I have a new Dell that has only the one cd rom drive. My son put a Nero Express LG CD/Rewriter on, but when I put the cd in -the computer doesn't find it and I only have "C" drive Can anyone give any advice? Do I need to buy an updated rewriter or do I need differant drives>>>>>>>I know nothing about this stuff except I want to down-load my pictures and stuff.

I'll bet he voided the warranty too! The instructions that come with those are pretty clear on how to install them. Double check what he did, or take it to somebody...

Open "Device Manger". I just clicked a link on the help page. It lists every device. Anything with a big yellow question mark needs a driver. Install the driver from the installation disk.

First off I'd make sure all the cables are connected correctly. Loose cables can often be an unsees problem. I would also check teh device manager as the previous poster mentioned.
