Do you know the name of this movie?
I woke up at 5am cst and caught the end of it. It looked to be from the 60's or 70's maybe.
A Mexican boy of about 10 years old was talking to a priest who was fixing metal chairs. The boy says he is going to leave because he doesn't want to be a teacher, he wants to be a doctor. After some conversation, the priest agrees and the boy leaves and meets up with a girl. SHe was sad because he was leaving but he says he will stay. They show the 2 holding hands and then it fades to 6 years later when they get married.
I was starting to doze off again, but I remember the boy is now 16 or so (and seems to now be played by a middle aged white man) has to leave to go to University. His wife is staying there to do her year of service with the church. He leaves and now it is 10 years later (it's all narrated by the priest). The boy, who is now a man, is back and it's Christmas eve. His wife had died years ago, as had his son, and he was going through a rough time (he didn't even relize it was Christmas). The priest was looking pretty old by now, and the movie ended shortly after the showed all the kids in town having a candlelight walk for Christmas.
I don't even know if it is a movie, I old say this last 20 minutes or so and I was half asleep and falling asleep. Anyone have an idea of what it is?
I checked the listings in my area. I think it was on channel 6 (with no cable box) which is some sort of religion channel, but I could not find any movie title.
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoWhat should video games be called to get away from the 'just for kids' stigma?
Video games are no longer just for kids, and perhaps renaming them would help open a few eyes. Like 'Comics' became 'Graphic Novels', what should 'Video Games' be called?
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhy can't I hear xbox sound effects on my stereo?
I can hear them when the TV speakers are on, but when I just use my stereo I can't hear the sound effects (like when someone logs in BLEEP or when I go up and down menus CLICK). It is hooked up through HDMI and I have digital out from TV to stereo (spif). Game sounds are all good, but when I get an achievement the BLEEP is not heard.
This also happens with my PS3. The menu sounds are not there but playing DVDs, videos and games work just fine.
It's a new TV and stereo, and I have looked through the menus and settings. Any suggestions?
4 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoCan I plug a new 4 port router into my current 4 port router, giving me 7 ports to use?
I want to get a PS3 and build a new PC but my router is only set up for 4 device. I already have 2 computers, an xbox and a network drive so I have no room for 2 more devices ( this isn’t even including the wireless devices ). I want to get another router and it appears I will save some money if I can just get another 4 port router to plug into my current one. Any info would be appreciated.

1 AnswerComputer Networking1 decade agoWhat is the name of this movie? ?
The end of the world is coming, although they never say how. Everyone knows about it and the movie shows the different ways people deal with it. One guy who worked at a utility company spends most of his time calling customers to tell them 'Thanks for your business'. The movie ends with the world ending.

1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoWhat was the cartoon where the characters had holographic animals on their chests?
They could change in to the animal that was on their chest and they carried large staffs that each had a unique power. When a particulair rhyme was said (each character had a different one), the staff would activate. The staffs each had only 1 charge, but they could be recharged by a wizard, the one who gave them all their 'powers'.
Oh, and it took place on a world that was struck by a meteor which made all technology cease to work. The only machines that worked were for two of the charatcers (one good, one bad) and they were vehicles that only they could drive.

I have the Nokia 5300 through T-Mobile and I want to upgrade to a new phone. I like the options on the 5300, but it takes forever to update the playlist and I can only fast forward 5 seconds at a time. I have a 4 gig Micro SD card that I would like to use in it as well (will not work on my Nokia 5300!). Any suggestions?

7 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhat was the name of the movie about a 'hippie' guy who is drafted and teaches meditation to other soilders.
It is from the 60s or 70s. He gets drafted and gets in trouble for not conforming. He meditates to get through punishment, and teaches the other soilders in basic training how to meditate and stuff. At the end he goes AWOL, but his Sgt. goes out and finds him and convinces him to come back and finish basic and "graduate". He comes back but the evil Col. who hates him ends up flunking him and making him do basic all over again, which makes the guy just go AWOL for real.
4 AnswersMovies1 decade agoIf the center of our galaxy is a black hole, does that mean we can never go to another galaxy?
If we are past the event horizon, which we probably are (our galaxy just isn't that big), then we can never escape the gravitational force of the black hole. It seems logical that not only can we never leave our galaxy, but signals sent out will never leave, and no one outside our galaxy would ever see us. Even light gets sucked into a black hole.
