My husband just took a new job down in Tampa Florida. We will be moving out there at the end of June. Can anybody give me some good advice as far as where to live. The office is in Land of Lakes Commuting is not a problem for him but would like to be fairly close to the office. I need to live somewhere with good schools, I have a 9 year old. We will be renting and our budget will be up to $2,500. Any other information would be appreciated. I've never been to Florida, am originally from California but have lived in Chicago for the past year. Is it hot all year?

I'm looking into getting a bird in the future. I have had experience with birds before so I do understand the amount of time and energy which is needed when you have a pet bird.

I am specifically looking into either a Senegal or a Quaker parrot. Can somebody tell me the pros and cons of these birds as pets. Or is there another bird that I should think about. I would like to have a bird that will bond with me and also be good for the family. Talking is NOT a priority for me however a loving bird that loves affection and gives affection is very important. Any experiences or information would be helpful. I want as much information as possible so I can pick a bird that will be right for me. Thank you so much!!

Can somebody out there tell me how hot it gets in Naperville IL. I'm moving in June from Sacramento Ca. As I write this now the temperature is 100 degrees outside. I hate this heat and want to know what the summers are going to be like for me. I've heard there is humidity. Is it anything like the Kentucky, Tennessee or Alabama? Thanks everybody. I would like to continue working with wildlife, however I am having a hard time finding a place to volunteer. I have written several email to different organizations but have not gotten any responses. Can somebody out there help me with this? A name...phone number or email address of a wildlife care center would be great. Any suggestions?

HI! I've been a ferret Mom for almost one year. I have just a few questions that I am hoping somebody out there can answer.

First of all this is his first Spring time shedding. This time the shedding seems different, I think he has changed colors and he looks a little thinner. Has anybody else had this experience?

I would also like to know what a "dook" is. Is it a sound? Do they make this sound a lot? I have only heard my ferret make noise one time, when I first got him. Should my little baby be making noises when he is happy? I'm still learning as I go so any more information I might need to know would be great. Thanks so much.

HI everybody! My friend and I are having a Harry Potter sleep over party for our kids and for us Mom's too. I'm looking for some ideas for some food to make. I've read all the books, but I can't remember the different foods that they eat, except pumpkin juice. So any ideas would be wonderful. I would like to make some type of special witches and wizards dinner, then later on while we watch the movie I wanted to have some magical snacks. Also, if you can think of anything else, maybe a game or something, let me know. We already have an adult's witches brew thought of.....LOL mojitos! Just need help with the kids. I'm hoping to find out a little information about the area. My sister-in-law and husband maybe moving there. They have three children so information about the schools would be really nice to have. What is there to do in the area? What is the weather like? What is the best area to live in?

Her husband's company would be in Huber Heights. How is this town to live in, and the schools? Or do you suggest other areas? They would probably buy and would like to keep the price of a house under $300,000

Hi. I hope somebody out there can help me. There is a possibility that we will be moving to the Chicago area. We should find out next week. The company is in Homewood. I've been doing my research and seems that this area is kinda ghetto? So here is my question: If you worked in Homewood where would you live. Our budget for rent will be $2,000 a month also take into consideration that I have an 8 year old who needs to go to a good school (possibly a private Catholic) and an 18 year old who will want to go to JR. College. We are wanting to rent a home not a condo because we want a yard. Also of course living in a safe area is a must. We are an Italian/Mexican family so we love diversity, however, our most important factor would be safety and the schools. We will be moving from Northern California. And yes, I do know the winters are cold so please no negative comments about our move. We are moving due to the job situation here in this area. I would have never imagined Chicago, but actually we are very excited for a change in life style and think we will fit in well. Any other information would be greatly appreciated, such as info on schools, or rental agencies. The company is flying my husband out next week to "meet" him and have a face to face interview. So I'm sure we'll know in the next week or two if he gets the job. Also, are there fireflies in this area? I loved seeing them when I was in the Army, stationed in Alabama. Hi. We just found out yesterday that my husband is getting a new job up in the Tacoma area. We are moving from the Sacramento California area. I've heard some good and bad things about Tacoma. Not sure if we want to live in Tacoma or some where nearby. My main concern is a good school for my 8 year old son. Can you please suggest an area in Tacoma or a nearby town that has good schools? I would also like to know what the temperature is in the summer. Does it get into the 90's there? I'm thinking it doesn't but I just want to make sure. Also, is there a place in the area that I can continue my Italian language education? Do you know if Seattle has an Italian community? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Hi, I am looking for an old friend, who I knew when I was in basic training in the Army. The year was 1987 (the summer) and we went through basic training at Ft. McClellan Alabama. Her name is Kelly Brannon. I'm not sure if I have the last name spelled correctly. As I recall Kelly's home town was some where in Texas. If anybody out there knows who she is please write me. She should be around 40 years old. We were both going to be MP's and also we were both going to go through Airborne school. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

We are an American family moving to either Montevideo or BA. We thought we wanted to live in Montevideo due to the lower crime rate etc, but the company my husband will be working for has told us it's better to live in a suburb of BA. So here are my questions.

1.) Exactly how bad is the crime in BA. I've heard it's on the level of Rio.

2.)How is the crime in the suburbs?

3.) which suburb is the best to live in?

4.) we need a bi-lingual school for our 8 year old son which is the best?

5.) if we have the guaranty from my husbands company what do you think rent would be on a 3 or 4 bedroom house?

I just got back from our town's Veteran's day parade. My 8 year old son marched with his boy scout troop. I have to admit this was my first Veteran's Day parade and it won't be my last. Today has been the best Veteran's Day I have ever had. SO how do you feel today? What branch did you serve? I was in the Army, 101 MP Co and I was also Airborne. To all you VETS out there....THANK YOU. WE ARE THE BEST!

I've only had my ferret for about 6 months so I am new at this. He is shedding a lot and I would like to know how long it will last and how many times a year he will shed? Do I specifically need a ferret brush or will any brush do. Thank you in advance.
