Can a person set up some kind of function on a calculator to play gags on another person?
I work in a business where we will run numbers to calculate things for our clients. And can think of one particular man that our numbers come out wrong for frequently. We've bought new calculators, and even purposely bought another brand. He seems to always enjoy telling us to get a new calculator. This happens often enough that I wonder if there is some simple way that he can input some kind of function to throw it off while my (or another employee's) back is turned?
1 AnswerSmall Business4 years agoDo you know how to get any information on criminal cases that happens years ago?
I'm trying to find information on a court case from 1931 to 1934. My local courthouse told me they don't keep such records. I'm trying to write a novel, and put actual names to the lawyers, the sheriff, the judge etc. I can find the big things like the killer and who got killed, but having trouble coming up with the smaller things.
1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police8 years agoIs Grouply a legitimate service?
I've been invited by a slight aquaintance to join a Grouply group. And I didn't know if Grouply was a real service or if this was spam that might be connected to a virus.
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoHave prostitutes invaded Facebook?
I've had several women, who I didn't know, ask to be my Facebook Friend. And then looking on their profile, trying to figure out if I used to know them, or if they know someone I know, I kind of get the impresson that they are prostitutes. Some have a link on their profile set to Adult sites or Swinger sites. Has anyone else run into this?
3 AnswersFacebook1 decade agoAre some of these things that claim to be Trojan viruses on your computer just advertisements?
Once in a while, I'll get a pop up that will tell me that I just got a Trojan virus. And it will recommend buy some brand of anti-virus besides the one that I already use.
I'll usually get rid of the pop-up then run my own anti-virus, and it doesn't detect a Trojan. And my machine doesn't run any slower or anything.
It does concern me because they tell me that I have a Trojan, but I'm beginning to think it's just jerks using stiff-arm marketing tactics.
Am I right or wrong?

Would you date her? Would you be suspicious that she's really lesbian?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoDo you know of any churches that run something like born again virgin programs?
You know maybe programs that work with people who have been rather promiscuous in the past, and try to rehabilitate them into being people who can live in a monogamous relationship.
If so, have these programs been a large success in your opinion?
How do they work, or how are they set up?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat qualities do you look for in a girlfriend or boyfriend?
Does it matter to you how good looking he/she is? How kind/sweet they are? How good a job they have? How good of a face vs. body? How many children they already have?
What matters to you?
Are too many kids, or too low paying of a job dealbreakers?
Or do you want to our earn your potential spouse so you don't car how little they earn?

I think so. Just wanting to get your views.
3 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoIs there usually a pretty big lag time between TV pilots and TV shows?
Especially now that you can watch your favorite TV shows on DVD collections, I've noticed that I think that the pilot episodes must sometimes be filmed way before, like six or nine months before the rest of the series. Because on the early episodes, the actors have different haircuts, like all the sudden between episode five and six, it looks like somebody grew two inches of hair. Stuff like that. And sometimes there's character with a large role in the first four or five episodes, who disappears or is replaced in the following episodes, but the characters never mention the character leaving, or act like they miss him when he's gone.

17 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoDo you think that the current younger generation has what amounts to a 'problem dependency' on cell phones?
I read an article in this morning's paper, where a 25 year old man shot his boss and four co-workers because the boss asked him not to use his cell phone while at work. Where I work, a home improvement store, we have a problem with our younger workers always wanting to be talking or texting on their cell phones. And building, and painting contractors, that I know, are also starting to complain that younger workers, that they hire, aren't worth keeping on the job because of how much they want to stay on the cell phone. People are also amazed at how many young people don't have to be fired because will quit a job after being questioned about how much they are using their cell phone. Also, other than a family death, or a hospitalization in the family, what do you feel are legitimate reasons that someone should be called while at work? I really think that many (not necessarily all) young people have lost all sense of proportion about when and why to use cell phones while at work.
4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoDo you think that the Hair Metal era is currently undervalued and underrated?
I've been listening to some of that music again, after some time off from it, and I don't see that it's that far off of 1970s Hard Rock, which seems to be held in a lot higher esteem by most people.
18 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoHow long does it take for a criminal case to become considered a unsolved case, or a cold case?
I've been reading a friend's screenplay, at a writers' group that I'm part of, and he has the police declaring a case unsolved within a few months. I, myself, actually think that they would wait at least a year. But I don't know.
7 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIs it the singer or the song?
When listening to music, do you only take the piece of music into account? Or do you also take the singer: how they look physically, how they dress, and what their image is socially or politically into account? If so why?
5 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoDo you feel that New England is over-represented politically?
I mean in the early days of the country when travel was hard, I can understand why they had such small states. But now don't your feel that it's kind of excessive for states the size of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Conneticut, Vermont, and New Hampshire to have two Senators when states the size of Texas, California, and Alaska only have two Senators. I think it would actually be practical to combine New England into one state. It would definitely be more fair to the rest of the country representation-wise.
Also, maybe California should be broken in two, and Texas broken into four. Why have such excessively large states?
The United States is kind of messed up that way isn't it? Political voting, the electoral college and all of that would be much more fair if all states were similar sized.
