  • Good practice bow for target archery?

    So, after plinking with a long bow at a recent Renaissance Faire, I decided I would like to continue testing my skills for a while with a bow.

    Can anyone recommend a decent, low cost bow for say, shooting in the back yard? I happen to have a rather nice backstop where I live.

  • (Video available) Front Axle problems in a '91 Cherokee XJ - What broke?

    So, I'd been having some grinding and popping in my front end for a day or two, and I thought it was a stuck brake caliper.

    I went in (on the passenger side), noticed some binding and dragging in my brake pads, greased my caliper, and everything was good after that.

    The next day, I was out driving (imagine that!), and suddenly the grinding and popping was worse, and a little different. I stopped at a friend's house, and my front driver's side tire was tilted outwards at about a thirty degree angle.

    After I was able to get the wheel, caliper and rotor off, this is what I found.

    Now, I've been working on my Cherokee (and my last one) for a couple of years, but I really haven't done a lot of axle/steering work. Can someone at least get me pointed in the right direction, please?

  • Why are Congress and the President singling out a private citizen for what he says? ?

    I honestly don't understand why, in this spirit of bipartisanship, the Obamasiah and the majority party in Congress feel the need to single out a private citizen, and attack him for his words and beliefs.

    Doesn't that seem to run afoul of his Constitutionally protected First Amendment rights?

  • What ever happened to global cooling? ?

    With all the talk we hear of Global Warming today, I was just wondering whatever happened to Global Cooling?

    It used to be all the rage back in the late sixties and the early-to-mid-seventies. Where did it go?

    I mean, what ever happened to articles like this?
