Is there somewhere to invest where the broker only gets paid if you make money?
I invested $60,000 with a reputable broker. Between the fees they have charged and the market going down, I am down about $1,000. Why should they get paid if I've made no money?
8 AnswersInvesting6 years agoDeath Penalty Case?
In Ohio if there is a death penalty case, the jury is deadlocked and left for the judge to decide, is the death penalty automatically taken off the table?
Check it out. Belmont County, Ohio, 92 year old woman. A man broke into her house, broke her skull in 2 places, broke her jaw, she was raped, killed, robbed. The guy was found guilty of all but the rape. At the end of the month they try the other man involved. I'm sure he will be found guilty of the rape.

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoI really want my boyfriend to be my partner in my business. When we first met, I had been trying to get?
a divorce for the past year and nine months. My ex was doing everything to destroy the marital estate. Looking back now, a year and seven months later, I think I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
My Quick Books had crashed and I was bouncing checks because I didn't know how much was in the account. He took two weekends, all day and evening, piecing them back together. After we had been together for about a year, he asked if we could put something in writing making him a partner in the business.
He actually was the brains behind my divorce. My ex had been bullying me, trying to destroy everything, and my bf put him in his place through the legal system. It was amazing to watch. Long story short, I told him that the business was barely supporting myself, let alone both of us. In hindsight, I was fearful that we'd break up and I'd have to be partners with him and watch him if he fell for another woman.
I feel so selfish now, after all he's done for me. Heck, I don't think I'd have a business if he hadn't have helped me get my focus again. I've been apologizing for months and have asked him repeatedly to be my partner and we could grow it together. His feelings are really hurt because of all he's done for me. I don't blame him, but I don't know how to convince him that I truly love him and want him as a partner.
Then, if he hadn't done enough for me already, my ex let our restaurant go into foreclosure to the tune of over 400,000, and the 700,000 farm was used as collateral for it. The bank was going to take everything. My boyfriend insisted on loaning me 339,000 to pay off the restaurant loan so that I wouldn't lose everything. I've never borrowed anything from anyone. I feel like such an *** and I don't know how to make it up to him.
Thank you in advance for your constructive input.

I'd like my boyfriend to be able to view the pictures from the house. I know Wildgame has one, but it only goes 300 feet. We need for it to go about 500 feet, and I wasn't looking to pay a monthly satellite fee. Thanks for your help.
1 AnswerCameras8 years agoPA's 2 year stay married requirement after divorce filing?
After moving to PA from CA, our marriage went south. In PA there is a 2 year waiting period after separation before the court will even begin to hear your divorce case if one person contests the divorce. I was finally granted my divorce after 2 and a half years, but my ex refuses to obey the court's order on the division of property. It has been over 3 years, and after he has totally tried to destroy the marital estate, it's still dragging on. After speaking to other people, I've heard, "Oh, yeah, so and so has been going through their divorce for 10 years!"
Are there any other states that have bizarre laws regarding this or any other issue that anyone knows of?
1 AnswerMarriage & Divorce9 years agoWhen I try to go to a specific website, my computer is taking me to lots of different places than what I typed?
I installed Norton and thought that would help. Then when I'm in my Yahoo mail or Facebook, my computer says "Internet Explorer has stopped working" and then restarts itself. Anyone else have this problem?
2 AnswersProgramming & Design9 years agoFinal Divorce Papers?
I decided to end a long marriage in September 2009. That's when we separated and papers were served on my ex. He refuses to sign the papers. See, one of the reasons I left was because for the past 10 years he has only tried for minimal jobs. We relocated from CA to PA. I think he came here to retire and I was the last to know.
Anyway, in PA if one spouse won't sign the divorce papers, PA law makes it linger for 2 years. If 2 years have passed, then a Master goes in and makes the divorce final ... which leads to my question.
At a meeting among the 4 of us ... he and I, and our attorneys ... I asked the question: I want to start dating now. Is it legally ok for me to date even though the divorce isn't final? They both answered yes, that it is.
I have found a man I'd like to date. We've hit it off on all levels. We both enjoy running in marathons, hiking, just to name a couple of things. However, he joined a support group from a church about marriage, divorce and separation, and it seems that it's the elders' opinion from the church that it would be immoral for him to date me since the divorce isn't final. The opinions from the general group were varied.
So my question is: In your opinion in my case, where I'm trapped until Sept. of 2011, is it immoral to date?
Thank you for your thoughts
7 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoAsked my husband to leave, now he's depressed?
We moved from CA to PA 8 years ago. We're near his family -- aunts, uncles, cousins. My parents died. We have two kids, 21 and 19 who are in college and live at home. I have not been able to get him to get a job since we got here. I work full time. I've paid for the kids' college tuition, his credit card bills and all of the household bills. I have continually asked him to get a job. He has, but it's not enough to even pay his own credit card debt.
I asked him to leave. Now that he's moved out -- which I pay for, too -- I feel guilty because I am so much happier. Now he is on anti-depressants and in counseling. Do you think he's really depressed? The timing of this depression has come to light after I asked him to leave. He's talking suicide and has even mentioned ending it all to the kids. All he can talk about is getting back together. I've told him it isn't happening. I'm not sure what to do with him. I know I'll have to pay alimony and he'll get half of my business. I'm so frustrated.
11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoIpod/I-Tunes question?
Help, I-Tunes kept prompting me to update. I did, now I can't get into it. It is saying it lost some of the files and to re-install the software.
Here's the question: If I re-install the software, is it only going to install the files it's missing and I'll still have all of my songs, or am I going to lose all of my songs? The songs are still on my Ipod. I'm worried that when I plug my Ipod into the new I-Tunes it will erase all of my songs.
Thank you in advance for your help.
4 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoMy 17 year old confides in me. She is making some terrible choices now.?
3 weeks ago she was charged with undeage drinking. She thinks pot is a way for her to escape the pressures of school. She has recently slept with at least 8 guys. She now wants to try acid. When she came home last Saturday night with puke all over her and her eyes dilated, I wasn't sure what she was on. I called the boy who supplied the pot and alcohol to her to inform the parents what he did. She is really mad now because I called his parents, so mad that she moved out with 2 guys, ages 21 and 22, who she worked with. She thinks these 2 guys are her best friends. 1 of them sells pot. I am very worried about her. We have always been extremely close until now. Did I do the right thing in calling his parents? This thing has really run into the ditch. I can't think of anything but getting her home. She left the 2007 Subaru we bought her, her cell phone and left with no money. These idiots are giving her a ride to and from school now, too. Thanks for any thought
