  • Who is liable for damages in this situation?

Note: This situation has no basis in a real-life event. It is the basis for a novel that I am writing. I do not need any detailed legal advice, just an overview of "who" is legally liable for damages in an event like this if it were to happen in real life.

A person is shopping at a convenience store when two masked gunmen rush into the store to rob it. The store owner immediately pulls a gun out from under the counter and opens fire on the robbers. One robber is killed immediately, the other continues to exchange gunfire with the store owner, is injured but survives. One of the store owner's bullets misses and robber and hits the innocent bystander in the spine, leaving him with partial paraplegia and PTSD.

Who is liable for damages to this customer? In other words, who would be ordered by the court to pay out a large sum of money to this person? The store owner, personally? The insurance company that insures the store against injuries that might occur on the premises? The surviving armed robber? All of the above?

    Thanks in advance! :-)

  • Does Ziprasidone (Geodon) cause high blood pressure?

I have well-controlled high blood pressure with a baseline reading of 118/74. I started taking Ziprasidone (Geodon) one week ago and ended up in the ER with a new blood pressure reading of 167/113. It spikes like that about three hours after taking it, then eventually comes to a range that is still a lot higher than my baseline.

  • Why does Google Image Search return the same results over and over whenever I look something up?

For example, if I search for "high school yearbook 1995," it shows me the same pictures over and over and over. In fact, I am getting the same results today that I did one year ago, with almost no change! Clearing my browser cache does not help, and other search engines have the same problem. What gives?

  • If I am a male, can I choose a female confirmation name in the Roman Catholic Church?

In France it is acceptable for a male to choose a female confirmation name. It is also acceptable among monks and other Catholic clergy. I am wondering, will the Church allow me to do this if I am an American layperson?

My reason for asking is that I feel far more of an affinity for a few specific female saints than I do for any of the male saints. This is for purely spiritual reasons, of course; the struggles of these particular female saints echo with my own life experiences more closely than any of the male saints that I have researched.

Please, if you know the answer, just answer the question as I do not want to spend a great deal of time explaining myself beyond what I have already written as there really is nothing more to it than I have said. Thank you advance! :-)
