I recently bought a maxi dress from New Look, and it's so gorgeous that I didn't even think about how it'd fit me because I'm very petite! Is there a way I can shorten the dress? It's only one layer so safety pinning the bottom is a nono! And I do not own a sewing machine! Any suggestions? Thanks!

I know, excuses are bad, but I need one. I tend to buy gifts after Christmas because I have more time during Christmas break to shop. I went to my aunt's for the holidays. I found the gift she wanted online, and planned on ordering it then because it was easier. I had to go get pre-paid credit card because I didn't want to use my moms, and she wouldn't approve but we never got the chance to go! I had a back up plan of course, go to Claire's. But we NEVER got the chance to go shopping because my mom was always too busy, even after she promised. It was my fault I procrastinated though. So here I am two weeks after Christmas, I had made the excuse that the order got mixed up and wouldn't be here til next week, so when I got home, I got a prepaid credit card, but I can't seem to get the gift anymore! What excuse could I tell her that I couldn't get the gift she wanted? I don't want to tell her the truth, because I'll feel really bad, and I'll feel like such a bad friend! Please don't tell me to tell her the truth, because I don't think I could. Please help! Thanks!

As everyone knows, school's almost here! Yay?

Well, recently, I kind of changed up styles. I want to be more 'stylish'? I guess?

I used to wear just t-shirts and jeans. Now I'm into like, chiffon button ups, patterned skirts, and basically, just a far out style.

Bomb diggity? Well I want to start wearing makeup. But I'm scared a lot of people will comment on it. Like, "OMG YOU'RE WEARING MAKEUP?" I usually only wear make-up on special occasions, and I don't think anybody has seen me with makeup. It's not like, a cakeload of makeup. I just wanted to wear mascara or a nude lipgloss?

The tip of my nose is red kind of swollen, with a small bump, every time I press on it gently, it feels like a bruise. Am I overreacting? Is it a pimple? I just want to get rid of it, because every time I rub my nose, it hurts like a b****. Help? Please?

I have a cold sore scab, and it's so icky. I'm really self conscious about it. I've had it for about 2 days, and tomorrow's my birthday. FML. is it going to go away? how do I get rid of it by tomorrow? Would abreva help? toothpaste? :$
