  • How are you decorating the aisle for your wedding?

I am having an outdoor ceremony next month (indoor reception) and I am trying to figure out if I want to add anything to my aisle decorations. It's very simple so far...white chairs plain, brown vases by each chair with a citronella candle inside and petals around them lining the aisle. White pillars where we will be standing. My colors are cream, tan, chocolate brown and shades of yellow. I wanted to do paper lanterns hanging from the trees but they are all too tall lol. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Are you having programs at your wedding? Trying to decide whether to have them or not.?

My wedding is Sept 17th and I havent decided whether or not I want to do programs and if I do them then what style I want to do. I am very "thrifty" or "frugal" and have kept my costs very low so if I do them I was thinking of printing them on 4x6 pictures like from Wal-Mart for 0.28 each (I only need 50) but i'm open to other cheap ideas and opinions. Thanks :)

  • Applying for marriage license tomorrow but don't have my social security card...help?

We live in Utah but we are getting married in Idaho therefore we are going up to Idaho tomorrow to apply for our marriage license. I called and asked what I needed and they said drivers license and social security card. Not a problem for my fiance but I lost my social security card awhile back and I cannot find any paper that has my social on it. I have it memorized tho so will that be enough? I don't know what else to do. Thanks

  • Tissue paper pomander balls? Cheesy or not?

I found a tutorial online when I did a search for how to make pomander balls to go along the aisle at my wedding next month and it showed how to make them out of tissue paper. Just wanted other peoples opinions on if this would look cheesy compared to silk flowers or if it would look just fine...not to mention SO MUCH cheaper lol. Thanks :)

  • First dance song..."I'll Be Seeing You". Dilemma? :(?

My fiance and I affectionately call each other Noah And Ally, one because its my all time favorite movie and 2 because we had a similar story...therefore my fiance wants to use the song "Ill Be Seeing You" off of the movie for our first dance at our wedding next month. I loved the idea at first but everytime I listen to the song now I feel more and more weird about using it because the lyrics are happy but talking about remembering the love and memories instead of a song about how much we love each other now if that makes sense. Just thought I would ask for other opinions...am I looking too much into it or should I try and find another song that means something to us? (we have other songs but they are fast and wouldnt really work for a first dance). Thanks a bunch!

  • Songs to walk back down the aisle to?

I need suggestions on songs for myself and the groom to walk back down the aisle to after we get married. I'm not looking for something really upbeat or "cheesy" like "im a believer" or "I got you babe". We want something classy but not classical! Thanks :)

  • Planning my 2nd wedding...question on where to have it at. I REALLY need opinions!?

I was married very young and divorced a year later. We got married in a little white church and had the reception at a GORGEOUS steakhouse reception area with an outdoor patio, right on the river. We did not however do anything outside...it was all indoors. I am now planning my 2nd wedding and am seriously thinking of having the wedding and reception both at this same steakhouse but doing everything outdoors on the patio at sunset with lots of candles and white xmas lights....i cant get this idea out of my head but i would like others opinions on if this would be wrong to do. We did not get married at this location. What do you guys think? Thanks.

  • Just had my car inspected and passed for safety and emissions...then sold the car. Does the new owner need to?

I just sold my car shortly after it passed safety and emissions (less than a month ago in Utah). Does the new owner of the car have to get it recertified or will the current certification work? Thanks.

  • 3 year old calls names, acts out....all around horrible. Help?

I am asking this for my ex sister in law. Her 3 year old daughter has been especially defiant the past couple months. Every day she tells her mother she is "rude" and "doesnt want her". She is only disrepectful to her mother (doesnt matter if her father or 19 month old brother is around) but when she is around other family members like grandparents she is just fine. She goes to daycare and my ex sister in law says there is a new child there who has a similar attitude so she thinks that is where she is getting her "words" from but doesn't understand why she is only mean to her and not her father, etc. My only idea is that because her father drives long distance trucking and isnt home that she is angry about it and takes it out on the other parent. She has tried time outs, spankings, ignoring the comments (which results in the child trying to break things and slamming doors) and everything else she can think of. She will also occaisionally hit her brother when she is told no about something. Any ideas for her? She is at her wits end.

  • Can I file taxes and claim my daughter even tho I do not work?

I am divorced and last year my ex husband claimed our daughter (as it states in our divorce decree) and gave me half of the child credit like he was supposed to. This year he is claiming that he will not get a return because he runs his own business but thats not fair to me because I am supposed to get the 500 dollars just like last year so my question is....even tho i am a stay at home mom and do not work can i file for the child tax credit and claim my daughter? Thanks.
