Could my boyfriend be an emotional abuser?
My boyfriend teases me everyday saying that I am not able to do things right, about the fact that I am 11 years older then him etc...last week he told a guy in front of me how I suck because I always make mistakes by driving- I am still learning to drive- and that he screams with me and loses patience, that it is a pity that he is the only driver when we go somewhere. I felt embaraced and did not say anything. The guy is not a friend of us. I told him that it hurts me when he complains about me to others and I am present. He said I should not take it serious because what he said is more about how he is as a person and less about me. I still wanted to discuss with him what happened and he said he is not in the mood to talk further. What do you think about this?

One of my girlfriends likes a guy who always avoids to look at her, often when she wears a femine or sexy dress. Unfortunately he has a girlfriend. He is also christian.

I have a friend whose bf makes all the time jokes about her body and her age because she is some years older than him. The jokes are made in a friendly way but i think that is not appropriate way to talk to a girlfriend. So for example he calls her fat, says she would not get a younger man if she wanted , that she looked better when they first met and then he laughts. The guy had only a girlfriend before my friend and had never sex with the first girlfriend. What do you think.
She already told him that dies not like this kind of jokes but seems not to understand.
1 AnswerPsychology7 years agoAttracting the same kind of people or life sends you copies from your parents? Is it destiny?
Do you have any theories why some people keep attracting the same type of people as for example dominat needy, emotional abusers etc... as friends and partners. If your parents had this traits life seems to send you similar personalities that you encounter by accident at some party or as a work collegue. It seens like a curse, life sends exactly this people to you or maybe destiny. Another example is that people that start therapy because lets say due to sexual abuse, find a therapist that is a sexual abuser. This cannot be coincidence! The guy that starts the therapy does not know what type of person (therapist) he had in front of him.

2 AnswersMythology & Folklore7 years agoWhat experiences do you have with your therapist?
A work collegue told me yesterday that therapists are not to trust. The last he visited told him he should look at the mental disorder book and find out what kind of disorder he has. He said he was talking about about the perception of a relationship and she made this comment. Was she angry? I don't think this is appropriate. What are your experiences?

6 AnswersMythology & Folklore7 years agoHow to know if a person is a truly friend?
There are a lot of people out there that only become friends with you because you have something that you don t have as for example, money, confidence or because you can serve as a good company or you are very successful in your job. How can you recognize such people. A friend of mine says friendships only happen because of some external interest as the above mentioned. What do you think about this?
