  • Do you reckon immortality is possible?

So the other day I watch Don't hug me I'm scared (I thought it was going to be a cute comedy due to the fanart on tumblr. I WAS SO VERY WRONG) but ANYWAY looking past the freaky video I was thinking (and it didn't hurt) - without the concept of time, could we class ourselves as immortal?

TL;DR: Is immortality tied in with time?

STILL TL;DR: CLOCKS DEATH TICKTOK LOL

(unsure how to class the question, sorry)

  • Large purple bruising on my lip after piercing?

So I had my lip pierced a few days ago, and the morning after the piercing a really huge purple bruise has formed on the inside of my lip. I wouldn’t usually be concerned as I know shizz like this happens, but the strip travels from my gumline to the top of my lip. It doesn’t hurt, but I’m wondering should I take out the piercing? Keep in mind that the discolouration is like, BRIGHT purple and isn’t small. The swelling has went down, just not the colour

  • Have you been helped through depression, even a little, by a stranger?

Warning - Yes, this is a very sappy post.

I haven't been using this account properly for a while, and so I came to look at my old questions. Last year, I was absolutely trapped in my own depressed mindset - avoiding details, I wasn't even sure I could carry on. Complete loner, hardly any friends, and I refused a lot of help.

In desperation, I'd find myself here on the mental health section, pouring my heart out, well aware somebody could take the p*ss or joke about my pretty silly frets. But, I was really wrong - people I didn't even know (and still don't) managed to talk sense into me - basically managed to convince me I'm not as stupid and strange as I believed and helped me seek help for my problems.

This is hardly much a question, more me saying thank-you so veryyy much. I'm much better than I've ever been, despite still being a sufferer of depression, but I've came far - I even have a small but amazing circle of friends! XD To the strangers that have helped me, I owe more than they'll ever know! I've seen so many people looking for help here, and I hope they continue receiving genuine support like I did :) Thanks guys, keep in mind you affect strangers more than you know :)

    (told you it's a sappy post :L)

  • Any idea on what this anime is?

I remember this anime I watched ages ago - I'd love some help figuring out what the heck I'd watched (vague synopsis time!)

I'm pretty sure it was set during some form of war, and the main character was a girl living with a man she treats as her father. Only, she's totally a robot or something. Anyway, the man is looking for his real daughter, and finds her just before the building she's in explodes. He thinks she's dead and freaks out, but she actually isn't (no surprises here.)

The probably-robot girl gets upset she isn't the guy's real daughter and runs away to some amateur engineer who manages to crash his airplane like a pro.

Anyway, I watched this like, 5 years ago. Any help is appreciated. :)

  • What is this possible chick flick film?

Ok I have to guess this film, and I even have the film's plot and still ave no idea =_= it was made before 2008, and my friend gave the amazing description:

"hes cool, shes a geek, hes a bad lad, gets in trouble, has to do some form of community service that his principle decides on"

    She also said

"she reveals she has cancer. They marry. She dies. The end."

Help me win the guessing things game, google doesn't help at all!

  • My mind is getting messed up beyond a joke?

Couple of months back, I made a huge change to my body by getting a very large tattoo. I wanted one for years, I haven't even had it colored, and yet for some reason this change has bombed my emotions. Ever since I've had it done, I can't even look at it, everything depresses me, I cling to my best friend like a child, I randomly burst into tears and I've been permanently feeling ill. Please dont make fun of me, I've already had the "oh you shouldn't have gotten a tattoo then" many times. I'm not sure I can put up with the sh*t for much longer. I'm a girl, and always been prone to depression and stress, but I feel like someone I'm not, and I can't get a hold of myself. I'm not even sure if the tattoo is the problem anymore, though it's certainly what set this all off.

It doesn't seem like removal is an option for my tattoo, though I don't even know if it would help now. I'm 17 and don't really make much of an income. I'm going to see a doctor soon and the thought of being on medication scares me a lot..

Please, if you are gunna be nasty go to another question. Thanks..

I haven't gotten into reading for a good while, and I want something good to start with :) any good detective story recommendations? Plenty of humor, a murder or two? And preferably a likable male lead, I'm not really interested in romance.. but if the suggestion is still good, please make it! I'm finding it hard to find a book I like...

  • What in the heck is wrong with me?!?

Stress had become a madly huge issue. At first, it was because I had started college - every morning I felt ill and I threw up a couple times. I enjoy college, so I dunno why I'm stressed. Then, this weekend was awful. I got my first tattoo, it's amazing but very big. I loved it at first, but then freaked out every time I accidently saw it. After two days of panic attacks, being unable to eat and generally feeling terrible, I suddenly felt OK. I still feel a little stressed, but now I'm feeling worse again, because I have to now see a doctor tomorrow because of the stress and freakouts. I don't want to be put on meds, I have a fear of them! If I talk to a consellor, won't they put me on meds too? My stress was first on college, then my tattoo, and now this! Please, will I have to be on meds?!

  • Question for people with tattoos?

I have a half-sleeve tat (it's only line work currently needs coloured in) and I live in a place FILLED with judgmental people, who think tattoos are obviously the sign of the devil or something. Have you had hassle about your tattoos from other people? How did you deal with it - I get upset very easily which sucks.

  • Who would win against each other, pirates, or ninjas?

I was arguing with my best friend whilst in college, who would win in this fight, a team of ninjas or a team of pirates? Which team would you be on? My friend was team ninja, but I'm for team pirate, I totally think it's their time to shine, plus the ninjas can't hinde in many places on the ocean. Show yer working out, and if you aren't answering the question then don't answer :P

  • Suggest me a good comedy/adventure manga?

Preferably where the main character starts out on their own, and builds up more and more friends (rather it focused on friends then romance) if not adventure then mystery is ok too

Also could you sum-up any suggestions you make with a sentence or two?

A likable main character is a must, any suggestions appreciated thanks :)

  • Will I end up loosing my teeth?

I'm really freaked out... admittedly I've not really gotten into the habit of brushing my teeth, cause as long as I could remember my gums bleed when I do but I haven't really experienced other problems, but my mum has lovingly pointed put that I might end up loosing all my teeth. Please tell me if this is true so I can proceed to have a panic attack.

Tonight I lost quite a bit of blood.
