Exchange studies in Monterrey Spring Term 2012, location tips?
I'm going on exchange studies at Tec de Monterrey for the spring term in 2012 and with the travel date closing I would like some tips on what you can do in Monterrey, points of interests, good restaurants etc.
2 AnswersMonterrey10 years agoRewrite: -exp(2x)/(1+exp(x)) to -exp(x)+exp(x)/(exp(x)+1) ?
Would like to see the steps in between.
-exp(2x)/(1+exp(x)) written to -exp(x)+exp(x)/(1+exp(x))

1 AnswerDrawing & Illustration1 decade agoSolving 2nd order differential equation in MATLAB?
I have the following equation:
d2X/dt^2=-c1*dX/dt-c2*X+c3*sin(c4*t)
Where c(1-4) are constants.
I'm having problem entering the equation in my function m-file as don't know how to do it with dX/dt and X as well as with the function sin(t).
Main problem is then how will I get MATLAB to understand that dX/dt = D(X)
And that sin(t) is a function of time (no time vector inside function as I will use it in Ode45).
Should I try and break up the equation in some way or can i enter it as whole?
I hope you get my questions :)
Thanks in advanced!
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoHow do I implement a pie chart in a MatLab GUI?
We're doing a program for deciphering text's.
We need to do a pie chart of the 10 most common letters in the text we are deciphering.
Problem is we can't find a guide or way to enter a pie chart into the actual GUI.
How do we do that?
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoWhat font does this logo use?
Pic: http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t269/Firefox_vm...
The letters forming EcoTek-1P is the font I am looking for.
Tried using Identfont.com but I didn't find any remotely looking like it.
I think it is a standard font that is hiding from me in Windows.

1 AnswerOther - Visual Arts1 decade agoWhat note is each tube on my 12-pan flute? (A to E range)?
I am a former drummer trying to learn a new instrument that plays actual notes.
So I decided to try and learn pan flutes, however as I know nothing about notes I am having difficulties to learn my new instrument.
So I wonder what note or tune (dunno the term) each of the tubes has.
I haven't found it on the internet nor in books only thing I know is that it is tuned in A to E range.

2 AnswersComics & Animation1 decade agoConfused with the reaction beetween CaCl2 and NaHCO3?
We have done this lab in our school: http://www.pcds.org/share/sci8/labs/chemrx.htm
This is the reaction I am guessing on right now because during the lab CO2 was formed.
CaCl2 + 2NaHCO3 = CaCO3 + H2O + NaCl + CO2
1) Why do I have 2NaHCO3 when I take the double amount of CaCl2 as NaHCO3
2) We had phenol red in the solution and it turned yellow and foamy when those two reacted, is it an acidly reaction?
3) Why does CaCl2 and PhenolRed together yields heat?
4) After the reaction I filered the solution and found that the NaCl went through the filter and reacted with AgNO3 and formed AgCl and NaNO3.
Is it posible that NaCl can go through the filter?
5) To the "foam" that was left in the filter I added HCl and it fizzed abit. I've heard that CaCO3 does that when it reacts with HCl but what really happens?
