How many of you have adopted an unwanted American infant? How many of you have volunteered to comfort premature infants in NICU while they are experiencing drug withdrawls? How many of you have donated money to a battered women and children shelter? How many of you have donated time/money/food to a food bank? Just curious if any of you are actually trying to help out these women, or are you just content being judgemental......

cma: I am pro-choice, and I have donated time and money for all of the above reasons, but I have not adopted. It is hard enough for me to financially support my ONE child, even with a college degree and full time job....

I'm sure about 2% of all the "pro-Lifers" have and the rest of the 98% just like to promote the other 2%.
You have made some very good points. But then, some pro-lifers, as it were, are people who would advise a girl not to have an abortion if she has any other options at all, while recognizing that the choice must ultimately be hers. So I guess I'm not hard core enough to qualify as a "pro-lifer." However, I think a lot of them do take it seriously enough to donate to women's shelters and at least help out in ways that are feasible to their own condition. I know of one very sincere lady who has a pregnancy help hot-line in her home, and answers emergency calls in the middle of the night from girls who are being pressured to have abortions who do not want to. So they are not all talk, by any means.
I know a lady who is considering having an abortion because her baby has a spinal disorder. I told her that I would pay for the in utero corrective spinal surgery out of pocket and if she still didn't want the baby when he is born my wife and I will take him. I am against killing babies for ANY reason. The ONLY time I can see having an abortion is during a tubal pregnancy because if I understand correctly there is a 0% chance that the baby will survive anyway. Even then I feel that the situation is tragic.
If you think it's okay to have an abortion as long as you're not too far along...you might want to know the truth. If you can handle the truth... go to: w w w . a b o r t 7 3 . c o m (No spaces, though) The rapist argument sounds good on the surface, but the problem is that it is not a good excuse for murder...statistics show that most rape victims - who currently all have the choice to let their rapist's baby live or get killed, CHOOSE to keep the baby...making this argument practically a mute point.

well thats a wonderful thing. I did not know with all of the restrictions that you would be allowed to go into a nicu and tend to any child. I believe a life is a life and I knew from the moment I found out I was pregnant that I was carrying my child! Not a fetus
