  • As an already anemic vegan, do I need to take iron supplements?

When I first went vegan about 2 years ago, my mom insisted I start taking iron supplements (a vegan brand). Her reasoning is that just about every female in our family is anemic and based on my body-type, there was a good chance I was too. However, I was really lazy about taking them every single day, like they suggest, and after a few months, I started to notice that if I went longer than a day without taking my iron supplement, I would be more tired. Not completely unfunctional or anything, but noticeably tired.

Do you think that I should continue to take my iron supplement? As a vegan, do you take any supplements?

Oh, and just as an added note, I know that spinach is particularly high in iron, but I'm not really a fan of spinach, so yeah.

  • I had one period my whole life, and it was almost five months ago?

So I'm a fifteen year old girl and I've only had one period my entire life. And that was... almost 5 months ago.

It lasted for like two weeks. I didn't have any cramps or headaches. I was extremely tired, the whole time. It ended at the end of August (about 4 and a half months ago)

Since then, I haven't had another. I started running cross country about a month after it ended and ran about 15 miles a week, at the very least. Since the season's ended, I ran about the same, but since it got cold about a month ago, it's down to like 8 miles a week. I've lost about 5 pounds, the majority of it body fat, and have added more muscle.

In case it's important, I'm 5'4, 102-3 pounds, and have been a vegan for about 2 years, but I'm on iron and calcium supplements.

Oh! And I probably should've added this at the beginning, but I am NOT pregnant. I am still an absolute virgin. Definitely not the cause here.

  • Ok, so my iPhone won't unlock?

Yeah, so I was taking the cover off the other day because the cover broke, and when I did so, it slipped onto the floor. I don't think it hit hard, and part of it even hit a rug. I was in a rush so I just put it in my pocket and went on. Later, I tried to check a text messages and I couldn't unlock. I didn't know what to do, so I just left it until I could spend more time checking it out. Later, I turned the phone off and turned it back on. Still nothing. I connected it to iTunes and synced it, and it unlocked! But only for a little bit. Then I 'Restored' it back to factory settings, but still nothing.

I don't know what happened. I can still play music, though I noticed I can't slide the volume, and the unlock thing does that weird twitch, but it doesn't unlock.

PLEASE somebody tell me how to fix it. I may have to get a new phone, and then my step dad would be angry. So, pretty please with a cherry on top, tell me how to fix it. Oh and if you could make it the technologically unaware edition, that'd be great.

  • I swear, I don't have a low self-esteem, but I really want y'alls opinion on me?

Okay. So, like I said, I don't have a low self-esteem. It's just, it's been awhile since I've been asked out, and I'm curious as to what people think of me.

I'm confident, but no conceited. I'm intelligent, but not a know-it-all. I'm tall, but not taller than most guys. I'm innocent, but not a prude. I'm outgoing, but not annoyingly so. I'm thin, but no anorexic. I'm curvy, but not a double-D. I'm a vegan, but not in your face. I really can't think of any terrible personality flaws that would be instant turnoffs. I mean, I know I'm not perfect, but I can't think of anything that would instantly make guys not want to ask me out. I just can't figure it out.

Please, don't be obnoxious. I'm not fishing for compliments, I just want an honest opinion. And don't be rude either, please.

    Do you want a picture?

Oh, and I'm 14 years old and a freshman in high school.

  • How do I move a PowerPoint onto a USB outlet thing?

Okay, so I did a PowerPoint for school, but I did it at home. I can't figure out how to put the PowerPoint onto the USB thing I have. I thought I did it earlier, by just moving the PP from my desktop to the USB, but when I went to school and plugged it in, it didn't show up. My step-dad said I had to do something about 'Save As', but I didn't really understand his instructions and he's not here now.

Oh, and my home computer is a PC and the ones at school are a Mac, if that even makes a difference.

Please, make very simple explanations, because I have no idea how to work this type of stuff xD

  • Is being a vegan a good choice?

I've been a vegetarian for a year, and a vegan for the past month. I feel that I am dead right about the moral reasons for being vegan/vegetarian, but I am a bit concerned about health. I haven't had any repercussions for being either vegan or vegetarian, but my mom is worried that I won't get the right nutrients. I want to stay vegan, and I'm pretty sure it'd be impossible for me to stop at this point, so I was hoping to either how my mom is wrong, or how I can get a few of those trickier vitamins in :)

Any stories you have on how vegan is working out for you would be great to :)

Please don't say anything along the lines of 'Go meat! Vegetarians suck.' I don't wanna have a riot on my hands.

  • Need some help on being vegan?

Ok, so I've recently become vegan... I guess technically it would be called strict vegetarian, because I haven't really been able to switch out all my cosmetics and such for vegan ones. I hope to be doing that very very soon though, so I would like some advice on some advice on some good vegan cosmetic, hair product, and etc brands :) Also, some secret foods to avoid. I mean, some foods it's obvious they have animal products in them, but others take you by surprise, so I need a bit of help :)

  • What should the loser of a bet do?

Ok, so my friend and I are trying to set up a bet, which we don't know what it'll be yet, and we can't think of good punishment for the loser... We're both vegetarians, and we both refuse to eat meat as a punishment, because we're punishing ourselves, not the poor animals. So, any good ideas? 10 points for best answer :)

  • Does GoodSkin skin cleanser work?

Ok so I just got this new face cleaner. It's called good skin. I got the good start kit. it has 4 steps. all right medicated cleanser, all right purifying toner, all right oil-free lotion, and all right spot treatment. What I want to know is if anybody has used this, and if so, how it's worked for them. I know it doesn't work the same for everybody, but I want to know previous accounts.

  • Idea for plucking eyebrows?

Ok so I have this idea. My mom says that when you run hot water on your face, it opens up your pores. I think it's true. But do you think that applies when plucking your eyebrows? Like if you ran hot water over it, would it make it less painful because the hair would come out easier? Share your thoughts on this idea and any others you may have :D

  • natural or not so much at 13?

Ok so I was just wondering what 13 year old guys prefer. My mom always says guys don't like it when girls look totally fake, but I find it hard to believe that they like girls that don't wear any makeup at all. Like, I mean makeup wise, what do guys prefer? Oh and I want to know what guys my age like, not older guys, that are supposed to be more mature.

  • New to plucking eyebrows?

Ok so I'm thirteen and I've never plucked my eyebrows before. I don't want to do wax because my skin is extremely sensitive to wax(tried once on legs) so any ideas for shape? Tweezers? any of that?
