Ok i have an obscure one for you.

I think it was made in the 1940's, black and white.

It featured this blonde girl who fell in love with the man who lived upstairs or down the hall or something. I believe he played a musical instrument, a piano perhaps.

She moves away for some reason and marries a rich man. She lives for years with him and had a son. One scene in particular was when she and her husband go to the opera, she wore a white fluffy coat and sat and talked with her son before leaving. I think she then leaves to meet the man she fell in love with as a child.

My memory is really fuzzy but i really enjoyed watching this movie and want to see it again.

There was a scene where all the children were outside beating rugs, and she worked in a clothes store as a young woman (i think) where she tried on clothes. I think she modelled them for the customers.

I believe the title was quite long.

I wish i could remember more, i even went on the IMDB page after i watched it but ive forgotten all the info.

Ok, time for a haircut but need help. I was THINKING about getting the sides and back and top cut short...with the fringe left long and spike up the back....

The problem is i cant find any pictures of it to explain what i want...this is as close as i could get but its a little too "extreme" for me.

i work in a factory and i need to have my music...

its a dirty factory so cds would be useless...theyd get scratched..its also a very loud factory so the music has to be extremly loud.

can anyone name a device, or possible search terms for ebay....or any helpful suggestions for:

An fm radio with inputs for speakers (black and red input clips)

smallish

can have cd player or tape...just wont get used

my thought was a car stereo but having to rework all the cabling wouldnt be good....but otherwise it would have been perfect.

my parents are renovating the house, the first thing they did was renovate their bedroom (paint and all) and add an ensuite to their bedroom. next was the kitchen, then they added an extension to the family room. all the while little ol me is downstairs in a excrement hole. i have ripped and torn carpet from the 70's. filthy 20yo curtains, my room was made smaller for them to change the staircase (doesnt worry me) so i have exposed drywall, hasnt even been patched and sanded. my other walls are just filthy blonde bricks. ANYWAY ive had enough, its like theve forgotten me, tomorrow ill be moving all my furniture outside and doing the prep work so they have 2 reno my room next. i need design tips, im thinking of going with white walls, black bedspread with black accessories and stainless steel lamps/ accessories as well but it seems a little bland. how can i spice it up a bit? id like to keep it within budget (id be payin for all accessories) but i am able 2 splurge on a few things

i need ways to keep my dog away from a gate. permanent fencing is not an option as we dont have the money, nor do we want to ruin the look of our backyard. we thought about elctric containment systems but i dont think there legal in australia. what are some other ways to keep my dog away from this gate!!! nearly everytime its opened (for all of 1 minute) he runs out. and dont say we never take him for walks before he gets walked every day. thanks for any input from people!

i found it disturbing that my vet IMMEDIETLY advised amputation after literally 10 seconds of inspection. my dog is very furry so that would make it harder. the area did look a little bruised and blood could be seen (NOT pouring out, at the end of the tail) but it had no obvious kinks in it. why didnt my vet even SUGGEST an x-ray. he said only to amputate, he even booked us in after a TOTAL of 3 minutes of inspection (including injecting pain killers, antibiotic and weighing him)

the vet drives a brand new x5 (new model) so maybe hes looking for money?

what else could of happened? bruised muscles, could a splint help in fixing a dislocation, break? or is amputation the ONLY way to go?

th vet also took my dog away from me for the night, is this normal? why couldnt we drop him back the next morning? did he NOT want us to inspect the tail?

i dont intend on fixing this myself, but i dont want my baby to lose his tail if he doesnt have to!!

my mother just ran over our small white dog, hes blind so he darts around, doesnt really know where everything is (he sort of does) he didnt die but his tail was bleeding. we took him directly to the vet, he inspected it for 10 seconds and advised amputation, he said it was bruised most of the way. hes very furry so i had a hard time wondering wether it was actually broken which of course would almost guarentee amputation. or merely bruised. why would he jump to amputation so quickly? it was only bleeding from the tip....my dog is 8 years old, how will he react to having no tail, will it make him *depressed* after having a tail for 8 years?

i wear elastics at the moment and they suck, there so darn painful, and there giving me a clicky jaw on one side. im only wearing them at night because they hurt so darn much, its not really hurting pain, just annoying pain, i have lots of things to do, i dont need this pain, its distracting. they need to develop another way to do it rather than elastics. will wearing them only at night harm how long i have braces?

hi, my little maltese cross terrier is a blind little fellow, so when it comes to bath time its a REAL struggle, he wont let you near his feet or his mouth, eye area. he wont bite, just whip the paw away but if u keep trying he will bite in the end. how can i restrain him without getting a metal bar and bashing him across the head?

second question.....he's white, but at the moment hes a very light murky white/brown. what can i use to make the white fur whiter? homemade recipes would be excellent.

my grey seats have become a dark grimy grey....water and baking soda have no effect. what do people use to clean there leather couches, seats etc?

i dont want to use baby wipes as ive heard they really bad.

ive just used some cif (jif in australia, no NOT the peanut butter) on an inconspicious part of my leather seats and it seems to have worked EXTREMLY well. all that was on the paper towel was dark brown dirt. is this good for it or will it be removing the natural oils?? too abrasive?? would it be ok if i used meguirs leather conditioner straight away?

any other cleaning products that will give my leather a deep down clean? baking soda, water, etc dont work

all the connections have been made but when i press the one button nothing shows up, the previous stero worked fine. im multimetered the ground and the 12v constant and 12v accessory and there fine. pretty sure its the correct connections but no way to know 100%. when i press the reset button on the cd player the display lights up but when i let go it goes back to black...displaying nothing. anyone with any ideas would be EXCELLENT
