I understand there are many ways to defuse anger, and my boyfriend and I have very different ways.

Mine: I will remain boiling point until splashed with apologies and/or reasons. I have to solve the both the problem and the emotional pain caused by the problem, and then I can move on. If not, I can't calm down and function at all.

His: He has a boiling point which will gradually gets cooler, like water. Depending on the issue, it will take shorter/ longer to cool down. The point is he needs to be left alone until he feels OK again. In the mean time, he doesn't want to associate with anything that remotely reminds him of the issue, and sometimes even needs alone time from everyone.

Solution?

I've been turned upside down on my head to resolve this one issue. On one side, if we do his way all the time, then I have this feeling of uncertainty where I don't know when he'll calm down. On the other side, if I kept talking and trying to resolve it, he'll just go further away.

I think we should always talk it out, but I just feel like we can't really go middle ways as we don't know how to middle ground it.

Anyone with the same problems?

Its a 8-page thing. I dont know if i can give the link (its not an open link but if anyone have nothing better to do I can give out the article personally), but if anyone have read this, can you help me- what are the two economies?

The english is very deep and I have a hard time understanding it. I've read it 3 times and I'm still confused.

bought: January 2011

It has been happening for a while now, and I think it has something to do with video card/graphic card

My macbook just kept getting hung and it turns to black screen, automatically stopping everything (kinda of went unresponsive) and to solve it is just restarting it all over again using the power button.

I noticed that I can't play certain games because it will always crash at the same time/place

I tried:

sims 1: it works FINE no probs whatsoever

sims 2: crashes a few seconds after I load the neighborhood (i just installed this)

sims 3: it just does.

GTA San Andreas: 2 secs after loading from save point

big fish games: Hotel Dash 2: after loading from save point

Zuma 1&2: same thing

Playing tetris on facebook via safari. (it does it less than other stuff, but it does)

Other applications that are affected:

iPhoto: when zoomed and using blemish tool

adobe photoshop: it just does it

youtube: when on fullscreen, big chance of happening.

(sometimes, when I close the mac lid and then leave it, then I open my mac, and go straight to youtube, mac will go black as well, but strangely doesn't do it too often if I leave it for a while, then go to youtube.)

skype: video calls. some rare times, even normal voice calls.

Front Row application

iTunes: visual effects (those colorful things that syncs with your beat and is pretty looking)

Also happens if I use the hot corners on the mac to select different applications (the thing where you move your cursor to the corners and then your opened windows are shown in smaller sizes) (or F3 button)

sometimes, if i move around too fast to switch applications and widgets etc, it happens as well.

PLEASE HELP :(

ps: as I was typing this, it restarted itself again and I didn't even open anything that would have caused it.

I'm in Pasadena City College and I have to apply to places soon for Fall 2013.

I just wanted to know at least the 10 colleges I must apply to other than CSULB because that's my first choice.

I want to minor in sound design, but seeing that it is really hard to be that specific, I'm looking at just a music minor.

Any uni's at all? Best if I could just stay in the LA/South Cal area.

Right now, I'm thinking about CSULB and CSUF, maybe San Jose State U.

Other than that, all I can think of is SCAD, but that's in Georgia and it's private.

I don't mind if anyone list any good private universities or out-of-state, doesn't hurt to check out, just need to be sure if any one of them allow me to take music minors as well.

Also, if possible, can you please put any references?

title says it. Vizio launched the new laptop and I wanted to know if they have any stores that sell it. Went to bestbuy, Office Depot, Staples, Costco, all those don't have the new Vizio.

So yeah. that little feeling that maybe "it's not so bad after all" when you decided to leave something after a while, even though you hate it- what is it called? or at least give me a shorter term so I can search it up on google.

There's a game that I used to play in the Day of Tentacles (DOS game) era. I played it in an english course named EF (English First) and they used to have old macs. They have this one game that I'm trying so hard to look for. This is as far as I can remember:

-The game is a first person

-You are a man

-It's a bit like mystery/detective

-At the beginning of the game, you receive a train ticket from a locket. Like old times.

-I think you carry a briefcase.

-It's like a simulation thing- you move around by buttons: "pick up" or "open" or something like that. just like old games.

- I just couldn't remember the rest of the game. After a while, the course I went to changed games to Pizza Frenzy, Insaniquarium, etc. I want the old games back!

Any clues. Pleassseeeee!!! D: Any clues would help! If you know the game please tell meeee!

I like the old Nintendo DS better..the one with gameboy cartridge on the bottom. NDS lite. I hated the fact that they took it out on the newer versions... and I absolutely dislike the 3DS for some reason. It bugs my eye. Also because I can play my gameboy cartridge on the old ones. :D

Like my question...

Are there any new games unplayable without the newer versions of NDS?

Say if I were to get the newest version of Mario Bros or something like that (I don't keep myself updated)... will they require cameras and the new technical things? Are there any incompatibilities?

also...vice versa. Are there old games that are not compatible with the new version of NDS?

I've been seeing this guy for months now and I wanna do something for Valentine's day. I was looking for something awesome for him without being too corny and lovey-ish, because we're simply not there yet. Most of the ideas on the internet are too cheesy or not zombies or meant to say "I love you" and that's not what I'm looking for.

So he loves zombies.

I gave him a zombie painting of him so it's like a self-portrait of him being a zombie on Halloween.

Then on xmas and new year I got him a lot of other stuff and one of them being a zombie T-shirt.

On Valentine's day I don't know what to really give him since there really are not a lot of people combining monsters with valentine...

So what do you guys think? I'm definitely gonna do something else, so..

does anyone know anywhere in LA area (near/in Pasadena is better) that I can spend valentine's day on decent budget? I'm looking like max $100... any ideas? I thought of Melting Pot in Pasadena, it's $65 for 4 gourmet course each person but it has super varieties of food... though I think I could come up with a better and on budget places.

I think I had some minor, small heart problems in my family tree, but I'm not really sure what it is.

Once I was joining a gym and before that they took my heart rate beat per minute (bpm) and it's about 110-120 bpm. When I run, it's 160-180. ....I always thought it's normal, coz I think our maximum heart rate can go to 200-ish bpm if I am 18.

I just counted again yesterday and it was around 126 bpm. I did that because I felt a slight uneasiness on my chest. I was just sitting in front of the computer, just surfing the web.

I just counted again, I'm in front of a lecture with my laptop now, and it's about 96 bpm.

a few of my friends suggested me to check.

Is it weird or is something wrong?

PS: if we are anxious about something or nervous, does it increase?
