Please help me with shipping charges?

I am starting an online store and I am not sure what to do about shipping. I want to be extremely fair...but not end up paying for the cost of shipping myself. I will be selling baby shower gifts and items that will not really be very heavy...10 - 15 lbs. will prob. be the max and I would like to ship all over the world...I have no idea what to do and this is holding me up from opening my store...please...can anyone give me some decent guidelines to follow? It can be flate rates or by cost or by weight...please help!

There is The US Postal Service, US parcel service, Federal Express, just to name a few. You can look them up on your search engine, and then contact them about there prices!!

U can try to go freight companies n ask them for quotations, and if your products are light n small and u want them fast, u can check with the courier companies or even Sing Post. Research on the different prices and maybe u would like to check with your suppliers what kind of freight do they offer? There r some terms that u might want to take note, such as FOB, delivery charges for pick-up,etc. Not really clear on terms, can check with freight co.s... (check the yellow pages)... Good Luck there!

Check out www.abnsave.com. It's a free buying group for small businesses--you can receive up to 28% on UPS express and international shipping.

Don't call it shipping. Call it shipping and handling. Then charge flat rates per item for regular USA shipping, express USA shipping, and international shipping. Make sure your rates are higher than the shipping vendors you choose to use. What you pocket in the difference you can call it "handling". (People are also paying for your time to ship the items they bought.)
