What's your honest opinion of a hero.?
Can you support it with an argument or reason?
My position is that When people think of others as being a hero or a villain, they are thinking in black and white. What if the "hero" really was a fame-hungry tool who just performed heroic acts for the popularity

1 AnswerLanguages8 years agoWhy dont people vote?
Along with serving on a jury, it may be the most important thing a citizen can do: voting to choose the people who run our courts, schools, towns, counties, states, and nation. So why do a third of Americans fail to vote?
15 AnswersElections9 years agoIf the electoral college elect the president does that mean our votes doesn't count?
So what's the point of voting?
4 AnswersElections9 years agoIs the voter ID law a violation of your right to vote?
Why do we have to show ID!? And so many laws keeping the poor from voting.

1 AnswerOther - Education9 years agoChristian do you belief in witchcraft?
I would like to know if witchcraft is real in our world today. I know that it was real and 'worked' in the new testament times, and I also know that it's listed in Galatians 5:20 as one of the works of the flesh (verses 19 -21). So is witchcraft and Satan worship real today? Does it really 'work' Satanic 'stuff''? Or did it only exist in Biblical times like the apostles power to heal (and other things)? Is anything that concerns witchcraft today all hoaxes? Thanks.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDid God really create everything in six days and in the order listed in Genesis?
The Bible story of creation was written in a way that made sense to the people of thousands of years ago who did not know anything about science. Since then, scientists have discovered some new things about how God created everything. If the story were written today, it might mention galaxies, black holes, the age and vastness of the universe, the solar system, the development of plants and animals, and other scientific discoveries. But, we are still not much closer to understanding the mysteries of God's creation.
I posted this to let the atheists know that I am not ignorant for believing.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIs it IMPOSSIBLE For GOD to EXIST?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoThis question is for Jews, Christians, and Muslims?
Please read details.
We Jews, Christians and Muslims claim to be the true followers of God. We all claim God loves. We all believe the book of Genesis, it's in all of our scriptures, but we all interpret it differently.
Christian belief that Jesus is the son of God. The only way to heaven. And who ever belief in him will not perish but have everlasting life.
The Jews deny that Jesus was ever born but In actuality they both believe in the same God, but the current Jews will deny the Christian God because they still believe that Jesus was not the son of God.
Islam came after Christianity and was founded by Mohammad, who wrote an updated holy book called the Quran. However, Muslims belief that jesus was only a prophet just like Moses, Abraham e.t.c. And not the son of God.
So does this mean that the Muslim and the Jews will not go to heaven because they didn't belief in Jesus according to the bible?
Thank you for your answer.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat is your RELIGION?
For History we are learning about how religion has formed the world and what damage it has done to the world. My questions are:whats your religion/belief? Why is your religion the truth? Does your religion embrace everyone else's believes? what is your stand point on religion?
27 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat religion are you and why is it the correct one?
what religion are you?
What religion were you raised as? Do you agree with all aspects of the religion or not?
Do you only call yourself a * -----religion* because it is the closest thing you found?
Why do you believe the things you believe?
What has been your greatest influence on personal beliefs?
Do you let your religion dictate how you see the world?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat would change if nobody adhered to, believed in, or taught EVOLUTION as the explanation of human origins?
Those who believe/adhere to creationism or theistic evolution or atheistic evolution will often argue about which is the correct explanation of human origins. If the creationists were to win the argument and nobody taught, adhered to, or believed in Evolution anymore as an explanation for human existence, what would change? What would be different in our world? I contend that nothing will change. We'll all still exist on this planet same as before and determining the correct explanation of human origins is irrelevant.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy are atheists even in the Religion section?
Other than gaining knowledge about different religion. Because all they do is judge other religion.
their knowledge of that religion isn't even true, they contradict each other by critisizing another persons believes calling it stupid or ignorant to start a contest.
If this is a false comment how I'm lying.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoSpiritually speaking: is this true about evolution?
Twin fossil find adds twist to human evolution - http://www.nature.com/news/2007/070806/full/070806... - quote - 'Anthropologists have tended to see the evolution of Homo species as a linear progression, beginning with H. habilis and passing through H. erectus before ending up with modern humans. But it seems H. erectus and H. habilis were living in the same place at the same time for as much as half a million years... this makes it less likely that H. erectus was a direct descendant of H. habilis, instead suggesting that there is a common ancestor yet to find.'
So we can now only trace our evolution back 1.5 million years to H.erectus; so where does this leave the story of the evolution of modern humans? So now the very improbable 'linear' evolution of modern humans has been cut off at H.erectus what is the explanation for the evolution of modern humans now that the so-called 'missing link' between us and apes has become an even wider gap?
No I'm NOT implying 'creationism' at all - anyone reading that into the Q has already set their own agenda. Help me understand.
Thank you.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoEvolution is a complicated theory.?
Evolution is a theory.
It seems to me die hard evolutionists have set their agenda and any fossils they find must 'fit' into that chronological mold or it is thrown out.
It is well know that all 'evolutionary'geologic age setting is skewed to fit a preconceived theoretical point of view.
This is why evolution theory is being rejected worldwide....it will soon reach the trash heap of 20 th century religious theories.
Sources:
It is amazing to me that laymen who push evolution theory so vehemently don't even know what most evolutionary scientists have said about the fossil record....
Even Charles Darwin was honest when he confesses in 'Origin of Species'; " But as by THIS THEORY innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we NOT find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?" -Charles Darwin
To the above fact, even the most world renown (evolutionary) biologists agree...." New species almost always appear suddenly in the fossil record with NO intermediate links to ancestors in older rocks in the same region. The fossil record with its abrupt transitions OFFERS NO SUPPORT for gradual change". - Stephen J. Gould (Natural History , June, 1977, p.22)
"The extreme rarity (of transitional forms) in the fossil record persists as the 'trade secret' of palentology. The evolutionary tree (diagarms) that adorn our textbooks is.....NOT the evidence of fossils". - Stephen Gould (Natural History, 1977, vol.86, p.13)
According to Scripture NOTHING evolved but everything was created "AFTER THEIR KIND"....which is directly consistent with the fossil record.
No I'm NOT implying 'creationism' at all - anyone reading that into the Q has already set their own agenda, cos it's not my view.
The thing to remember is that evolution is just a theory, a speculation, an unproven assumption....not a proven fact.
I've done my research and I will appreciate you to do yours before giving absurd comments.
Thank you.
27 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat benefits did evolution bring to mankind?
Just wondering, what benefits did teaching evolution bring to mankind? I mean besides knowing how we got here. (besides the age of things)
The appendix of it is not vestigial. It is part of our immune system. Yes we can live without it, the same way we can live without our arms and legs. The are not necessary for life, but they are not vestigial.
I don't know why people think that if we are similar to something we used to be related. Similarity does not prove anything. Spiderweb and a bridge are similar, but the spiderweb did not evolve into the bridge over millions of years.
I personally dont believe in evolution, I believe that humans were created by god, uhm so if we share common ancestors with apes, what are those ancestors?
And how does rejecting evolution mean that creationists reject all science?
Because creationist rejects evolution doesn't mean they have also reject or ignore every form of science because they all prove evolution. It's not fair to stereotype a whole group of people based on their believes you don't like.

3 AnswersBiology9 years agoEvolution question for atheist?
Assuming that the theory of evolution is true, how is it that apes still exist? Did they choose not to evolve? I am not dismissing the theory just curious as to why they (apes, chimps, etc.) are not extinct, and there is a need to find a missing link that is no long with us. Now, before I get attacked I want to make it clear that I have yet to draw my own conclusion, and I am searching for answers from both sides of the fence (evolution/creation). Atheist/Christian. Thanks.
