Currently living in Melbourne, barrack for the Bombers and Melbourne Storm,,MCC member so I spend a lot of my Saturdays at the G, played lots of footy around Melbourne and a bit of pro cricket in England many moons ago, keen on the horses both as an owner and punter.

  • Is Harry O a bit 'precious' to be playing in the AFL?

Fair dinkum what's up with this clown, if he wants to peddle his radical views on life in general why doesn't he pay for some airtime on a community radio station or stand on the steps at Flinders St station where he will have people listening who actually give a continental about what this goose rambles on about, how do you reckon he would he go if Damian Monkhorst, Mick McGuane or Pants Millane were still playing!!

  • Anybody give Port a chance today?

They are not the easybeats of last year, Cassis is a big out but I reckon they will keep the Bombers honest, do you reckon Kochie will boo Jobe?

  • Any better way to beat Carlton?

5 goals up and cruising in the 3rd with the game at there mercy, the Carlton supporters were already talking about the next few games and how they can consolidate a spot in the top 4, how sweet it is, great comeback by the Bombers, if we had lost I reckon our year was stuffed and it was fantastic to see 16 of our past greats carrying out the premiership cups, god I love beating Carlton !!

  • Will you be watching State of Origin 1?

How many diehard AFL fans will tune in, I know I will be!

  • Who are the TV, radio, newspaper commentators that irritate you the most?

With so many AFL accredited commentators these days there must be plenty who give you the shites!

My top/ worst 5 are, in no particular order

1 Andy Maher, SEN, Channel 10, he seems to think the public is interested in what he did on the weekend or who his mates are, scrawny little weasel who looks like Millhouse from the Simpsons.

    2. Tony Jones Channel 9, not much this bloke doesn't pretend to know, I've seen him play footy and he couldn't get a kick in an electric chair, should never ever criticise a league player, still on a Jenny Craig diet.

    3. Mark Fine SEN, was OK last year but starting to believe he is the Neil Mitchell of Sunday night radio, needs to lighten up and listen to his callers, not sure if he is playing with a full deck either.

4 James Brayshaw, MMM Channel 9, not even a poor mans Eddie McGuire, school boy smutty jokes, and the most obvious fake laugh I have heard for a long time, has love bites on his mirror!

5 Mick McGuane, RSN, great footy brain, but makes an absolute meal of the English language, no way he should be co-hosting a 3 hour show every day, count how many times he says 'no doubt about it' each morning

  • Are Melbourne players being paid too much?

I know the answer is an obvious YES, but what I'm getting at is should the AFL drop the minimum amount the Dees have to pay out each year, at the moment I think each club has to pay a minimum of 93% of there salary cap each year, based on that Lynden Dunn is probably getting more that Stewart Crameri and Cale Hooker at Essendon, why not pay these rabbits market value and save Melbourne about 2 mill a year?

  • Why do supporters leave games early?

I've never ever left a game before the final siren regardless of the score, I have noticed that Collingwood supporters always stick fat and stay until the end, is this because they are loyal and passionate fans or are they trying to dodge the ticket inspectors at Jolimont station?

  • Are the Bombers running on empty?

It looks as though the long running drug investigation may be taking a toll at Essendon, they looked as flat as a tack against the Lions yesterday, it would seem natural that all the innuendo, speculation and negative publicity would have some sort of effect, maybe it galvanised the club at the start of the season a bit like Cronulla but are the wheels about to fall off?

  • Has Dave Warner lost the plot?

Warners rant on twitter yesterday only reinforces the fact that the modern cricketer is nothing more than a spoilt child, overpaid and under performing, any hopes Warner had of captaining his country are gone, little wonder Haddin was brought back into the side.

  • Is Essendon carrying Dustin Fletcher?

I have always been a big wrap for Fletch but I reckon his efforts this year have been below par, I'd say Tayte Pears has been playing better but he keeps getting dropped. Fletch seems to panic when he gets the ball nowadays and rarely has any impact on a game, do you think Hird has the balls to make the tough call and drop him?

  • Will Fergie come to Australia?

United are coming to play in Australia during the off season, will Sir Alex come along with the team, he would be a huge draw card and it will be very disappointing if he misses the trip.

  • What was going on with Footscays clash jumper?

I have seen some 'Barry Crockers' in my time, think Hawthorns diamond effort and the Saints yellow Pura milk monstrosity but this has got to be up there with the best/worst of them, it was a throw back to 1975 when every club wanted to make an impact for colour TV, the bombers wore red shorts,Fitzroy and the hawks gold, what's the worse clash jumper you have seen?

  • Will Andy Carroll be at West Ham next season?

I think he is a good player and has done a fair job with limited chances at West Ham, I,know Sam is desperate to keep him but would one of the bigger clubs look at him or would Liverpool recall him to fill the Saurez gap

  • How many VFL/AFL grounds have you been to?

With the 'cake tin' in Wellington becoming the newest AFL venue, I was interested in how many grounds you have seen a game at, it must have been for premiership points not a practice match.

    Here's my list.

    MCG

    VFL Park

    Princess Park

    Victoria Park

    Windy Hill

    Western Oval

    Junction Oval

    Kardinia Park

    Glenferrie Oval

    Arden Street

    Moorabbin

    Lakeside Oval

    Footy Park

    WACA

    SCG

    Gabba

    Canberra

    17 in total

  • Is John Singleton right with his criticism of Gai Waterhouse?

Singo has threatened to remove all of his horses from Gai's yard, is this an over reaction or does he have a genuine reason to do it?

  • Who does Ray Warren follow?

Being from Melbourne I don't know much about Rabbs, but I'm tipping he barracks for Manly, evey time they play he can't stop rapping them up, regardless of how they are travelling, it's getting a bit boring as I hate Manly more than I hate Collingwood

  • Your thoughts on the Australian Ashes squad?

Haddin and Rogers back at 35, not exactly the youth policy I was hoping for but the cupboard is bare at the moment, can't believe Shaun Marsh can't get a gig, it's going to be a long long tour.
