Hi, I'm André. Everyone has flaws, and I've realized I am no exception. So yeah.

  • Is this skin cancer/basal cell carcinoma?

Last summer (about 8 or 9 months ago) I would go to the pool frequently, to swim and to tan.

That was the time I also got my first sunburn.

I didn't think anything about my sunburn at first, all I knew is that it hurt and it would get better.

Then, I began to have a scab near my neck, at the top of my back.

I would pick at it and it would bleed, but it still didn't bother me.

I figured it would eventually go away..

It's been about 8 or 9 months now and I still see this huge mark/sore on my back.

It doesn't bleed anymore, but I'm concerned.

I looked it up on Google and the only thing that seems at least a little similar to my condition is basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer.

Google said that basal cell carcinoma can still look slightly like normal skin, or that it could appear as a sore that just wouldn't go away.

I'm very scared.. my family doesn't really have the insurance to pay for cancer treatment.

I'm enclosing pictures so if anyone can help and confirm if my suspicions are true or not.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and help.

  • Why does it seem like I do everything wrong?

I used to be really good friends with someone, but things happened between us, and now we're extremely distant. I feel she's happier now, and I want things to be good for her, because I would rather she be happy and not be my friend than not to be happy at all.

I try to refrain from repeating my mistakes as much as possible, but today me and two of my other friends got into an argument. I thought that one friend was lying to me, and since I was informed by another friend that this might be going on, the friend I accused of lying to me cut off ties with my other friend.

I'm so sorry for the confusion and vagueness, but I'd appreciate any advice you guys could give me.

Is it my fault for saying the wrong things at the wrong time, or am I just unlucky?

  • Why don't we have field trips anymore?

I asked my science teacher, and she told us that whenever we made the switch to middle school, all the luxuries of younger grades were gone (i.e., recess, field trips).

Is this the same for you other people?

  • Will a new partition damage my Windows XP partition?

Right now I'm downloading the Windows 7 Beta, and I want to create a new partition.

What program can I use to create a partition, and if I do install Windows 7 on my XP Machine, will it damage my XP Partition?

    Btw, I'm using 32-bit (:

  • So, I got an iPod touch for Christmas..?

Okay, so for Christmas I got an iPod touch.

When I turned it on, it was working fine, so I synced it to my computer via USB, and after syncing a few songs, it told me it 'couldn't read the drive' and couldn't copy to it.

So I unplugged it, and plugged it back in.

This kept on happening, so I decided to unplug it and replug it everytime this occured, and eventually I had all my songs on there.

I was then prompted to update to iPod Software 2.2.

    Oh joy.

I updated, and my iPod touch got to the screen where it has the Apple logo and a status bar, when iTunes tells me it has to restore the iPod back to factory settings.

    That's wonderful.

So, I attempt to do that, and it stops due to an 'unknown error' [Errors 7, 8, 14].

My sister manages to get it working by using my sister's computer, and the next day it's wonderful.

I go back to my computer to charge it, and it works. I get a few videos on there, and it complys. The 'cannot read the drive' thing popped up again a few times, but I got through it, even got a couple apps on it.

Then.. it says that iTunes can't read the contents of the iPod, and I have to reset it to factory settings.

We've been working on this (total) for about 2 days.

I've already taken back the iPod touch for a full refund, thinking it was just that model, but after reading a couple of forums, some people had the same troubles as me.

Should I get another iPod touch and see how things work out with that, or what?
