  • Cat Dilemma! He won't Stop Peeing Everywhere!!?

I just got this male cat, he was a stray for his whole life as far as I know. He was neutered just over a month ago, and he really needed a stable home so I took him in from someone who rescued him. He's an amazing cat, so affectionate and I've had him since Christmas.

We wanted to see how he would work out, and it turns out he likes to pee anywhere he pleases! He will mostly pee in the litter box, as long as it's clean, but if its too dirty or he just decides he wants to pee elsewhere, he will. He has peed on the dog bed once, and tried again but got caught. He likes to pee on blankets, or in a cluttered area of the house. Sometimes just in the open.

I thought maybe its either because he drinks A LOT of water, or he is still getting the testosterone out of his system? He has been recently vetted, and the only thing the vet said was that he drinks lots of water because of his high metabolism. Which to me is awesome because he's healthy and drinks more than an average cat. He is NOT spraying, he just squats and pees a massive puddle.

What could be the issue? It's not health related. We are debating getting rid of him but I am so attached now that I just can't part with him and he needs a stable home more than anything. I'm thinking he still should see a vet again, but for now please! Suggestions!

  • Best Shampoo Brand To Prevent Red Color Fade?

I'm going a reddish brown Friday. It's not going to be like a fiery red, but I still want a good quality shampoo that will slow down color fade. What is a good SALON QUALITY shampoo? I don't want something from the drugstore that isn't going to work. Thanks!

  • Should I Tint My Eyebrows?

I want to dye my hair reddish brown. It's a very pretty color and the picture I have shows the girl with her eyebrows tinted the same color. It looks very nice but I was warned about tinting eyebrows.. Because when they fade out or grow out it looks very bad. How can I prevent this if I want my eyebrows to go back to my natural color, or I decide the dye looks bad in them and I want to fade it faster to get rid of it? Could I just use a color stripper to remove it somewhat?

  • Hair Dye Question? Box Dye or Salon Dye?

I have bleached hair, and was told by my hair dresser that a good way to restore the damage from it is to dye it a color with red pigments in it, cause it helps restore it somehow. I am done bleaching my hair and my roots are starting to get very long and very ugly, so I wanted to dye my hair reddish brown at a salon because the dye is apparently better. But it's so expensive and a box dye is obviously a simple solution, but I was told that in box dyes don't stay in your hair very well. Is it really worth it to pay 100 dollars to get my hair dyed by a salon?

  • Question About Dogs and Anal Glands?

I worked at a pet health store, so I was fed a bunch of information about what is healthy for your dog and what isn't. Then I found out that a vet will tell you opposite. I learned that you should feed your dog foods with no corn because its a filler and makes them fat. Which I believe because I've seen that, and I bought more expensive food with less grains and no fillers like corn and my dog doesn't eat as much because they get full faster, and they don't put on too much weight.

I also was told that these more expensive foods (ex-boka or satori) will give the dog a lot softer of a stool, which is better for the animal. When dogs eat cheaper foods the stool is harder and not good for them apperantly. I just got a pitbull and I noticed that he's really gassy, like more than he should be. I thought maybe he was just a typical dog, but this isn't right. I also noticed he will drag his butt across the floor sometimes.

I noticed also he breath got very bad, like he opened his mouth once and I was sitting decently far away from him and this wave of horrible stench hit me. So I googled it and found out he needs his glands expressed because its uncomfortable, and he's licking that area to try to get relief, which I notice he does. I read the cause is that when you feed cheaper foods this will happen. I feed him boka, which is a higher quality good. But it also makes him produce softer stools, which I read is the reason why their glands get blocked or whatever.

So with all that being said (sorry for the length), is feeding my dog this food that is apperantly better, but making his stool softer the cause of this? I also read that once a dog needs it's glands expressed, you have to continue doing it. I am going to talk to a vet obviously but what do you know about this situation? Thanks :)

  • Where Can I Buy Decently Priced THICK Hair Extensions?

Okay, so I bought hair extensions from sally's beauty supply. They were very disappointing because they were thin. I have thick hair to begin with, and I think that having thick hair extensions makes them look more real and they blend better. I am scared to buy hair extensions online, because when they say that they are thick, it's probably a lie and I am going to pay for hair that is like the ones at Sally's. Is there actually any website online that says ACTUALLY THICK hair extensions? I also was told someone bought theirs online and they were waay shorter than what they said they would be. They are pretty cheap online, so it makes me skeptical. If there isn't really anywhere, I am just going to my hair dresser and buying some from them. I know I am going to pay up to $300. Is there any good websites out there?

  • How Bad is Hair Dye for Your Hair?

I have bleached hair. It's breaking a lot, and I am letting it grow and never bleaching it again. My roots are dark, and I realized when I have kept my hair dyed in the past, not bleached, it actually grew. Once I did 1 set of highlights, it ruined it :( Soo, if I dye it a darker color (auburn is what I am thinking), and keep up with lots of good treatments, is it really that damaging? I will never put bleach again, and I will keep up with regular trims as well. If anyone is a hairdresser to answer this that would be awesome! Also, how well do those shamppos work to keep color from fading if I bought a salon brand?

  • Hair Coloring Question? Is this too damaging?

I have had bleached hair for a year now. I am so sick of it. I'm tired of getting dark roots every 3 weeks and having to tone it or it goes ugly yellow. Plus my hair can't grow because it's breaking so badly. I have Ion reconstructor, and I know a lot of other treatments like olive oil work well. So I treat it with this but I know nothing is better for my hair than just leaving it alone and letting it grow, along with a cut every couple months. But I NEED to get rid of this color of ugly roots and yellow. The only way I can do this is to dye it a darker color. I've had darker hair before and with roots it doesn't even matter to me so I know it's a solution. If I give my hair intensive treatments like protein treatments and stuff like that every week, or even every couple of days, do you think dying it would hurt it really bad? I would get a trim as well.

  • Bleached Hair- Trying to Grow Hair Out?

I have had bleach blonde hair for a year. I absolutely love it but it's not worth my hair breaking the way it is. I don't care what anyone says or suggests, there is no hair treatment that will repair my hair or get it to stop breaking so much. I've tried. So I am growing it out. I don't want to dye I again.. but its so ugly now that I've stopped toning it and my roots are so dark. Could I add some low lights or what would you suggest? I know dying it dark would solve the problem, but I don't want dark hair. I want as little dye as possible in it!

  • Thoughts On A Bullmastiff Dog As a Pet?

I might be getting a bullmastiff soon, and I am just wondering, are they a good type of dog to have? I had a pitbull in the past, along with MANY other breeds so please don't start saying I don't know how to care for a dog or whatever.. :P Anyway, I was reading about them and I read that they are guard dogs, protective, and need to have a strong leader. That is all fine I am experienced with that, but are they an intelligent dog or are they difficult to train? Also, please don't copy and paste something off google because I read it all. I want your opinion if you know about them at all? Thanks :)

  • Hair Color Dilemma- Can't Decide on a Color?

I have a problem with my hair color and deciding! It is bleach blonde right now. It will NOT grow because it keeps breaking. So I want to make it some other color and leave it so it can just grow and I will leave it alone and stop damaging it. But I LOVE my blonde hair and I refuse to part with it :( My roots are very dark, so I thought I could put in some darker blonde or light blonde highlights. I also want some red in my hair. But that would mean that my hair wouldn't be blonde anymore. Like the light blonde that I want. Any suggestions? How do girls have nice pretty long hair when it's obviously bleached blonde?! I have extensions but I have always wanted long hair that was mine. I have never been able to achieve it. My hair has grown best when it was dyed black because I never touched it and it just grew. What do I do?

  • How Much Does Drinking Affect Weight Loss?

I am eating really healthy and jogging and so far I am down 13 pounds :) I like to drink and have a good time sometimes, as lots of people do, and I am wondering how much alcohol affects weight loss? I read that it just slows down your fat burning ability a lot, and you don't really gain much fat at all from the alcohol (5% only), you gain from the food you consume. So say I were to consume alcohol 2 nights in a row, cause that sometimes happens... and say I ate really healthy (nothing fattening and just really light meals), would this make me gain a lot? I am not saying I am going to do this, I just like to have an idea of how much it really affects it!

  • Really Bad Heartburn?

I have never had heartburn in my life. There were some spicy leftovers in the fridge and I ate them for lunch yesterday, then went for my run. I came back and my stomach was sore, then it was burning for the rest of the day. I realized it was probably because I ran on a full stomach and it was spicy food. But spicy food has never bothered me before. It took me three hours to fall asleep, and this morning it's still there :( Not as a bad, but enough to be really inconvenient. I tried milk and tums, both didn't work. Why is it so bad when I have never had it before? What medicine works best to relieve it?

  • Workout Question? Is This Enough?

I started going for a 30 minute run last Tuesday. My goal is to go Monday-Friday and I will probably go some Saturdays and Sundays, depending on my mood :P But I want to do no less than 5 times a week. I am extending it to 40 minutes next week. So if I worked out say 40 minutes for 5 days a week, and sometimes more, is this enough for a pretty steady weight loss? I also do strength training when I get back (just push ups, sit ups, leg lifts, etc.). I am also on weight watchers so I have changed the way I eat like completely. (No sugar or desserts, whole grains ONLY, tonnes of fruits and veggies, low fat-no fat dairy). Does this sound like a good enough workout plan? Thanks :)

  • Drinking Beer While Trying To Lose Weight?

Does drinking like.. 4 beer a week or less (drink once every two weeks) really affect your weight loss if you work out everyday and eat really healthy like I do? I started weight watchers monday.. and I had 4 beer tonight. I worked out today (jogging for 30 min) and I plan to work out even harder tomorrow. I am going to try push to an hour. Will this affect much?

  • Weight Watchers Question?

I just joined weight watchers and I have already lost some weight. I am working out everyday, and I am eating a lot better. But I HATE keeping track of my points. I can't stand it. I hate that I have to put a ton of thought into my sandwich, and that alone is making me want to quit. Not quit my weight loss journey, because nothing can stop me now. But I want to quit using the program and just buy one of their cookbooks. Do you think this would be effective? I love skimming through a cook book because it's what I've always done. I hate looking up recipes and I don't want to plan a meal plan for a week ahead. So if I just bought a weight watchers cookbook and cooked what's in there, and stayed away from unhealthy foods, do you think I can just do it on my own? I already am familiar with how I have to eat everyday from using this program. I just feel almost trapped because I have to track all my foods. Help? Lots of people have done it on their own without a program. So any advice here? :) Any tips are appreciated as well :D

  • Drinking Alcohol While Trying to Lose Weight?

I am starting a lifestyle change and I am going to drop like.. 50 pounds. I am going to be joining weight watchers to help me along. I was wondering, does drinking once a week really affect losing weight? When I do, it's not like 1 or 2 drinks.. it's usually a night of partying.. would this affect it a lot if the other 6 days of the week I am working out lots and never cheating or eating bad? I hear that it does and I've heard that it doesn't affect it. Personal experiences? Please help!

  • Weight Watchers? Have You Tried It?

I am seeing that I need some sort of support and eating guide to actually lose weight. Otherwise I'm going to make unhealthy choices and have no motivation. Does it work? How fast do you see results?

  • Low Fat Recipes For Dinner + Weightloss Tips? :)?

I am on the journey to lose weight.. which means I am struggling to get used to cooking and eating a lot less fat and sodium. Snacks and lunch are easy, but when I'm cooking for 2, I need to consider what they want.

Any good recipes or hints or tips to cook lighter side dishes? I absolutely love pasta, and I plan to eat whole grain noodles only. But I can't eat this every night.. What are good substitutions or other side dish ideas that are good for losing weight? My boyfriend LOVES potatoes.. what do I do about that? How often can I eat this stuff without worrying about too much fat intake? How often can I have a cheat day, and how much is too much on a cheat day? I am going to buy a few healthy cook books as well.

Also, eating better seems impossible right now because I am counting my calories and I feel like I am just going to give up again. Does it get easier to eat better and get into healthier habits once your more used to doing it? Or does it always feel so..complicated and like a pain.. Also, when I eat a healthier meal, what do I do if I still feel hungry but I don't want to consume any more calories? Once it's a little later in the season, I plan to be outside most of the day keeping busy :) But for the next couple of weeks, what can I do to feel more full?

I only am eating whole grains, tonnes of fruit and veggies, lean meats, low fat-no fat minimal dairy, and lots of water. No refined sugars and little salt.

I kind of rambled.. so here are my questions :)

What are some good recipes, or hints/tips to cook lighter side dishes?

How often can I have a cheat day, and how much is too much on a cheat day?

Good side dishes that are FILLING like potatoes or pasta?

Does it get easier to eat healthier and get into a better habits as you keep trying? Or does it always seem so complicated.

What can I do to feel more full during the day?

  • Help me with my plan to lose weight? :)?

Okay. I have finally said enough is enough. I'm buckling down and I'm gonna do it. I have stepped on the scale after years of being too afraid too. The number was waay lower than I thought, but still I need to drop a good 50 pounds to my goal weight :) I am 5'8, just over 200 and female.. Yeah, it's gross. Anyway, I have been on this cabbage soup diet for 3 days now. I have lost 2 inches around my waist already! I understand that it's probably mostly water weight and I also know that if I want to keep the weight off that I lose, I need to change my lifestyle. Which I FULLY intend to do when I am done it. I know I can't go back to eating how I was. I know that you gain it back faster than you lost it. I know what it takes, what I have to eat and how much exercise I need to do in a day. I have cut junk out completely. I will have the odd cheat day so I don't lose my will power of course. But this isn't often.

I am really serious about losing this weight this summer. I wanna do it on my own, I am not paying for a gym or personal trainer. I can do exercise at home. I know people who have done it themselves with complete success. But I have been reading about weight watchers and it looks so tempting.. It just costs so much per month. Do you think I should either just buy some healthy eating low fat cook books and stick to those? I was planning on getting the weight watchers ones. Or should I actually spend the money on weight watchers each month or another plan that you KNOW works. Not what you've read online.

I am not asking for a diet plan like pre set meals everyday because I won't stick to that. I just want to know if paying each month for a plan like weight watchers is actually worth it. My head is in it and I'm ready to do it. I am only doing this soup diet to pretty much cleanse out my body (which I found out is pretty much the reason why people have such a hard time losing weight. Their liver isn't cleansed!) After the soup diet, I am going to eat nothing but lean meats, whole grains, tonnes of fruit and veggies, low fat-no fat dairy (not much of it) and also limit my pasta and bread intake. Also, lots of exercise! :)

So do you have any extra advice? Should I spend my money on weight watchers if it ACTUALLY works? Thank you for any help. I need some inspiration to get to my goal.. please help :D
