fluffy the wonderdog
I have been gardening all my life. I lean towards organic methods of gardening but am not a purist. I am interested in wildflowers and native species. I design to encourage bees, butterflies and birds. I can't stand moles but i really am impressed by how they can tear through soil in a garden. I currently am the landscape gardener at a golf course and I love my job. Prior to this I managed a family fun center, was a video/arcade game technician, grew plants at a wholesale greenhouse, was the greenhouse manager 4ever at a large retail florist/grower. I enjoy being outside, love color, enjoy working with stained glass, fabric, paint, wood, rocks... I am crafty, arty and mechanically inclined, and enjoy solving problems and puzzles. Oh, and yeah, I do have a B.S. in agriculture, am a licensed/certified pesticide applicator, have been growing orchids for over 30 years.
Why do golfers lick their balls?
i work at a golf course and while working i see golfers pick up their balls and lick them before they putt sometimes... yuck ...

4 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoMigraines !?!?
ok- I read a lot of questions on here that the people are saying that they suffer from migraines
and lots of answers form people giving their opinions and experiences with migraines.
I know what they are,
I get them.
WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS:::::
when you say you get migraines
can you describe the symptoms of your migraine
and how quickly you can identify that it is actually a migraine that you are having?
I don't need a 'clinical definition'
I want to hear from the people who are having them-----or used to have them.
Thanks, fluffy

4 AnswersCommunity Service1 decade agoMy Hellebores are blooming here and I want to increase my collection, any suggestions?
I collected the seed from a couple of varieties last year with minimal success. I am in 6B.
I am looking for cheapest suppliers of hellebore plants.
I have an area that could easily use a couple hundred more.
If you have experience successfully growing them from seed any tips would be greatly appreciated.
5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHave you been to the Home and Garden Show in St.Louis, or Nashville?

1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoWhen Growing Irish Moss, Has anyone had any good results?
I have tried it a couple of times and it has done poorly for me. I have grown it commercially and it has done fine, but in my home garden in the ground it plays out within two seasons. Any practical suggestions would be helpful. I can surf the web myself so don't bother giving me a bunch of web sites to look at. I want tried and true solutions.
thanks,
