I have a 84 suburban with a 6.2 turbo diesel, and was wondering which brand to go with? i heard felpro are really good with american made engines but also heard that victor reinz makes all the gaskets for the high performance diesel engines in European cars. Or is a gasket just a gasket?

I heard that you can remove a cylinder head in a OHV engine without messing with rocker arms/pushrods, but was told that it is very difficult to put the head back on afterwards? I am replacing a head gasket and am going to take the heads to a machine shop for resurfacing, i'm just a little confused about adjusting the rocker arms when putting the heads back. And no im not attempting this by myself, my friend who is an excellent mechanic is going to help me reassemble the engine, i'm just taking it apart.

I just broke my iphone 3gs, it's still under applecare and to get it replaced i need to pay a $50 deductible. But for $0.99 i can get another 3GS at AT&T by just signing another 2 year contract. Or i can get the Iphone 4 for $99 . So is the insurance really worth if you are a satisfied AT&T customer and don't mind renewing contracts every time your phone breaks?

I have a 96 cadillac deville concours and was wondering if it could be fitted with a supercharger. i know the cadillac xlr has a 4.6 supercharged northstar, just curious as if its the same engine and what kind of set up i would need. My traction control light is constantly on and the button to disable it doesn't work. Is there a fuse or something I can pull out to disable it?

The mass air flow sensor was dirty in my 96 cadillac Deville. So I cleaned it with MAF sensor cleaner and it runs a little smoother but its still not as fast as it used to be. The check engine light still gives me a MAF code also. Could this be a bad MAF sensor ? And how much would a new one cost? Thanks for any help

Hi, I have a 1984 Chevy Suburban that I am fixing up, it has an electrical short somewhere ( I think in the alarm system). So anyways the batteries that were in there were many years old and no good anymore so i bought 1 today and attempted to start it with the aid of my 99 suburban (jump cables connected to 2nd battery). As soon as i connected the batteries the lights flashed on and off as if the alarm had been set off, i don't have the remote to disable it. When i tried to start it, it did not even crank. Is this because the alarm is on? Like an anti-theft feature? If so how can i remove/disable alarm system ? (module under dash, fuse, etc?) Or could it be that i dont have enough amps even with 1 new battery (Duralast Gold 800 Cold Amps) and the boost from 99 Sub? I would think it would at least TRY to start up even with insufficient amperage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
