What note is each tube on my 12-pan flute? (A to E range)?
I am a former drummer trying to learn a new instrument that plays actual notes.
So I decided to try and learn pan flutes, however as I know nothing about notes I am having difficulties to learn my new instrument.
So I wonder what note or tune (dunno the term) each of the tubes has.
I haven't found it on the internet nor in books only thing I know is that it is tuned in A to E range.
Might add additional info on this.
It is a Schwarz R12, maybe that can tell anything about what type it is.
The pipes leangth are longest to shortest:
21, 19, 17, 15.5, 14,5, 13.3, 12.2, 9.9, 9.0, 8.1, 7.3
All in centimetres.

it depends on the scale of the flute.
Pan flutes are most often major scale so an A-E flute would be A B C# D E F# G# A B C# D E if the scale is A major. This would be the common "12-note diatonic scale A-E" flute. A major is also F# minor.
Or, A B C# D# E F# G# A B C# D# E if the scale is E major. It's possible but less likely.
But, it could be a minor scale, modal, or pentatonic. If it's not professionally tuned, it could be about anything.
The best way is to check it is against a piano or a computer generated tuner using the A major scale as a starting point.

Well, I don't know if this helps, but on a piano e sharp is the same note as F.
