Slow rising HGC levels (Ectopic ruled out with laparascopic test)?
Early on in my pregnancy my HGC levels were doubling every 69 hours (borderline normal) Last week Thursday I had an OB appointment and nothing could be seen in my uterus. They performed a laparoscopic procedure on me to rule out ectopic in both my tubes and ovaries. My level was drawn again and the doubling time had slowed to 102 hours. At this point I was suppose to be 5 weeks 4 days and my levels were only 1252...They were 742 about 3 days earlier. I was told to wait until this Thursday (one week since last check was done) to see iof anything could be seen in the uterus. Can anyone tell me if you have had a similar story? Good or Bad outcomes. Bare in mind I do not have any bleeding only a strange white and sometimes pinkish discharge.

1 AnswerPregnancy7 years agoStrange Pregnancy HELP!!!?
Today I am suppose to be 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant. After determining that my HGC levels were doubling about every 64 hrs and being assured that it was in a somewhat normal range (48-72hrs), I went to my OB appointment yesterday expecting to see a gestational sack and possibly a heartbeat. At the appointment my OB did a trans-vaginal ultrasound and could only see two very small dots in my uterus and some weird shadowing on my right ovary. He sent me to have my HGC levels checked and put a rush on the results. The last draw which was done on Monday, came back at 742. This time (Thursday) they came back at 1252? (slowed down from 64 hrs to about 105) Because I had an ectopic pregnancy once before he told me that he wanted to perform a laparoscopic check of my Fol. tubes to see if the pregnancy was occurring in one of them. Fast forward about 4 hours. The Doctor came to have a word with me after the surgery and told me that there was nothing in my tubes or on my ovaries ruling out ectopic. Where in the world is the baby? This whole thing is driving me crazy, if I'm miscarrying I would like it to just be done with. Any similar stories or possible explanations? I'm suppose to be re-scanned in about a week.
No bleeding or pain

1 AnswerTrying to Conceive7 years agoHGC levels and early pregnancy?
I am 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant today, last week at 4 weeks (day of scheduled period) I had some spotting with a few small clots. I went to my OB the next day (Monday) and he ordered an HGC blood test. The test came back at 131.7. He ordered another one for Wednesday and it came back at 205 (about 44 hrs after the first one).During this time my pregnancy test were still fairly light. He told me that because of my numbers he felt that I was in the early stages of a miscarriage. That was almost a week ago and I still have had no bleeding since and my Home pregnancy test lines are as dark as or darker than the control line. What do you think the possibility of this being a normal pregnancy are? Any similar stories you can share good or bad?
2 AnswersPregnancy7 years ago4 weeks with one day of bleeding and clotting?
Bleeding on day period was due with a few small clots, also lots of cramping. Only Dark brown cm the day after no sign of bleeding and no pain. 4 weeks pregnant, my HGC levels were 132 and my uterine lining is 12mm. Doctor ruled out an ectopic and my cervix is closed. 1 AnswerTrying to Conceive7 years agoNormal for 4 weeks pregnant?
My my is 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant and yesterday she started bleeding bright red blood and experiencing sharp pain and cramps. We are devastated as this would make out 3rd M/C. She went to see her OB and he discovered a very large cyst on her ovary. Could it be that it's the corpus luteum and the reason for the bleeding and pain? She has virtual no pain today. Additionally he ordered a Blood HCG test which came back at 132 and the lining of her uterus measures 12mm (normal?). is there any hope that this could still be a successful pregnancy?
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive7 years agoShore Excursions St. Maarten & St.Thomas?
I'm going on a cruise (Oasis of the Seas) in a few weeks and I wanted to know what are the best shore excursions to do in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Additionally, I would like to know how much cheaper it would be to book once I get there rather than booking through the cruise line.
Thanks in advance for great answers!
P.S I'm not interested in getting into the water (snorkeling or diving)

What must the level of HCG be to make an OPK extremely positive? Wife had heavy bleeding with clots 10 days ago that lasted 2 days, pregnancy test are still postive and Opks are extremely positive.
4 AnswersTrying to Conceive10 years agoPregnant after "Monthly flow" AF?
My wife and are are TTC, this month we thought we hit the jackpot. Everything seemed perfect until.....her period??? We were devastated! However, this period was not a normal period. She had no pain or cramps and it only lasted two days, but it had the regular period clots and was fairly heavy. She had a few pregnancy test left over from last cycle so for the heck of it she tried one. Whatta you know? Positive!! We went to the Doctor's office (3 weeks 6 days pregnant?) and he did an ultrasound. He saw nothing that suggest pregnancy in her uterus (not that we were expecting to see anything so soon.) He told us that he did not rule out the possibility of a viable pregnancy and told us that we should return in about 2 weeks for another ultrasound. Today is now 9 days since the bleeding started, and we took a digital test and the last First response test and are still getting definite positives on both. Would enough HCG still be in her body to get a positive on a digital after all this time when she started bleeding at just 3 weeks 2 days (1 week two days from ovulation) pregnant? Sorry for the book, but looking for similar stories and helpful answers!

3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoThickening Uterine Wall?
Fortunately my wife works at a medical centre that does X-Rays and Ultrasounds. We started actively TTC (Trying to conceive) for a little less than a month. We are both excited about becoming new patents and we took all the necessary steps to ensure that we have success. So much so that she took an ultrasound just for the sake of it a few minutes ago. She noticed that the walls of her uterus appears to be thicker than it was on the scan she took from a month back before we started trying. She is currently 7 DPO (days past ovulation) could this be a sign that we succeeded in our attempts? Looking forward to great answers!!
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive1 decade agoFalse Negative Pregnancy test?
My wife and I started actively preparing our bodies to conceive for about a month. She stopped taking THE PILL around the same time. According to her Fertility chart she was suppose to ovulate on the 9th of this month (February 2011) We baby danced on all of the days that we were suppose to. She has been taking Materna since the day we started trying, we heard that the vitamins in it help to promote pregnancy and produce healthy babies. With all the excitement of finally becoming Parents, she took a pregnancy test this morning 6 DPO (days post ovulation) and it turned up negative. I just want to confirm that it really is too soon to test. Looking forward to great answers.....
4 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoSide effects after Hernia removal surgery/Appendectomy?
I had an operation a few months ago to repair a ventral/umbiblical hernia. I have noticed that recently my stomach is slightly swollen and kinda hard at certain times (when I eat or I have gas). I would like to know if this is a normal occurance. I also had an operation during this same time to remove my appendix. however, I'm still having similar pains as I did pre-op in my lower right abdomen. It is not as intense as before, but it still hurts. Is this something that typically happens after surgery?

1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoShould I continue sending her messages?
I am a very shy male and I have had my eyes on this one special girl for months now. I have gotten a few indications that she is also interested in me. We went to the movies recently and both had a great time. She texted me after I dropped her home from the movies. So I figured she was trying to let me know it was ok for me to text her. Ever since then I have always been the one texting her first. I made a promise to myself that I would not be the one to text her first any more. I wanted to see if she would miss me and text me first. The last time I texted her was day before yesterday and Im dying to send her more messages. Do you think I should play hard and wait for her to text me first or should I just go ahead text her and invite her out again?
