Estimate monthly heating bill?
I'm wondering if anyone knows approximately what it would cost to heat a 600 sq. foot condo in a brick building per month? It has forced air heating AND electric baseboards.
1 AnswerOther - Home & Garden7 years agoHome inspection in short sale question?
I was told by a realtor that I, as a buyer, can ONLY have the home inspection done before getting the bank's approval of my offer. The realtor said that this makes short sales risky as I would lose all the money I put into a home inspection if the bank rejects my offer.
Is this true? Or, can I conduct a home inspection after the bank's approval of my offer? Other options?
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate9 years agoIs Kentucky a good place to invest in real estate? Best states to invest?
I may be spending a minimum of two years in Kentucky and wonder if I should rent or try to buy a condo or home while there. Obviously owning is better than renting but I don't want to be stuck with a place if I decide to leave after two years. So, my question: is Kentucky a good place to invest in real estate? I'm looking in and around the Lexington area.
Also, out of curiosity, does anyone have a link to an article or know of the best states in the US to invest in real estate?
2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoIs there life at the bottom of the ocean?
I don't know how to word this but do you think there are creatures that live in the deepest parts of the ocean, so far that we can't even send equipment down to find out? If so, what do they look like? What are they like?
4 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoWhy is it good to hustle?
I've always been a huge advocate for hustling (trying extremely hard and never giving up) in sports. I'm not the most gifted athlete and have made up for a lot of that by my strong work ethic and competitive drive.
I'm trying to help out a teammate on my college tennis team who has all the talent in the world but lacks that same competitive drive and spirit. I've been mentoring him but I need some more words of advice to convince him that hustling and putting in 100% of his effort will help out.
So, why is hustling good? Why should you always put forth your maximum effort in sports?
3 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoHow bad is the traffic driving into Washington D.C.?
I'm from Boston and I'm going to move to the DC/Maryland area for graduate school. It's really easy driving into Boston from the suburbs at certain times (anytime after 9pm for example) and I know NYC can be brutal driving into. So, how does DC compare to Boston and NYC? What are the best times to avoid lots of traffic?
4 AnswersCommuting1 decade agoShould I be a teacher or guidance counselor?
I am planning on going to graduate school for education. I've worked in a pre-school and a 2nd grade classroom and connect really well with younger kids and there aren't many male elementary teachers so I think that would be valuable to the students. I also work really well in one-on-one situations with the kids and think being a guidance counselor would be a good use of my skills and something I've always been interested in. Should I become an elementary school teacher or a middle school guidance counselor?
