Advice needed. My friends parents told her she can't talk to me. Story inside.?

Well about two weeks ago me and her went to Flordia. And well to sum up how she treated me there: B-i-t-c-h! She bossed me around and was really demanding. Oh, and really MOODY! It was her trip but that doesn't mean she can treat me like shitt. When we got back I was telling her how I felt. But she is way too defensive! Well the thing is she hasn't ever been a good friend. Always maniplitive, mean, and one moment she'd be your friend and then not. Well I had enough of this and told her. Long story short: Things got really awkward at school the next week. We're in 8th grade. So I was trying to ignore her so I could get my space, and I don't really want to make up, so trying for good. But she kept trying and started being creeply weird + nice. Now she tells my friend to tell me we aren't allowed to talk. I'm sort of afraid that she'll try to be catty and mean. My friend said that she talked about me all lunch while I was in the office. How should I handle her? How should I act around her?

Well I wanted it to end. But she didn;t. And now her parents say that we can;t be friends or talk. But I know it's just an excuse. I know i have stable friends who I've treated better then she has, so I don;t feel worried about that. I just want her to leave me alone and now that she "has to" she still is acting weird. More needy, helpless, and uses a baby voice with my other friends.

Do you think she'll be out of teh pictures next year? Or will she stick around?

I think she is quite likely to stick around for a while, but lash out towards the end, when she realizes that the friendship is definitely over. Watch out for the behind the back issues. Good luck!

I don't think you need to "handle" this at all. She is saying that she is not allowed to speak to you....so, let it rest at that. She can talk to anyone she wants about you, what happened, the fact that she is wearing pink socks...but that shouldn't affect you. And if you really must "handle" it, then either a)write her a letter or b)pull her aside at school and tell her that you think that the time that you were friends was great, but obviously you two have come to a cross roads in your relationship. She either starts to act like a real friend, and not be so bossy, defensive or mean, or it's time for you two to part company. I can almost guarantee you she will promise to be a "better friend" and (unless I am horribly mistaken) she will revert to her former behavior as soon as she thinks she can get away with it.

Honestly, you sound like an articulate person who already knows what the best thing is to do. Don't worry about anyone else...take care of yourself.

only one thing to do in this situation, hon. IGNORE her. walk past her, ignore what she's sayin. you're in the 8th grade right? that means next is high school and it'll be so big you won't have to deal with her. i always tell my other friend who is in the position of people being mean to her that she has to ignore them b/c it's just something that is so little in the expanse of this world. you're better then that. and if her parents said you can't hang out...well good! now you have an excuse right there for you. don't play games, sweetie. just cut out. :)

You do not need someone like that around. I would just ignore her she is trying to get your attention and get a reaction out of you. Don't respond to anything she tells you or other people. When you are in her presence ignore her. If she starts to stalk you or indangers you in anyway tell your parents or teacher at school you can trust.

Be glad it's over --- who needs all that wacko drama --- get friends that are more stable!
