"Dreaming of a Cake"?
I have a business associate in South Korea that I often exchange e-mails with. I use and online translator that generally works pretty well, but he always signs his e-mails in a phrase that translates as "dreaming of a cake" --- any idea what this actually means?
1 AnswerLanguages4 years agoWhat basic manufacturing operational principles make a manufacturing company successful?
I have been tasked with developing a strategy for how to train people at our manufacturing company on "basic" manufacturing principles. We find that a lot of people join our organization and lack the fundamental knowledge of what it takes to continually safely manufacture quality products, on time (with excellence).
Simple things like "the safety of your neighbor is YOUR responsibility" or "if you see a problem, fix/report that problem" or "drive quality control at the source of manufacture" are fundamental principles that we seem to take for granted after many years in the industry, but those lessons are also learned by screwing those principles up (and that hurts!).
so what is on your list? what operational principles are key to running a successful manufacturing operation?
Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance5 years agoDwayne Bowe or Denarius Moore for rest of season standard league?
Dwayne Bowe has been doing horribly in fantasy football and got dropped by another team in my league. Do i drop Denarius Moore (who finally had a good week 3) and pick him up? I know he is poorly projected in week 4, but i don't need him yet...
3 AnswersFantasy Sports8 years agoare there any drawbacks to raising water pressure on a well?
Currently I am running my house at 30-50 and am a bit frustrated with my water flow when it is down at 30. Thinking of raising my pressure to 40-60. I read in one place online that it may cause my tub / shower / sinks to leak faster. is this true? Is 60 pretty standard in residential plumbing? how does that compare to most 'city water' pressure?
Also, what is the advantage of running a higher pressure differential? just electricity cost? Pump life? what kind of scale are we talking (10% savings, 50%, etc)?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoLowery TBO organ doesn't turn on - any idea why?
My grandma has on old organ from the 60's. A couple of years ago it got really quiet, now it doesn't turn on at all. she thinks my kids left it on and "burned out the motor"
I have no idea where to even start looking for a solution.
Does anyone work on these things any more?
Is it worth fixing?
