  • Conure and temperature change?

I have a pineapple conure who loves to go for car rides. 2 - 3 times a week I will take her with me to pick the kids up from school or sports practice. She doesn't get out of the car most times and spends no more than a minute actually outside. As the seasons are changing and temperatures are dropping, I am wondering how cold is to cold for her to go on car rides.

  • What is the plant/weed growing in our yard?

It closely resembles a wild strawberry plant. The berries are small and red with small seeds on the outside like a strawberry. The berries grow upward instead of down like a strawberry. The berries are usually hard unless it has been raining then they will be a little juicy but does not smell. The flowers are yellow (I think) but similar shape to strawberry blooms.

  • What type of presser foot is this?

I have an old New Home sewing machine my grandparents gave me several years ago. There are a couple extra presser feet in the flip drawer that I have never used. Today I am curious.

** It looks like half of a foot. The left side is solid and so is the end/toe/ part about 1/4 inch wide. There is an open "c" shaped cut out for the needle. The right side is cut out/grooved on the underside.

    What is it?

There is also a plastic piece that snaps over the feeder plate(?) Why or When would you want to use this?

    Thanks.

  • What is the most prolific pest that is native to North America?

Rats came to North America via ships. The same for cockroaches. (Unless someone can prove my husband wrong.)

What is the "pest" that bothers us the most now that is actually native to our continent?

  • How many toys are enough?

My kids are 6 and 9. They have A LOT of toys. They don't play with all of them obviously but when I think about getting rid of something they seem to start playing with it. I don't think they can easily find some of the toys and forget that they even exist. We don't have room to store all of them and I'm tired of the clutter. How many can I get rid of and not scar them for life? They do tend to play with toys more than watch tv or play on the computer.

  • Where can I find a BOYS diary with a lock?

My 8 year old wants a diary with a lock. I have looked in many places for the last several months and found lots of girlie ones but nothing remotely boyish for less than 30 dollars. Tonight I have spent 3-4 hours online and am very frustrated.

  • What responsibilities does your 8 year old have?

Our son does simple things like taking out the trash, cleaning his room and making his bed, puts his clean laundry away, and feeds the pets. These things are done occasionally not consistently. I'm wondering what other families do and what about allowance???

  • How much should you tip the driver of a complimentary hotel shuttle?

Our family has recently stayed at two different hotels and utilized their free shuttle several times. We would take the shuttle to the train station/airport to catch public transportation in the morning and then use it to return to the hotel in the afternoon. We feel we should tip the driver something (and we did) but we are unsure about what is customary.
