Hey if you want to learn more about MM and growing in general, Grasscity has a HUGE amount of resources. This'll set you straight. http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/ Also, you'll want to check out here for some really good details, how to make primo bud. http://www.weedsthatplease.com/ If you're actually a med patient, I recommend you don't skimp out on the lights. Buy a 1000 watt MH and a 1000 watt HPS. You won't get what you're looking for otherwise. If you're just a recreational user you'd get by with a 400w MH and HPS.

  • A Prime Minister losing their seat in a general election (Canada)?

Ok I know the political parties run their candidates for Prime Minister in known 'safe' ridings. What happens if the potential PM's riding is lost to a different party, but his party wins a majority government anyways? I realize that there would be a by-election and a party member would step down for it, but what would they do in the meantime?

  • There's this girl and I'm not sure what to do?

Alright, I loathe reading this questions usually, but perhaps somebody could help. Just a little background-- 22/M and haven't been in a relationship before, and she's 19. Now that this is out of the way, here's the back-story to my question.

So this last week or so this girl and I have been on a couple of dates. Last night we went for a picnic, and after we packed up we were going to take a short walk. We held hands, just a loose grip--this is important, and walked for a minute or so. Then I told her I liked her, and she said she just wasn't ready for a relationship just yet, but we still walked for a while holding hands afterwards. So we get to some deeper trees and decided to go for 1 1/2 hour hike along the river trails, and had an absolute blast. Along the way we did some trespassing and managed to get lost. It turns out we followed the trails 2 kilometres up the river side and it took us 4km to get back to the car. When we finally made it to the streets, we took our shoes off and walked barefoot for half the walk back to the car, in the middle of the city.

Ok here's where it gets a little gushy. So we finally get back to her place, and I'm dropping her off. I'll be honest, and it's a little embarrassing, but I haven't kissed anyone before this. So we're sitting in my car in the dark, and I said 'so you really aren't ready for a relationship yet'. She said she'd only been in one before and wouldn't really call it much of one, and wasn't sure how they work. So I ran my fingers along her jaw line, and said she absolutely gorgeous and a great person to be with. We just sat there in silence for a minute. I didn't go in for the kiss. So we talked a little more, and I flat out told her, I hadn't kissed anyone before, and I wasn't sure if I am supposed to now. So she said 'you can kiss me if you want', and foolishly I said 'well do you want to'. Fortunately I was quick on the ball and grabbed her hand and went in for the kiss, then we pulled back and I gave her another one, after which we held hands for a minute, but this time she was rubbing her thumb on my hand. So we said our goodnights afterwards and I went home.

Twenty minutes later I got a text and she said she wasn't sure how relationships worked, but she didn't want me to get hurt because I was a nice guy. I told her "I haven't had any experience before either, like when do people become couples, do they sit down and mutually agree to start dating or does it just happen?' So I didn't get a reply for a bit so I said 'maybe both of us not knowing was supposed to happen, and perhaps we could figure it out together.' So she said 'we'll have to go slowly for a while to get to know one another first.' I replied 'I'll wait for her, there'd be nothing I'd like more than us growing close together.' She said she was glad about that.

Now that you have a little back story on this my predicament is this--I'm swinging by her place tomorrow morning before work because she forgot her purse in my car, so do I go in for a smooch before leaving, cause I'm not sure if I shouldn't cause we're not in a relationship, or do I? Do I just give the purse to her? Also, she's lives with her parents still, so is that something I shouldn't do then?

Sorry for the long story but I really don't know what to do.

  • When a dog shakes to dry off is it voluntary or involuntary?

When a dog shakes to dry off is it voluntary or involuntary?

Hmm I was just thinking about this as I was shaking my head to dry my longish hair. Does a dog have the capacity to shake like that voluntary or is it more like a shiver to them?

  • 7 hour power failure and cannabis light cycle URGENT?

My plants were on from 5am till 11am then we had a power failure from 11am till 5:45PM.

My normal schedule is 5am till 11pm. Should I just let the lights go off again at 11pm or should I adjust now for 5:45pm till11:45am? They're still in the veg stage and I want to keep them like that till next week. In addition I just topped one of my plants too, so what is the least amount of stress I can give them.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

  • Moving to BC from Saskatoon?

    Hi;

I've been wanting to move to BC for a while, (think Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Coquitlam), and I'm wondering what I have to do for with my car loan. It's currently with a Saskatchewan credit union, do I just switch banks? This really is the only thing holding me back.

  • The American 2nd Amendment?

Hi, a Canadian here, as such I am less familiar with the US constitution so... from what I gathered the original intention of the 2nd amendment was for the people to bear arms against the government in case of repression. But in the case of "District of Columbia v. Heller" the verdict came up with:

"The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home." --2008

So, is the second amendment being stripped away from you guys in preparation of a coming government repression?

  • Venting bathroom fan to ventilation ducts?

This is a hypothetical question, I have in-floor heating so I couldn't even do this lol.

In places with a furnace they tend to get dry in the winter. Could you vent your bathroom fan to on of the air ducts (ductwork?) going into a living room or den? I don't mean through the furnace exhaust (I know, the pressure switch and carbon monoxide), but somewhere further up the line closer to one of the ducts in a room? Again, just a hypothetical question.

  • Is my lazy eye noticeable (pic)?

Or am I just being super self conscious? I find it hard to look people in the eye when talking, as I keep thinking they'll notice it. This pic is when it's at its absolute worst. Is it noticeable?

  • Paying our politicians?

A thought just occurred to me--if we didn't pay our politicians, or even kept them just above the poverty line, do you think that we'd have less career politicians and have more people enter politics simply for what it is about: to make the country better?

  • Does a 40 watt bulb need a junction box?

I have a 40 watt compact fluorescent light going into a closet. I just set all the wiring up, but do I need a junction box to put the porcelain lampholder on, or can it just go directly onto wood?

  • Okay to leave ground wire bare?

I'm splicing four pieces of 14-2 gauge copper wire to an 16 gauge electrical cord. The copper wire doesn't have any covering on it. Is it okay to connect the grounds, then attach it to my keyless lampholder? Or is something bad going to happen then?

  • How to install keyless porcelain lampholder?

Ok, so I watched this video http://www.electrical-online.com/how-to-install-an...

Now I have a couple questions. I am looking to put these in some plywood, and was hoping to use an electrical cord to power it. What do I need to buy (I have the lampholder beside me) and how do I do it. I just don't feel like burning my house down is all.

I am aware that this is probably a crazy idea so spare me that please :)

  • When the violence from the Mexican drug war spills over, will the US legalize Cannabis finally?

When the violence from the Mexican drug war spills over, will the US legalize Cannabis finally? I mean, they'll only allow their own citizens to be killed for so long before they decide that legalization is the way to go. Or do you think that they'll allow the violence and corruption to become rampant in Texas?

  • Can a Canadian majority government lose a motion of confidence?

To start, I am Canadian. However no amount of searching on the net has given me an answer. So, can a majority government lose a motion of confidence? Can the ruling party vote against itself internally? Are there examples of this happening in any country's history?

    Thanks :)
