  • Children answering the parenting questions...?

Surely only parents should be answering the parenting questions as they are the ones that have been or are parents...?

There seem to be a lot of children, teens, and non parents answering these questions when surely the people asking the questions would like advise from other parents?

    Or maybe they don't..?

What do people think of this.?

  • Horsefield not eating. Living in Tenerife?

We have a Horsefield tortiose and have had her/ him for 2 years now, we were told she/he was 3 years old when we got her/him.

It lives outside in a big enclosure with lots of earth to dig, a big water bowl to drink and bathe and lots of pots and rocks to her to climb on and under.

But this year starting last month she has only been eating tiny bits of food and that is only when we find her as she buries herself for most of the day now, and we bathe her in warm water.

We feed her dandylion leaves and flowers, hibiscus flowers and pellets soaked in water.

She was moved for a few days into the house as we had bad storms last month, so first I thought that was why she wasn't eating... But she is still only eating bits of hand fed food and hiding all day... I don't want her to hibernate as she is only young and we live in a very warm climate all year long...(at the moment the temps are approx. 25c in the day and around 16c at night) only at the moment it is cooler than the rest of the year... Should I bring her inside and get a heat lamp for her? I would rather leave her outside as then she can still get the uv from the sun but starting to get worried about her not eating... any help or any ideas tortoise keepers..??

I first posted this in the wrong section and got a few people telling me that I am cruel to stop her hibernating, but I have been told on many sites that I do not need to hibernate her living here?

    Thanks for any help.

  • found a hard lump on my dogs hip today any ideas what would cause this?

He's a medium sized 11 yr old mixed breed dog. The lump is about golf ball size. He doesn't want me to touch it as it seems to hurt him. Just been on a diet as seemed to be having trouble with arthritis. He's now lost all the weight he needs to but I've just noticed the very hard lump on his hip bone....We will be taking him to the vets tomorrow but wondered if anyone could give me any help? Thank you.

  • Is it wrong for me to become a God Mother when I am Agnostic?

My good friend has asked my husband and I to be God Parents. We both feel very honoured to have been asked. She knows my veiws on religion but has still asked us. Would we be wrong to accept? Will the church let us be God Parents? We were both christened when we were babies but our daughter is not.

  • How do I cut the branches of my christmas tree to make it more cemetrical??

My Christmas tree was all wrapped up when we bought it so we couldn't tell what it looked like, we just go for the fattest one usually, but this one is very scrawny and very uncemetrical....lol... Could I trim the branches on it to make it more cemetrical ? Or would it make the tree die quicker or look strange without the bud bits on the end? What's everyoone's opinion?
