What is the difference of history and archeology?
As far as I know, history is a written records while archeology is a science based on the real things. If so, Inca and Maya didn't have history.

However, battleships had been the rear guard in major naval battle. For example, Yamato did not participate in the battle of Midway. Why?

I'm a Japanese and had lived around Tokyo and Kyoto.
I can't understand most of dialects spoken in south-western and north-eastern Japan at all but they are all considered variation of Japanese.
I heard that Danish and Swedish can mutually understandable. The same for Czech and Slovak. While Bavarian language is hardly recognizable for standard German speakers but considere as a dialect of Germany. I'm confused.

Among the nations participated in WWII, only Germany is reffered to as Nazi. But Nazi(Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) is the name of a political party. Not all of the German soldiers and citizens at that time were members of Nazi. If Germany at that time should be referred to as Nazi, then Italy should be referred to as PNF(Partito Nazionale Fascista), UK as Conservative, USA as Democratic, etc.
