  • Trying to install magisk on my tablet.?

I have been having trouble installing magisk on my tablet.

I ve tried just installing the app and get an error.

The TWRP app doesn t have my alcatel onetouch pixi tablet listed so I m having trouble making a flash recovery(it s a new tablet so other than the software I have nothing to loose on it) (alcatel onetouch pixi 3 7" for sprint)

from my understanding I need to unlock the bootloader so I can make a custom recovery

every boot loader app I ve looked through requires root acess

From what I have read, magisk won t run with another root software installed.

This article says a rooted device is required pre-requiset:

    https://devs-lab.com/how-to-setup-magisk-manager-o...

So I guess I need to first root the device with a separate software, create a custom recovery with root permissions

    Then unroot the device?

I had kingoroot in a tablet of the same model and when I decided I wanted to use magisk. uninstalling kingoroot softbricked it and I ended up buying another tablet of the same make and model since I couldn t get in working again. So I m a little hesitant to install something I might not be able to get out later.

If I do have to root first, it looks like superSU is one of the better options, unless someone has a better suggestion

Very new to rooting, not super tech savy but I learn by doing, and everyone starts somewhere. End goal is to be able to have a rooted device that can control but hide my root from google safety checks.

  • Getting lower notes on a ukelele.?

I have soprano ukelele and am trying to self teach myself. When plucking individual notes I found the lowest it can go is the C string. Doing some reading online, I found that I would need to buy aset of low G strings(and tune the G string low). When searching low G strings, all of the ones I found say they are for a tenor ukelele. Would I need to get a tenor ukelele in order to have an instrument that plays the lower notes? What would happen of I strung a soprano ukelele with low G strings (I could get a second soprano ukelele on amazon for under 20$ and tune it. Tenor Ukeleles are all over 50. Trying to keep it cheap while learning) Does it matter if they were made for a tenor uke?

My phone got water damage. I waited 72 hours for it to dy out. When I turn it on it vibrates but the screen won't turn on.

Will drying it out more do anything or should I just give up and get a new phone?

  • can anyone provide thin link for the care sheet petco has on goldfish.?

can anyone provide thin link for the care sheet petco has on goldfish. I'm having trouble finding it. I'm using it to prove a point that even petco recommends 29+gallon tanks for goldfish.

  • Will this work for building a rat cage?

    http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-28-in-x-50-ft-Garde...

More specifically can they slip through the bar spacing or is this okay? it says only inch but it's wide?

Sorry if this sound kind of dumb. I've not built a rat cage before.

  • OMG What's wrong with my car?

So Normally my car is very quiet when I drive. On my way home from school I hear a loud *pop* and all the sudden my car stars putting loudly like a lawn mower. At first I thought it was the muffler, but then at stop lights it was idling really badly and I had to restart it a couple of times. It kupt making a *put put put* noise. My whole way home. It was a fairly smooth while driving despite the noise but had a bit of a rough time slowing down. What are some things that could be wrong?

Car is a 2003 ford crown Victoria, police interceptor model.

  • What are your thoughts on this cage?

I got a young rabbit a while back. When I got her I got the largest cage I could afford for her at the time. While I know it is too small it is twice the size of the one she was living in from her old owner.

Anyway I will soon be looking for a good low cost apartment cage. (hopefully I won't end up having to build one but I will if I have to)

and I feel like this one isn't too unreasonable in price(the 3 story one)

    http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display...

The bunny will be out in a play area while I'm home. This is more to keep the dog away from her while I'm at work and she cannot be supervised. Just looking for your thoughts, too small? or is it okay?

  • Are there any plants poisonous to goldfish?

    Currently I have 2 tiny fantails in a 40 gallon breeder.(maybe getting a third, haven't yet decided)

Their tank has a few decorations but for my own reasons I've left it a bare bottom tank.

My other fish tanks are planted tanks and I don't remember the names of all the types of plants in there but I'm wondering, are there any plants poisonous to goldfish? Like if I'm trimming some plants in my other tanks and throwing the trimmings in my goldfish tank, will there be any that I should double check and make sure I don't have or at least don't throw in there tank?

So far when researching I haven't found anything come up but I was curious if any one knew of any.

  • I'm trying to figure out if it is safe to use one outlet?

A long time ago when I was hooking up some shelves in my old room in my moms house I was using a power drill and I heard a pop and some smoke came out and that outlet didn't work. The circuit breaker was reset and it started working again. However it was never looked at. I've used it for short term use of items but I have been hesitant to plug anything in. If I do it is for the short term. Do you think it is okay to use?

Could I have anything plugged in there for long term? Specifically an air-pump for a fish-tank that constantly uses 4.5 watts at any given time?

  • How do you figure out what the footprint is for an aquarrium?

For example I have heard before that a 40 gallon breeder can hold more fish, depending on the fish, then a 55 gallon given that it is more long and wide then it is tall. When I put in stocking suggestions in Aqadvisor.com I get more options for a 40 breeder then a 55 gallon so I'm wondering if their is something to that. Since it violates every so many gallons per so many fish rules that you hear I'm curious how to calculate that. Also I want to investigate the sources of how it can be calculated. Hopefully I'm making sense.

  • So I've never actually seen pop-eye in person before?

From what I've been reading it's normally not contagious just bad water quality but when I tested the water:

    Ammonia:0

    Nitrite:0

    Nitrate:10

It could be an infection, but since it's not water quality, I'm wondering if it's the contagious kind. trying to decide if I should just leave him be and see if it gets worse or treat the whole tank with some kind of medication. The fish has normal coloring is swimming around like normal, I noticed this just today because I just got done feeding them so I don't think it's been going on very long.

  • how long do I give rabbit alfalfa?

I haven't owned a rabbit less then 6 months old in about 14 years so I really don't remember all the little details of baby bunny diet.

I got a rabbit 4 weeks ago. She was 12 weeks old then and of course 16 weeks old now. I have been feeding her a feed formulated for young rabbits and a mixture of alfalfa and timothy hay.

How long until I don't have to have the alfalfa hay in her diet and she can just be fed timothy hay?

She is pretty big right now but I don't think she is done growing. Or at least I'm expecting her to be much bigger given that she is a new Zealand/ Flemish giant mix.

  • Does anyone use feeder fish? How to make sure it's not diseased?

If you are offended by the idea of purposely killing or using fish for food. You should probably move on. This question is not for you.

So I was reading up on axolotl care. Many websites suggest not using feeder fish from a store and instead breeding your own. I don't really want to go through the set up for breeding.

However If I did want to use feeders from the store, how long should I quarantine them for, and what should I look for in terms of diseases and symptoms?

Since axolotls can be trained to be hand fed, could I just boil the feeders to make sure they were disease free? what would be the best way to humanly euthanize the fish before doing so?

  • So there was a stowaway discovered in my sisters tank?

So there was a stoleaway discovered in my sisters tank. We just got her guppies earlier today and set up an all male guppy tank. (all males in this particular tank at the store) So I was a little surprised to see a small 1/2 inch long fry in the mix when we got home. I decided to separate it since it was getting picked on during feeding. Not sure what to do with it now. I have a small below gravel heater and a fish bowl I used for a baby Betta once, and I'm keeping the guppy there for now. I can move it if need be but I don't really have the money right now and buy a whole bunch of other stuff.(maybe in a couple weeks)

I mostly wanted to separate it from the others because it's so small I don't know if I would see it if it died, but I also don't want it to die.

Sorry the camera on my phone isn't that great so it may be hard to see. (look for the line connecting 2 tan rocks)

    http://s31.photobucket.com/user/nightrabbit/media/...

so any tips on preventing it from dying? Any clue on how old it is?
