  • Dog unwell and not eating?

I have a 12 year old Pomeranian dog. Around a month back, he had high fever for almost 3-4 days (104 deg F) and stopped eating. Now we took him to the vet and did the necessary diagnosis and blood tests, xrays and ultrasound as well. All the tests looked normal initially except for the spleen which was slightly enlarged and the vet suggested it could be some sort of infection. He was still feeling sick, not eating and no bowel movement as well. The vet happened to pull out a bubble gum from inside his rectum and we thought that might have been the cause. He slowly started feeling better and started eating and drinking normally and bowel movement was also returning to normal. Now since the past 3 days he did not eat properly at all. We have been giving him drips while he was not eating. We would have to feed him little quantites of milk, handfeed biscuits but he drinks water on his own. Bowel movement is normal.

He has been vommitting of late on alternate days (just once a day). We did notice mucus and yellowish liquid in the vomit. In his bowels we did notice a white sort of fatty susbstance also. He has been sluggish and sleeps for a long time and has not been as active as he was in general apart from one off days. The vet prescribed the following medicines:

Pantocid (pantoprozole sodium), Silymarin, Astymin (amino acid and vitamin syrup).

The vets have not been able to correctly diagnose what the exact root cause it and it has been a great cause of concern for the family. Can anyone suggest what the issue might me or have faced something similar?

  • Failure to stop and pedestrian crossing ticket in NJ?

    Hi,

I got a ticket for "Failure to stop at pedestrian crosswalk" in Perth Amboy, NJ.. This is what happened:

It was around 8.45 PM at night and a road at a speed limit of 25. I was driving under the speed limit. Now at a pedestrian crosswalk, I saw a couple of cops cross by, and I did slow down further and was going through. The suddenly thing girl runs and crosses the road and I do apply my brakes and stop well before the crosswalk and without even any screeching. The girl coolly went by. Then the cop (who is on foot) asks me to park and then gives me a ticket stating "I wasn't paying attention and slammed my brakes". If I did not pay attention, I would have hit the cops as well and the girl. And the ticket says "failure to stop at pedestrian crossing", and if I did not stop how did he pull me over on foot at that very crossing even without me crossing it?? I am planning to contest this in court. Do I have any chance of winning?

  • Severe Flexibility Problem?

I have had severe flexibility problems since childhood. I feel this most in my lower body area - my hips and legs. For example, since childhood, I have never been able to sit on the floor cross legged. I have been trying but with pain. Can someone suggest me a way so that I can be very flexible. I am ready to do anything for it. Thanks in advance.
