  • How do I start a private investment company?

I am wanting to start a small investment company and wondering what kind I should go with (corporation, LLC, trust, etc.) and how to go about doing it. What I am looking for is a way to buy and sell investments, mostly stocks and bonds, some long term and some day trading, and I want my investment money to be legally separated from my personal money. I am only using my own money and will not be investing for others. My objective is to protect my portfolio from whatever might occur in my personal life, like lawsuits, etc. and I want to have complete control over my investments, able to invest in what I want to when I want to, able to deposit and withdraw funds when I want to. I live in Illinois and already own a small S corp for my business. Any advice would be most helpful. Thank you.

  • Was Adolf Hitler influenced by the Bible?

I mean, do you think he read the story of Joshua and the way he sacked Jericho, and said to himself "Hey, that's how you do it, murder every one whether they be a man, woman, child, old, disabled...no mercy and complete genocide is the way to conquer your enemies." So much for the whole Thou Shall Not Kill commandment, huh. He could have followed the example of our Christian forefathers too and the genocide of the Native Americans as an example, yes?

  • Does the Catholic faith put clergy above the safety of children?

After spending hundreds of millions of dollars to settle sexual abuse claims this year alone, the church has admitted to spending over 2 BILLION DOLLARS since the 1950's to settle abuse claims. And still, there is no outcry from the Christian community, no demand for reform, no protests, no one even acknowledging the problem openly. How can all of these so called Christians just look the other way when there is an epidemic of molestation within their ranks? I mean, do you lose your ticket to Heaven for standing up to the church and telling the truth, that they are evil men for the way in which they have hidden and denied all of these claims for years, have not cooperated with authorities and have even gone as far as to move clergy around to protect them from justice. So, does the Catholic faith not care about the safety of it's children if it involves standing up to the religious authority?

  • Do you think that Marion Jones got what she deserved?

She was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 800 hours of community service today for lying to prosecutors about her steroid use and for being involved in a fraudulent check cashing scheme, where she helped cash millions in stolen checks.

  • Why does the the Christian community ignore the child molestation epidemic within its system?

Everybody knows that there is an epidemic of child molestation within the Christian church system. There are reports every day about the cover ups, huge pay outs of hush money, and the church's refusal to cooperate with authorities. But there is no out cry from the Christian community about this. Almost no protests, no call for those responsible to be brought to justice, no demands for safe guards to be put in place to keep this from happening again, no outrage, no anything. Everybody just seems to sigh and look the other way, like it doesn't involve them so they don't worry about it. 'It's sad, but what can we do?' kind of attitude about the whole situation. What I want to know is why? Why no outrage? No protests? No call for reform? No demand that our children deserve protection from these predators? No acknowledging that this problem even exists? And how can an entire group of people be so cold when it comes to these most innocent of victims?
