I need help with a leaf identification?

I am on the last leaf of my leaf collection project. I cannot figure out what this leaf is. If you have even an idea, let me know so I can google it and compare. I'm getting pretty desperate because these specimens are not the best.

Also, I am located in Virginia so this tree would most likely be local to this state

  • Addition/Subtraction of Square Roots Problem?

Okay my last one that I had a lot of trouble with that I want to double check my answer:

    5squareroot48 - 2squareroot32 + squareroot75

    I got the answer of 88squareroot2 + 75squareroot3.

    Am I close?

Btw, I don't know how to write the square root symbol so just fill that in where it's written.

  • HELP! Math Problem!!!?

    This question states:

Rationalize the denominator of 3/ square root 4x. Assume that all variables represent positive real numbers.

(I cannot write out fractions or square roots so imagine that where the slash is where the fraction starts. basically the square root of 4x is on the bottom and the 3 is on the top.)

  • Multiplication Question?

    (7 square root x - 8) (7 square root x +8)

I don't know how to write out a square root symbol, so hopefully you can imagine how the problem looks.

  • Problems between my two nuetered male cats?

I have two male neutered cats. One siamese mix that is about 6 years old, and one Maine Coon mix that is around 8 or 9. Usually they get along fine..they sleep in the bed together, go outside together, and play together.

Well, lately at night when the siamese mix is trying to sleep the Maine Coon mix jumps on him and bites him by the scruff of his neck until I break it up. It's almost like how the males bite the females while mating, it's very very strange. They were both neutered very young, as kittens, so i'm not sure if this is just a dominate thing or what is going on. But it's very random, and he always waits until the other is sleeping to attack.

Can someone explain this to me, and let me know if it'll get worse or what? Because it just started happening about two months ago.

  • Italian Greyhound negatives?

I've been looking into different breeds of dogs, I might be interested in. I've given myself around a year or so to decide so I can have my ducks in a row and be exactly sure what is best suited.

Can someone tell me more about Italian Greyhounds from personal experience? Like difficulty training, health problems, temperament problems, etc.

I was interested in greyhounds, and still am, but I saw those seem to have personalities a long the same lines and would be more ideal for apartment life.

  • My cat had a stroke a week ago, questions?

He's 16 years old and recovering very well. Eating about every 4 hours, drinking plenty of water, sleeping soundly, and all of his litterbox business is normal.

Well first, he seems to wander around aimlessly now that we allow him into the living room..he'll circle the living room for about an hour or two before going to lay down. Is this a result of the stroke or him getting used to his surroundings agian since being confined to our office room for a couple of days?

Also, for a few days his foot would knuckle under him and he would step all over it...now he is walking fairly normal..but while drinking water he dips that foot into the water the entire time. I've seen other cats drink water with their paw..but he was never that type. Does he not have feeling in that paw? What exactly is this behavior?

  • Cat had stroke, I just want to know what I should do.?

I got very few responses the first time, so I figured I'd try agian. :(

My cat began to show symptoms of loss of balance and when it got onto it's feet it would move towards walls. We got him to the vet immediately and they said they believe he is showing signs from a stroke. They did a blood test that showed really good results for his kidneys, white blood cell count, and liver. So my vet gave us Clindamycin at a dose of 2mLs and told us he should show improvement within 2 to 3 days.

My cat is 16 years old, had a brain tumor before which resulted in removal of his ear but completely cleared up.

Now that he is back home he still seems completely out of it..by not really acknowledging his name or surroundings, doesn't seem to have good usage of his front right paw and back left leg (they seem to knuckle up under him when moving about) and he doesn't seem to be sleeping, just leaning his head against something and staring. We have him confined into our bathroom, and he is now drinking LOTs of water and even ate a couple of bites of food after a few hours.

Can I realistically expect this to get better? Will he be the same after these 2 to 3 days that the vet recommended?

And please try to be nice...I've had this cat my entire adult life, we've spent 16 years together so yes he is a family member..so try to take it easy. :(

Also, is there anything I could do to make his recovery period more comfortable? I already have him a low lipped box with a heating pad and towel in it. Should I confine him to his crate for safety?

  • How to trim my senior cats claws?

My senior cat is between the ages of 15 - 17 years old. His claws continue to grow and now it's to the point that he is getting hung up on everything the couches, my bed spread, the carpet, etc. I know it has to be painful when he gets snagged up and I've even seen him trip and fall.

I'm not taking him to the vet just for this because he gets so worked up on car rides that he vomits, pees, and defecates to the point of dehydration and needs an IV.

So what are your best recommendations for attempting to get these claws under control?

  • My dog snorts when excited or disciplined?

My great dane snorts when he has a toy or when somebody fusses at him. Is this a sign of aggression or is he just over excited? It's almost like when our horse snorts and blows when excited or sees another horse. What exactly is this behavior?
