I'm me.
Who is the most arrogant?
I hear Christians say "There is nothing more arrogant than believing there is nothing higher than one's self."
I always felt that the height of arrogance is believing you are created in the image of a Divine Creator, who created this whole entire universe just for you.
What is your take?

why aren't we also invisible?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat is up with all of this "True (insert religion here)" talk?
Or the "True Atheist" talk.
It seems people are trying to say that either you believe exactly as they do, or you are wrong, and not a "true whatever".
"True Christians" only bathe on Mondays. "True Christians" never eat red food dye. "True atheists" never ever even mention god. "True Hindus" all play the sitar.
What the hell with all of the crazy made up rules over who is truly what?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy in the world do Christian want atheism to be defined as a religion so badly?
What mental deficiencies do they have that they can't understand that it isn't a religion? What makes them have such a strong need for atheism to be classified as a religion? Why can't they tie their own shoes? Why do they keep eating glue?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHas anyone here on R&S ever protested having been reported, and had your question or answer reinstated?
I've had some stuff reported by report monkeys that were in absolutely, no way, an infringement of policy. I hit the "protest button" and submitted my response. Nothing ever came of it.
Has anyone else EVER been successful on R&S? What about in other categories?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoReincarnationists, where do babies' souls come from?
I guess we could have this also as a general question. Where do babies' souls come from??
But, in particular, I was interested in how this relates to reincarnation. If 5000 years ago, people died and were reincarnated into new people, and this has continued on for the last five millennium, where are all the extra souls coming from to adjust for the increase in population? Are the number of Earthly souls finite? Are some people's souls really old, and some brand new? If so, with the explosion in population, most souls on earth (65-70%?) would have to be no more than a hundred years old. What good is the concept of reincarnation over the ages, if most souls are young?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do religions make such a taboo out of sex?
Since the previous poster withdrew his/her question (afraid of the answers, I guess), I pose the opposite one.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoChristians, when god says the sun was created after light and plants, like tomatoes and wheat,?
Do you not see the stupidity in that? Only the Flying Spaghetti Monster claims to have created the sun and light simultaneously, and before the Tomato and Wheat and the other, less holy plants.
You will boil for your sins of worshipping a false god. You will boil for all eternity, or until His Holy Dinner is ready. Repent now, and follow His Noodly Appendage to save yourself from the ever-boiling pot.

All questions and answers seem especially lame and juvenile lately.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIf women incorporated their vaginas, would the conservative christians quit trying to regulate it?
Would Muslims?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAs an atheist, I have read the bible. Can you Christians say that you have read The Origin of Species?
I disagree with the Bible. I don't think it is either moral, nor true. But I have read it. How many creationists have read Charles Darwin's book, On the Origin of Species? Don't you think you should? At least you would be making a more informed decision, to pursue creationism as a belief.
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do Christians make up statistics?
We all know that 86.3% of all christian statistics are totally made up, on the spot.

I'm not normally a "go to this link and tell me" kind of person, but this is some funny stuff, so I made an exception:

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoKenyan lawyer takes State of Israel and Italy to Hague over Jesus' death!!?
So, will you watch this trial carefully??? First, he needs to prove Jesus ever even existed in the first place.
Details:
"A Kenyan lawyer has filed a petition with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, suggesting that the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ was unlawful, and The State of Israel among others should be held responsible, Kenyan news outlet the Nairobian reported on Friday.
Dola Indidis, a lawyer and former spokesman of the Kenyan Judiciary is reportedly attempting to sue Tiberius (Emperor of Rome 42 BC-37AD), Pontius Pilate, a selection of Jewish elders, King Herod, the Republic of Italy and the State of Israel.
"Evidence today is on record in the bible, and you cannot discredit the bible," Indidis told Kenyan Citizen News.
Yes, those he suggests should have been convicted during the original trial have not been alive for more than 2000 years, however Indidis insists that the government for whom they acted can and should still be held responsible."

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat is up with my Christian neighbor?
When my neighbors moved in (he is a church pastor), we made them a pie, and were very nice to them. They never said so much as a thank-you. Recently, with all of the rain, our yard and his yards have been pretty much flooded. I spoke to him the other day about how I was putting in a French drain to relieve some of the water issues, and that he was welcome to tie into it with his downspouts. He looked at me dumbfounded like he hadn't the foggiest clue what I was talking about. So I hooked his downspouts into it for him. Digging trenches, buying pipe, laying gravel. A week has passed, and not a single word from the man. No thank-you, no how-de-doo, no fu€k-you a$$hole . . . Nothing.
Why is he such a Christian di€khead? Wouldn't Jesus tell him to be polite to his neighbor?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAssuming the bible is a true accounting of god, why would he?
Kill so many people (about 2.4 million that are listed - not even including the huge genocides like plagues, Sodom, Gomorrah, and The Flood totaling approximately 44 million people killed by god) in his early days, then turn around and be a mostly peaceful god through the teachings of his son, Jesus? Why the huge change of personality? Where did the evil god of the Old Testament go when it was time for the New Testament?
TheBible makes little sense to begin with, but how can Christians reconcile this schizophrenic god issue, and still consider both texts to be accurate and written about the same god?
