I'm currently considering a job as a lifeguard. I did water polo in high school, and have an EMT certification, but kinda need a summer job so life guarding seems like the right fit.

However, I have a tattoo on my thigh. It's simple ivy, nothing offensive or inappropriate, but I've searched google as well as the Wet n' Wild website to find out if I should even bother getting the training and have found absolutely nothing.

If anybody has any experience with this, or knows where to find the answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

My teacher has the annoying habit of pulling random expressions out of her [butt]. I had never been introduced to "The South 40" until the class got a little too loud.

"Keep it down, this isn't the south 40!" So we asked, 'hey teacher, what is the south 40' (paraphrasing), but she, like usual, pretended not to hear us.

I believe everyone in the class has asked at least once, and we all get the same answer; she goes back to doing whatever she was doing and does not say another word. I'm not good at reading body language, but it seems to me that SHE doesn't know what it means either.

So where did this phrase come from, what is it supposed to mean? Links would be greatly appreciated.

My teacher is shoving some more African literature down our throats. I just need some help figuring out what genre it's supposed to be in. Don't tell me to read the book, it's no help at all, unless it's point is to make my brain melt from pure boredom.

Ok, I was just curious to know how people on here remove ticks. I don't need to know the textbook way, lol, i just want to see all the different ways people remove ticks.

My parents would take a match, light it, blow it out, then press it against the tick. (that is not the proper way, so don't try it, lol)

ok, now, before you leave, i am a girl, and i am not a lesbo. (no offense if you are) lol. I've got a little bright red dot on my boob, and when i say bright red, i mean BRIGHT RED. its very small, and its not really noticable, but anyway, i was wondering if anyone else had anything like that. Oh, and alot of my friends talk about thier 'boob freckle', lol. So, i began to think, does everyone have some sort of 'boob freckle'? (im not talking about the one babies latch on to, lol).

This is hard to explain.

Every now and then i get this horrible feeling of dread. It usually passes quickly, but for those few seconds i feel hopeless, worthless, ugly, and absolutely horribe. It always happens in a social situation, and its really terrible.

I just want to see if anyone else feels this.

Oh, and like i said, its something that only happens occasionally.

I'm being treated for Deppression, (zoloft)

and borderline ADHD, (Adderal)

could this be a side-effect? or am i just crazy? lol

I'm doing a persuasive speech and i want to see what you think of this issue. Young children being place on antideppressents, antiphsycotics, ADHD meds, and various other mental illness medications. If you can, please give me websites that offer pro's and cons on the subject. Do you believe that the medications are bad for them, or do you believe that they will help in the long term? Thank you for all input. I will do my best to judge which person deserves the 10 points best answer.

I have a wierd red rash on my ankle. Its an oval shaped spot on the inside of my ankle. and i've noticed recently a couple more little spots appearing on my legs. they don't itch, they aren't raised, and they don't hurt. It appeared one day, and has been varying in color ever since. always red, or brownish. Sometimes it's barely visible and other days its dark red. I was using an anti athletes foot cream on my feet, and wehn i read the side-effects it said that red blotches was one of them. so i stopped using it. that was several months ago, and its still not gone. any ideas????
