Is being honest enough ?

I feel that not everyone that comes into your life is meant to be there as a long term bf/gf relationship. There have been people who I enjoyed spending time with but haven’t had “love” feelings for. I have always been honest and upfront about it with them (letting them know that the most we could have would be a friends with benefits relationship). Eventually they turned out to fall in love all the while knowing I could never return the love. Do you think its enough to be honest with them or is it my responsibility once I know they have fallen in love, to end the relationship ? Is it my responsibility if they are in pain that they cant have things the way they want it or have I done my part in being honest from day one ?

Whether it's morally right or not, if you don't end the relationship when it reaches that point, you are asking for problems. Why continue if you know they are going to make you feel bad at the least and may become a crazy stalker at the worst?

being honest is really important in situations like that, but i think once you get to a certain point in a relationship where you know its not really heading anywhere its time to end it. if you know you will never have strong feelings for that person you're going to end up wasting a lot of time, and if you know the person loves you chances are you will end up feeling guilty whether its your fault or not. if you feel the other person is getting too attached move on before things get ugly.

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become.

say them honestly n make them understand that u like him as a frnd only. u don't feel anything else. n plz don't end that frndship as if someone loves u truely will always understand what u think n what u want n what u like n if he want u to be happy always than there will be no prob.

hey, why go breaking up a precious friendship just because he has feelings for you? just let them know that you're not interested to prevent heart-broken. if he's still hoping, let him be. he'll learn his lesson when you've finally met someone.
