiles as in where to position the tiles because I know that you don't just start from one corner and build out.

Does it make a difference what product you use for commercial or domestic properties?

  • A knock coming from under my car after each gear change?

Each time I change gear there is a slight clunk. It doesn't happen when I'm actually changing gear but after I've changed into gear and step on more gas.

The clunking is not constant just once after each gear change.

I've only noticed yesterday and the day before that my brakes juddered slightly when stepping on them.

That only happened once and has not happened since.

Does anyone have an idea of what this may be? I really don't want another large bill as I've just forked out £1000 on maintenance already.

  • Something that Mario from Big Brother said gots me a thinking. What are your views?

He was in the garden with the other guy talking about other house mates as you do, and he said something about Kat.

QUOTE: "she's not as dim as she makes out to be"

Does this mean that he thinks that she is dim and judging her because of the way she talks and behaves?

Do other housemates think that she is dum also?

Or is it a case of game strategy where they vote out the bolder characters first whom they deem as a threat and keep the safer ones till later and are now working on influensing other housemates to nominate these safe ones out?

  • Lately I have been having mood swings.?

One minute on a high and really positive and the next really blue and can't see light at end of tunnel. Also when I'm feeling down and if someone says something that I don't like the sound of I erupt. (even though later on I realise that it was me who is being irrational)

In did suffer from post natal depression many years back and was given medication but ditched the pills and dealt with my depression by taking drastic change in my life for better as I thought then that my depression was caused, not in my head, but more from outside factors. Besides the pills only made me numb from all feelings and didn't fix my circumstances.

Question: Are my mood swings just a phase because I'm a wee bit stressed at the moment or should I seek professional help?

  • Qutie a few people have said the same thing to me and it's getting me wondering?

It's usually new people I meet at college or at work etc but also friends I've known for a long time...and they all say the same thing.

I quote...,"You know what? If I didn't know you better, I would say/think that you was right moody cow and a snob/***** when I first met you, but you're not like that at all!"

I asked my friend is it my face or the way I carry myself but she couldn't say.

It must be something that I'm doing that makes all these people say the same thing.

I'm not loud or aggressive. Wouldn't hurt a fly or say boo to a mouse, in fact I'm quite timid and shy untill after I get to know these people and then I'm a great laugh (so I'm told).

  • Can you recommend mobile best suited to my needs?

I need a high pixel camera with editing and something like an organiser/calender for tasks/appointments but DO NOT want them walkman thingies or internet.

Touch screen would be great but not too fussed.

Must be able to slip in back pocket of jeans or hand bag.

  • Quickly answer please. Is it safe to eat raw oysters?

Friend came back from southend on Sunday night and has brought me some oysters that he had caught. He just brought them round today.

They don't look like the ones that I see in fishmongers where they are all nice and clean and all of same shape and size.(this batch looks kind of mutated with barnacles and stuff all over their shells.)

I love eating raw oysters but will these ones be safe to eat?

Please reply quickly as they're in water and I don't want them to go off if I've got the thumbs up to go ahead and eat them.

  • My aunt has recently been diagnosed with diabetes.?

I dont think ahe is maintaining her sugar levels very well. On top of that she is menopausel. I've given lots of leaflets to her but so much info for her to take in and she gets confused.

Can someone please explain to me in very basic terms as to what she should and should not be eating and how.. (she has irregular eating habits and either eats too big a portion or not enough). I don't think this is helping her diabetes one bit.

  • When a person in the street begs you for some spare change?

    Do you:

    a) Refuse and say, "get a job you loser."

    b) Say, "I ain't giving you money so you can get your next hit, you crack-head."

    c) Think, "you poor thing. Life must be so bad for you that you have to end up begging on the streets." and give them all your spare change.

    d) Apologetically say no, (don't know why you should) and feel that you have to give an explanation as to why you can't.

    Or none of the above.

Unfortunately I always end up doing d) but walk away thinking, "Should I or shouldn't I have done that"
