Prepayment funds collected in 2013, goods delivered in 2014 - what to do with taxes?
I recently helped launch a company that was funded via Kickstarter. The campaign ended and the funds were collected towards the end of 2013, however the goods were not delivered to the customers until early 2014.
Do I file the prepayment funds collected on my taxes for 2013 or should they be filed in 2014 when the goods were delivered? Do I have the option to choose what tax year I want to apply the funds (originally collected as prepayment)?
Thanks in advance for your help!

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoMy 2000 Chevy Impala headlights are stuck on high beam. Any suggestions?
My 2000 Chevy Impala headlights are stuck on high beam. I was driving around on a quite, dark road last night and turned my high beams on to see better. When I got back onto the main street, I went to flick my high beams off and nothing happened. I tried fiddling around with the turn signal bar, which is what I have to click/pull back to turn high beams on, and nothing seemed to work. In the past there has been a click when turning the high beams on/off but there is no longer that noise.
I have tried looking around online but I can't find any reasonable advice to either completely fix the issue or temporarily fix it to provide relief to the other drivers when driving down the road until I can get it repaired over the weekend.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Andy

5 AnswersChevrolet8 years agoIs Case2Case.net a safe/legit site?
I have researched the web and can't find anything that would say that the site is sketchy. It has been in operation for over 2 years and I only found a couple of complaints about unfulfilled orders, which if I based my online shopping experience off that alone then I would never buy anything online from anyone.
Any suggestions or tips to research if www.Case2Case.net is legit or not that would be greatly appreciated!

I accidentally left my hard boiled eggs out over night and was wondering how long they last before going bad.
My house is chilly at night, not as cold as the fridge, but still chilly so I am hoping they are still good to consume.
Thanks!

I recently added a new IMAP account to my MacMail but am having trouble getting the account to send out emails.
I have the ability to receive the emails but cannot respond to them.
At first, I was getting an error message everytime I tried to send an email saying the outgoing server was not setup properly. I have now fixed that issue but am still not able to send any emails. Now,
when I click SEND the email disappears like it was sent but the recipient never receives it and the SENT COPY does not appear in my Sent folder.
Do you have any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance

I'm thinking about getting a Magic Jack, just the regular one- not the Magic Jack PLUS, as a result of having poor cell phone reception in my house, thank you AT&T!
I have a Mac Book Pro laptop and am wondering if the Magic Jack would work with this computer. I have looked around and found various answers, some saying yes and some saying no. My Mac's system is version 10.6.8 with a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo process.

1 AnswerSearch Engine Optimization9 years agoFinding companies to advertise on your own websites?
Hey everyone,
How do I get in contact with companies regarding the possibility of having their firm advertised on my website?
I am getting tired of using Google AdSense for my websites and feel like the collection of sites are large enough and popular enough to interest large companies about potentially advertising on my sites. My sites draw 3 million unique visitors a month and 20 million total page views a month. The sites also have their own unique Facebook pages which total over 730,000 fans.
70% of our websites' visitors are males and the most popular age bracket is 18-24 years old. The average duration for a unique visitor is 2 1/2 minutes and the bounce rate is 42%, which I believe is generally low. With those demographics, I am thinking of contacting companies that the average 18-24 male would be interested in such as beer, energy drinks, music, soda, cigarettes, video game studios, movie studios, and other similar companies.
If you have any suggestions as to how I could come in contact with these potential advertisers on my sites, they would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance
1 AnswerSearch Engine Optimization9 years agoMy Chevy Impala LS A/C is not blowing inside the cabin (99% of the time)?
hey guys and girls,
recently, 99% of the time my AC is my 2000 Chevy Impala LS has not been blowing inside the cabin. randomly I will notice that it is working for a minute or two but I have yet to notice any sort of pattern for when it does work. any idea what it could be?
when i put my hand up to the vents, i can feel cool air leaking out but there is no power behind it at all regardless of what stage i put the AC power (1-5). same thing also when the heater is turned on, i feel the warm out leaking out slowly.
also, probably 6 months ago stage 5 for my AC fan power (5 is the highest/strongest) stopped working. 1-4 would work fine but when i cranked it all the way up to 5 it would just shut off. i probably should have got it checked out then but since i live in a relatively cool place with temperatures being moderate, there was rarely a need to have the AC turned up to 5.
any tips or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
1 AnswerChevrolet9 years agoeBay buyer asking for refund despite item being 100% new and item description 100% true...?
Hello there,
This is a first for me: a buyer I recently sold an iPhone to is now asking for a full refund after about a week despite the item being 100% new/unused and the item description being 100% true when saying that only a wall charger and USB cable were to be included with the phone. They are claiming major disappointment by the fact that the box and ear buds were not included but I did clearly state that they were not included in this particular auction.
Am I responsible to issue the refund? The buyer has no problem what so ever with the phone itself which is what i find the most surprising about asking for a refund.
Thanks in advance
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance9 years agoSold iPhone on eBay and now buyer wants a refund because he/she did not fully pay attention to the description?
Hey guys, while reading this please consider the following question: Do I have any obligation to give a refund to a buyer despite there being absolutely no issue with the phone and the item description was 100% true? The reason they are asking for a refund is because they thought an iPhone box and earphones were going to come with the iPhone.
So recently I sold an iPhone on eBay and since then it has only been a hassle for me. I shipped the item out after receiving the cleared payment and ever since then the buyer has been trying to talk me into giving him/her a refund for no clear reason. At first, they claimed that the phone was not new because the people at the Apple store said I bought it in July 2010 when actually that is when I signed up for my 2 year contract with AT&T (the fact they found that out sketches me out but that is a whole different story). After I explained to them that this was not the case and that I just received the phone via swap at an Apple store a week before and had proof it was new because the plastic protective covers that come with it out of the box were still on it, he/she then proceeded to bring up another completely separate issue.
They then asked for a refund because the auction did not include the box or ear phones that come with the iPhones. At first they asked for me to ship them the box and ear buds but after reminding them that the item description clearly stated that only the wall charger and USB cord were included, they then asked for a full refund. My defense is that in the item description I clearly state that the iPhone comes only with the wall adapter and USB cord. Here is the actual item description:
"I have a brand new black iPhone 4 16GB for sale for use with the AT&T network. I have had it in my possession for a couple of days, picked it up at 1 PM PST on May 14th from an Apple Store as a swap.
The back plastic cover is still on the phone and the phone has never been setup or used at all. Includes only a wall adapter and a USB cord. There are no scratches, dings or any imperfections. The phone has sat on my shelf since the day I picked it up (less than a week).
Priority Shipping includes insurance.
I can provide more photos if you would like, simply message me with an email address you would like me to send the photos to.
Have a great day!"
I am wondering, do I have any obligation to give the refund despite there being absolutely no issue with the phone and the item description was 100% true? I feel like I have the upper hand here because I clearly stated the item to the best of my ability and don't feel like I tried to deceive buyers by hiding information.
Thanks in advance for your help

4 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoHome remedies to kill odors and other bad smells in a small room?
Hi there,
I am currently living in a dorm situation and am sharing a small room with a roommate who does not seem to care about hygiene in the slightest. Always wears the same clothes and rarely washes them which leads to our room smelling pretty poorly. I am looking for some suggestions on how to get rid of, or at least mask the smell that I have to deal with.
I have heard that baking soda is good for odors. Anything else?
Thanks!!

5 AnswersUnited States10 years agoWhat could cause a 2000 Chevy Impala to die when idling (at a stop or rolling up to stop sign)?
Started dying on me about 2 weeks ago when I would be idling at a stop sign or in traffic or when rolling up to a light or stop sign (foot completely off the gas). Originally after the car died it would start up fine and would run for a little while longer before dying again. But lately, after the dying the car is harder to start up again. I usually have to give it some gas while starting to turn on and will have to rev the engine for a few seconds to prevent it from dying.
Took it to a local shop and the first repair was to replace the spark plugs and wires, which sounded good because the car is over 100,000 miles and needed to be done anyways. The guy said it should be good to go. Not even 5 minutes from the shop the car started dying again. I brought it back and this time he replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the idle air control valve senor. These repaired seemed to do the job but about 4 or 5 days later it died again.
I have talked to a couple friends and mechanics and they all seem to concur that it is an idling issue, but are not exactly sure. Do you have any ideas? Any suggestion will be greatly considered and hopefully be the one to fix it. Thanks!!!
