Working on building a computer with the purpose of being a "retro Gaming Machine". no GPU, just 4GB of DDR4 Ram, a pentium G4400, an MSI H110 Micro ATX motherboard.

While ive built around 5 computers, this is my first build in a micro ATX. Everything seems fine, hard drive is spinning and working, psu is powering other things, motherboard seems to be taking power, and leads me to believe isnt fried, so im at a loss. Is the CPU Dead? Or is it the fan? Is there something i can check with? Should i just return the CPU and fan as a whole? Are there tests i can do to make sure all the parts are running indivdually? The EZ Debug Feature which has helped me many times is lighting up a constant CPU. Much Thanks!

Is there any way i can run an hdmi into my computer and use it to view the hdmi output? is there a device i need (USB to hdmi) and is there any delay?

I have an old dell optiplex 745, intew

l core 2 duo 6300 1.86GHz, and am wondering if i can add a low profile R7240 like done in this video (timestamp 5:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3XkG6GL_DM) to it? It has a 280w PSU (which i know is small, but it cant be upgraded in that specific model due to the size of the PSU. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

so i recently bought a steam link, at seems very buggy. I have a very fast internet (100 up&down) and my steam lnk is connected to the same switch as my desktop (GTX 1070, i5 6600k OC to 4.5GHz, 16GB Ram)

My problem is, it cant stream big games like GTA or doom, and even struggles with some older AAA titles, like far cry, and it even struggles with astroneer. It gives me around 60FPS for 30 seconds, then starts freezing, and (or) gives me like 1 second controller lag (which doesnt sound like a lot, but trust me, it is. So is it my faulty steam link? does my computer not meet hardware? is my wifi not strong enough (Also, like i said, im using ethernet, which adds to my confusion) or whats the problem? Please leave your thoughts and check back, if you have any questions i will answer them ASAP. Thanks in advance for your help, sincerely, ~venevicus~

This was my second time being banned (For a nonsensical reason, but cant contact rockstar) but im OK with that. Im find just playing story mode. My only question, is when GTA 6 comes it on 2, 3, or 4 years, will i be able to buy and play it online? Could i buy Red Dead 2 and play online when it comes out? Or am i banned from all rockstar online services. Thanks in advance, regards, chris

This is my current build, and its a really good build in my opinion. I dont want to change the motherboard, processor, or graphics card, but im up to change coolers, peripherals, etc. Let me know what you think i should change/upgrade.

If i put a GPU in a computer with not enough power (from the psu) will the card not function, or not function to its full capabilities. Also, would this damage the computer or any components? Thanks.

I know its not the best idea to put cards in old comptuers, but all i want to know is will the GeForce 8400 GS DDR3 work in a Dell Optiplex 745.

Have 200$, wanna buy a cheap computer that can play things like COD and maybe CSGO, dont care how nice it looks, just wondering what i can get. I can custom build, so a pcpartpicker list would be appreciated.

Not everything has to be new, although i would like to purchase them wholesale or through amazon (not craigslist etc), and looking for something that could play CSGO or minecraft at around 720p high or 1080p low. Budget is probably around 250$, but the lower, the better. something closer to 150$ would be even better, even if it means sacraficing power.
