I recently went to a gas station in town that charged 5.5% sales tax on items bought in the store. Our county tax is 5.1% in Wisconsin. I have been to other gas stations and grocery stores and bought the exact same things and they charged 5.1% tax. Is it illegal to up the sales tax and if so, who can I contact to have an investigation done on the gas station? Only serious answers please. Thank you!

I had a virus and I have Norton. The virus was removed/repaired, but now I cannot get any Microsoft updates. I have tried all the things that they stated to do with "enabling" the automatic update and such, but nothing is working. I am at my wits end with this. Because I do have Norton, I know that I am limited to as to what else to use. Please help. Thanks!

I need some helpful advice. I have Road Runner wireless and it seems like lately, I either have low strength or no connection and I am constantly having internet interruptions, which causes a major headache with the work that I do. I work at home, but the internet is not the responsibility of my employer. I have wireless because there is no cable jack in the spare bedroom. I live in an apartment, so putting one in is out of the question. Is there any other options or hints of things that I can do first before calling the cable company in?

Yesterday, me and my husband came home and we had something stolen from outside our door. We live in an apartment and my husband had expensive winter boots that he uses for work. We have never had this happen before. We called the police and made a report. I pretty much know who did it, but of course can't prove it. I ended up taking all of my X-mas decorations off the door and left a note in return:

“Merry Christmas. We did have nice decorations on the door for all to see, but do to some low-life thief, they were taken down. But hey, have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

I need answers on how to deal with my ingrateful sister-in-law who is in her mid 30s. Every year she ruins Christmas for everyone. I dread going over there, but I get along with my husbands parents and the rest of the family. My husband feels the same way I do, but is stuck in a bad position. He wants to say something, but doesn't want to ruin Christmas for his parents. I don't either, but I have had enough. She is rude and ungrateful for any gift she gets and acts immature. I need help on how to confront her without disrespecting my mother and father-in-law, but at the same time get my point across.
