  • Should I pull my daughter out of cheerleading?

My 10 year old cheers for a national organization. She is a small build and she was a flyer last year but did not enjoy that so she requested that she not fly this year. Her coach honored her request but put her in as a base with a new girl who has never been flyer in the past. The flyer has poor technique and constantly kicks my daughter in the face, head and chest. My daughter hates being her base and I have requested that her coach change the stunt groups around. She says they are limited with what they can do due to size of team vs. girls and we are 2 weeks out from state competitions. I think it would be complicated to change things at this point but do feel it is my obligation to we that my daughter is not being kicked at every practice/event. Her injuries have been minor at this point, but I am concerned as any mother would be, that the future could hold more serious injuries. I forgot to mention that I am " assistant coach" but honestly th shear coach of the team really takes it all on by choice, especially choreographing routines. So I'm not sure what to do at this point. With the head coach being so resistant to change it up so my daughter feels safer and happier should I pull my daughter? I feel like she would really be letting her team down. She goes to school with a lot of the girls and is good friends with the coaches daughters. I have even suggested some changes to stunt groups that could potentially work better bu to no avail. Thoughts?

  • Emu Boot sizing? Mens vs Womens?

I wear a womans size 9 shoe. I recently purchased a pair of Emu "Bronte" style boots online and it was recommended to order a size down then normal. So I ordered a size 8 have only worn them around the house for the last day and a half and they have noticeably stretched. Almost too big... So, I decided to order a different pair of the lower ones but in a different style (called "Stinger") in a mens size 8 from Amazon because they were very reasonable. There were so many varying reviews on the sizing of this style. Now I am concerned that they too will be too big. Does anyone have experience with the Men's Stinger style low Emu boot? I am a woman but I saved so much money ordering the mens size!

  • Dealing with difficult sister?

My sister, who is 20 years younger then me, is completely out of place when she speaks to me and others. She insults me and is condescending. My parents have never done a thing to put her in line and now she and I are not on speaking terms. I just can't stand the person she has turned out to be. She uses people and is open about doing so. She comes to my home and is rude to my husband. My parents are trying to urge me to make amends with her but I am not ready and feel very certain and it will be a long time, if ever, that I let her back into my life. Does anyone else have a difficult sibling who you cannot be around anymore? Note: She goes to college an hour from me. My parents live across the country. My parents think I should be there for her support more frequently but I have 2 kids and a husband and am involved extensively in my community.

  • Taking legal action on sister?

My great Uncle passed away years ago and left all of his neices and nephews the same amount of money. At the time, my youngest sister was still a minor and there was leftover money in the estate. An attorney was automatically hired on her behalf to seek a portion of the overflow money that was not designated to anyone. As a result she was awarded more then the rest of the nieces and nephews and an agreement was made between our parents and the other nieces and nephews parents that when she became of legal age that she would need to divide that overflow money evenly between all of us.

She is legal and in possession of the money now and is aware that she needs to divide and pay out the money but will not do so. I do have an e mail stating this agreement and was wondering if I have a case to make with her. If so, what jurisdiction do I file in, the place where the agreement was made or her current place of residence?

Thank you! Its a bit confusing, I know...

  • Very low dose combination pill recommendations?

I am trying to decide on a very low dose birth control pill. I am 39 with 2 children and currently use a progestin only pill which causes my period to come too frequently. I am looking for something with low side effects and that will regulate my period better as well as protecting me from pregnancy. It would be nice to find something that could make my PMS better and periods lighter and shorter. Can anybody recommend something in the "very low dose" category that they have experience with?

  • Dying died hair a lighter shade?

I will be coloring my hair wit a medium brown shade using a 30% developer. My question is, since I already have a dark brown color in my hair, should I start at the ends before doing the roots with the medium brown. I have noticed that the roots (or the virgin hair) tend to take faster then the died ends. How can I make the color look even?

  • My father threatened suicide tonight!!!?

My father has been through a lot lately, including a very emotional, messy divorce. He threatened suicide tonight. I live across the country, and none of my other brothers and sisters live near him. My father is very insulting to all of his children and has tried to be very controlling in the past and has driven his children away. Now he really wishes we were closer but we have all started our lives in other places (plus he is even more insulting to us!) He has a live in girlfriend who he is quite fond of but he still seems eternally unhappy. I am scared that he might actually follow through with his threats one of these days. I have urged him to seek counseling but he doesn't want to. Is there anything I can/should do?

  • Good, long lasting hair dye?

Can anyone recommend a good hair dye that will cover my few greys for more then 3 weeks? Also, something that might lighten my overall hair color (which is dark brown now) to a lighter brown with some highlights. My hair is long so i don't want to use the pull through highlighting cap and the brush on...well lets just say I never do it right!! I don't want to spend a fortune on having it colored and highlighted in a salon. What should I do? Has anyone used the Loreal Experte line that is on the stores? What was your experience like?
