My work is planning a Family Literacy Night. The theme would be "Books are Full of Characters." We like the idea of everyone dressing up as their favorite characters from books. We want the stations to be themes from books. I need ideas on what books we should and what activities we can do to go with those books.

We plan to have the event be 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the evening.

Please give me some ideas and any tips/suggestions/best practices you have!

We are growing summer squash in our first garden. We have lots of squash growing, but once it gets to about 4 inches long, the flower at the end wilts and the squash starts to rot. Any suggestions on how to prevent this? Also when should we pick them?

We did great on our carrots though! And the tomatoes are growing!

I have an offer from an insurance agent to be a producer for him, but I'm not quite sure what that means. He wants me to write policies for his appointments (he has multiple) and he will give me a certain amount in compensation. Does this mean that I can work on going into business for myself while I work for him as a producer and use the connections I have made for myself?

I don't know the brand of the car seat. My sister-in-law borrowed the base of it, but my step-daughter is coming over and I need the car seat. Can it be used without that part?
