3 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoFacebook ad campaign data is not changing?
Yesterday, I created a Sponsored Story on facebook. This morning when I got to work around 8:30, it had been approved, and I had some data in my ad manager.
But that has been over 3 hours now, and none of the data in the ad manager has changed. My "Campaign Reach" and "Social Reach" numbers have been exactly the same all morning. Shouldn't they be changing and increasing all the time as more and more people see the ad? I do not understand this.
My target is just under 50,000 users and my bid is quite a bit higher than the suggested range, so I thought people should be seeing the ad extremely often and this information updating every time I refresh. Or does it just take time to update? If that is the case, I cannot believe it has not updated in 3 hours.
I am no where near my max budget as I have only had one click through so far. Does anyone know what is going on?
2 AnswersFacebook9 years agoHELP! My new dog destroys EVERYTHING!?
I got a new dog about a month ago. I had never owned a dog before so I guess I need some help from someone who knows what to do. When we first got him from the animal shelter, he was much calmer and sort of apathetic. I guess being in the shelter had made him depressed. I have had him for a little over a month now and he has gotten way more spirited and destructive.
I buy him ropes and bones and all kinds of toys for him to chew on, but all he want ever wants to do is go rummaging through my closest and under the beds, looking for my nice things to chew up and destroy! It's driving me crazy. He has probably dragged 6 or 7 pairs of shoes out of my closet and destroyed them, even though he had his own toys all over the living room to play with.
Last night, I was awoken at 5am to a sound in the guest bedroom so I went in there and found that he had pulled a collectible toy out from under the bed (which had been there for months and I honestly forgot about it) and had completely eaten it up. The packaging was chewed to bits and he had dragged it all out everywhere, and the toys themselves were unrecognizable because he had chewed them up so badly. I was absolutely livid.
He has so many things that are his that he can play with but all he ever wants to do is go looking for NEW stuff to destroy. If this continues, I am going to have to take him back to the shelter, because I cannot have him destroying my whole apartment.
Someone please help, I do not know what to do.

22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAre there different types of vehicle registration?
Hi, I am in Kentucky and I was wondering if there were different types, or temporary types of registration for cars. My friend bought a used car at the end of February. At the same time, he got the car registered in his name and paid his fees.
Well today, he got pulled over because the cop said his registration had expired in March! It's only been since February that he got it! Isn't registration supposed to be good for the whole year? Why would his registration have expired only after a month? He thought he was good for the whole year so obviously he had no idea it had already expired back in march. Can anyone explain this to me?

3 AnswersLanguages9 years agoI'm beginning to study Japanese. When should I start learning Japanese characters?
I'm wondering if it is better to begin learning Japanese by using just the romaji, and worry about Hirigana, Katakana and Kanji afterwards, or if I should be studying all the writing systems at once?
I've been studying for a few weeks and I've only been looking at Romaji because I feel like I needed to learn a little about sentence structure and grammar before I got into the Japanese Characters. Is this a good way to start?
5 AnswersLanguages9 years agoHorrible shoulder pain.?
I'm a graphic designer, so I spend my entire work day on the computer. With my right arm mostly in the same position all day, I usually end up getting really awful stabbing pains in my right shoulder. (The left shoulder never hurts at all, despite the fact that both arms are essentially in the same position.)
I was wondering if this could be something like tendonitis. It is a really aching pain that feels like I have needles under my skin.
Also, I'm curious if there are any products to make using a computer for long periods of time more comfortable.
Thanks.
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management9 years agoA business is trying to make me add a logo to my poster, but they didn't pay me....?
I made a poster for a show for my boyfriend's band, and one other band. I did it for free as a favor to my boyfriend. I put a couple of hours of work into it, and everyone really likes the finished product. So far the poster is only available on facebook. There are not yet any printed copies.
Now, however, a local radio station is taking over the facebook event for the show. They have asked me to add their company's logo to the poster.
Well, I am going to refuse to do it. The only reason they asked at all is because the people who run it know I do not like them, and they are only asking to spite me. But the real reason I am refusing is because I created the poster as a favor to my boyfriend, not for the radio station. I didn't even know they were associated with the event when I made the poster to begin with.
And since they have in no way compensated me for creating the poster, I don't believe they have any right to tell me to put their logo on there. Can some legal-savvy person tell me this is correct?
8 AnswersLaw & Ethics10 years agoI really need help with this relationship problem.?
First a little background. Sorry this is going to be a long one, but I really need some advice.
My boyfriend is in his last year of college. He is 24 and has been living with his mother across town to save money. But he has never really felt "at home" in the house. He constantly feels as though everyone looks down on him and doesn't care about him. Recently, his mother broke her leg, so his aunt has been staying at their house to take care of her. Unfortunately, his aunt is a drug addict. His mom asked him to hide her pain medications in his room so that the aunt wouldn't steal them. But he forgot about them after a while and someone found them, and his aunt accused him of stealing them. She threatened to have her son "beat his ***". He is not a drug addict though. He recently quit smoking and he does not even drink alcohol.
Anyway, after this happened, he asked if he could stay with me for a few days to get away from it for a bit, because he was really upset after that happened. I said of course.
Well it has been a week and a half since he has been staying with me. I wouldn't care to let him stay with me as long as he likes, but I have a roommate and have to be considerate to her as well. We got into a situation like this a few years ago where he starting living with me and a different roommate for months and I felt really bad that he didn't pay any rent or anything. I didn't want this situation to happen again.
So last night, I politely asked him how much longer he would be staying with me and when he would be going back home. He immediately jumped down my throat and got extremely upset. He accused me of "not wanting him" and trying to "kick him out". It was absurd. He was putting words in my mouth left and right. I remained very stoic because I didn't think what I asked was that bad, but he really blew everything out of proportion. Finally, he asked me to take him back to his house and started packing his things. But the real shocker came when he said, with malice and contempt dripping from his voice "I'm going to cut my wrists tonight when I get home. I just want you to know that." It was such a slap in the face, I didn't know what to say. He said it with an air of trying to guilt me into letting him stay. I didn't want to be forced into letting him get what he wanted, after everything I've already given him.
I let it go, thinking he was just threatening me. Finally, we got in the car, and as we pulled away, he broke down into terrible sobs and starting punching himself in the leg. I stopped the car in a parking lot and just sat. I had no idea what to do. I'm not good with extreme emotions.
He started yelling about how "no one wants him" and about how "he is a burden to everyone". I told him that I want him and loved him but he never listens to me when he is upset like that. His word is all he can hear when he gets those ideas in his head. He said he would rather sleep on the street or in a homeless shelter than go back to his house. And over and over he kept saying that if he had to go back to his house, he would cut himself. And I know he would too, because he has done it before, with an old girlfriend. How could I have that on my conscience? Finally, I broke down, and we went back to my house.
I am so extremely frustrated. He is 24 years old and he acts out like a child. He lets stupid, false accusations from his aunt get to him. He seems to think it is everyone else's responsibility to take care of him and give him a place to live. He thinks the idea of getting a job and getting his OWN place to live is out of the question.
I don't know what to do. When I try to tell him he needs to act like an adult and either put up with the crap at his house, or get his own place. He blows up and yells at me, accusing me of not wanting him. How on earth do I respond to that??! It's like he refuses to be an adult.
It's not fair to me. He can't live with me again, not when I have a roommate. I've done him such a huge courtesy by letting him stay with me for this long, not to mention that I give him rides everywhere because he doesn't have a car. I don't want to break up with him, either because I do love him. I just wish he would get his act together and be an adult.
And honestly, if I did break up with him, because of how bad he claims everything else in his life is, I have no doubts that he would honestly try to kill himself. He constantly tells me how much he loves me and I am the best thing he has in his life. But what do I do? I do not want to lay down and be a doormat for him to walk over. I have to stand up for myself, too. But he is just so unstable and fragile, and he won't talk to a therapist about it either.
Can anyone give me any advice? I really need help.
4 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoI found a Doctor Who DVD with what I think are real autographs on the cover. Do you think they are real?
I was just at my local music/dvd shop today, and I found a copy of the fifth series dvd with what looks suspiciously like Matt Smith’s and Karen Gillian’s signatures on the front. They looked real but I couldn’t be sure. I even asked the cashier, but he said he didn’t know if they were real, it had just been shipped to them like that.
I’ve been looking online to see if there were copies released with signatures printed on them, but I haven’t seen anything like that. I’m really starting to think the autographs are real.
Anyone any opinions? I’ve had the store put it on hold for me for 24 hours, so I can go back and get it if I think it’s real.

1 AnswerVideo & Online Games10 years agoMy new landlord is charging me for ridiculous renovation fees! Help!?
I moved in to an apartment in April of '10. The Apartment was not in great shape at the time. The previous landlord had only moved out about 2 days before I moved in and the place had not been cleaned, but it was in a really good location so I jumped on the opportunity, even though the place had not been renovated in a really long time, and lots of things were old and dirty (the carpet, shower, oven, etc.). Like an idiot, I didn't take pictures of anything.
About 3-4 months before my lease was set to end (lets say around January of this year), a new company bought the building from my landlord. Their immediate intention was to completely renovate the property as soon as everyone had moved out, including ripping up carpets, replacing appliances, redoing the bathrooms, etc.
Well I moved out on May 31, and now they are trying to charge me $500 for my oven not being clean and to replace the carpet, even though it was in that condition when I moved in! Can they do this?! When I signed my lease with the original landlord, he had no intention of renovating and I in no way agreed to be funding a renovation of the property, but that's exactly what the new landlord is trying to get me to do!
I have witnesses to say what the property was like when I moved in, and even a friend who lived in the apartment a few years before I did, and it was in just as bad of shape then as it was when I lived there.
What can I do to get out of paying these ridiculous fees?
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate10 years agoWhat would cause a dislocated toe when not doing physical activity?
This has happened twice now in the last few months.
While doing nothing more than just sitting down and maybe flexing my feet and toes slightly, one of my little toes, I think, became dislocated. There was suddenly and intense pain in my toes, and even though I was wearing socks, I could tell be feeling them that one of my toes was sticking out at an odd angle. It took a minute or so, but I managed both times to straighten them out. They were both very sore afterwards as well.
Is this an actual dislocation, or just something strange happening with my foot? And if so, does anyone know why this would be happening, even when I'm doing nothing other than flexing my toes?
Thanks.
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoMy ex still loves me but doesn't want to be in a relationship anymore.?
My boyfriend of two years and I separated about 3 weeks ago. We lived together for nearly a year. After a few days of being alone, I regretted breaking up and wanted to get back together. But he had decided that he no longer wanted to be in a relationship, and moved out a few days later.
The reasons he gave for wanting to break up was that in the last 6 years, there had only been about 6 months when he was not in a relationship, and he said that he just wants to be alone. He said he "doesn't have any more to give." I don't really understand what this means.
He tells me he still loves me and we still talk and text each other all the time. I've been really depressed about it because since he has moved out, I live alone, which I have never had to do before and it is really hard. For a while I thought he just didnt care anymore because he was going out with his friends every single night and seemed just fine about everything but there was one night when he got extremely depressed and he said breaking up was really hard on him.
Which is why I just don't understand why he wants to do this. We both still love each other and we are both depressed about breaking up. Do you think this might just be a temporary thing he needs to go through, like a break? Or does this sound like a final break up? I really cannot figure this whole situation out. Yesterday for instance, I hung out with him and his friends, eating pizza and playing ping pong and it was a really great time. He definitely wants to keep me in his life, but I just want to be more than that.
What do you think?
